Room is small but clean and relatively newly remodelled. We enjoyed the hot tub. We thought breakfast was included, but there is no breakfast room. Mitzy's Restaurant, which is attached to the hotel serves a hearty varied breakfast with generous portions at a reasonable price. This hotel is fine if you're just looking for a place to stay. This hotel is right in the heart of downtown Sandpoint, which is a very cute little area. This hotel does except dogs. The staff was very friendly and very accomodating to my husband and our beagle. All the employees were very friendly and took care of our needs. Our grandchildren, as well as ourselves, enjoyed the well maintained heated pool and hot tub. Even though our room was close to the entry door (yes you could hear people coming/going all night) the heater/air condition muffled the sound some, the kids running up and down the stairs sounded like a heard of elephants (THIN WALLS that vibrated). Pretty generic and basic hotel, but well located for ski trips to nearby Schweitzer Mountain (about a 10 mile drive) and just a few blocks from restaurants and bars in downtown Sandpoint. On ski trips, one usually doesn't spend much time awake in the room anyway, so this place was adequate for the purpose and a fraction of the cost of staying on the […] mountain. Only real negative was a large population of noisy, drunk college kids roaming the halls, seems like a few words from the staff to them might have been nice. We smelled the strong odor of the indoor pool the minute we walked into the lobby. The room was small & confining. Maid service was not good. However, the front desk personnel did their best to correct room problems & the fresh coffee in the lobby was nice. Hotel personnel were also nice.

The hotel itself has seen better days in the rooms. An update would be great to see. Room was clean, bed comfortable. When it comes to pet friendly that is not the impression I recieved. Upon checking in....the desk clerk seemed offended that I was travelling with our family dog. She is well travelled & never barks or causes any trouble. An extremely […] reasonable fee of $10 was charged. There are NO green spaces around the hotel for an animal to relieve themselves. Since it was snowing we managed to avoid that particular problem. Also...finding a garbage to dispose of pet waste was next to impossible. A couple garbages outside the hotel would be greatly appreciated. Read more

I had read reviews that stated there was a hot continental breakfast which there is not. We chose this hotel for that reason alone...the convenience of having breakfast provided in the hotel. We travelled during the summer so this hotel seemed a bit over priced for what we got. Staff from the restaurant providing room service seemed overworked. We arrived just in time to order room service before calling it a night, and opened the door after hearing a commotion outside, to discover they were attempting to deliver it to the wrong room, and […] had dropped and smashed 2 glasses of juice in the process. We attempted to order room service for breakfast on our last morning, only to reach a busy signal for quite some time, and when i finally got through was told she would call me back. The complex seems to have undergone improvent from old motel style. We stayed on the lower floor and could hear footsteps from upper floor. Also disappointed they didn't have exercise room. The restaurant food was good and the staff was very friendly.
