Reviewed by Y of MN on Dec 28, 2009
I decided to give this hotel a try because it was located right on the strip and not very far from the other hotels. The price was very affordable and the place was beautiful inside and out. The room was clean and always kept clean throughout your stay. Beds were made everyday and bathrooms were cleaned, too. The only thing I thought the hotel lacked was the fact that they didn't really have very many shops or quick fast-food restaurants like some of the other hotels. They only have 3 fast food: Nathan's, McDonald's and this pizza place. They did however, have a couple nice restaurants like Grand Wok and one of Emeril's restaurants. My fiance and I had the chance try out their buffet and it was ridiculus! We paid a whopping fifty four bucks for dinner and waited over 30 minutes to get seated. Then we discovered that they only had about 3-4 rows of food.. which weren't all good. I was very disappointed. I did however, liked their dessert but for that price, I wouldn't go there again. You're better off going to the buffets at some of the other hotels.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 7, 2009
We had a Bungalow Suite which is a nice sized room on the Fourth Floor of this massive hotel/casino. I am not sure what they label this a "Bungalow" Suite since it is not detached or separated from the other assorted rooms/suites contained in this overwhelmingly large glass and green neon tower. The bed was very comfortable and the room quite clean. We arrived back at our room at midnight after dinner to find the cleaning crew working on the room next door. Trying to go to sleep to loud talking and vacumming was not pleasant. You do hear the hall traffic rather clearly so don't be surprised to be awaken throughout the early morning hours as people make their way back to rooms after too much partying.

The staff was very cordial, the rooms were clean, it was quiet. The only thing they need is one of those moving escalators to take you down their long hallways to and from the elevators. :) It's a beautiful hotel! We stayed there because it was close to everything we needed to be close to. The Hollywood theater was amazing inside. Very clean, and comfortable seating. Inside the rooms were kind of small but you don't really need a big room if all you are doing is sleeping in it. If you were on a prolonged stay you'd want a suite, which has a lot more room. We were very happy with our stay.

Stayed in the highly touted "West Wing"; very dissapointing. Small rooms, cramped, poorly lit, long hallways which you must navigate to reach elevators... be aware that you may have a 5-10 min walk from your room to anything of significance (bar/food/gaming). Not a 4 star experience...maybe a 3.

We stayed at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino deluxe rooms. The rooms were clean and big enough for 4 people. Our only gripe is it is little off from the center strip where the main action is(Ceasers, Belagio, Mirage, Venetian, Mirage, Treasure Island) so we had walk a lot (Even with Monorail tickets. So if you are going for more of sightseeing than gambling pick one of the above said hotel/casino or a hotel near to them.

I loved the comfort of the bed and sheets. Room service requests were fulfilled within the half hour. The layout of the casino was roomy in the main lobby and on each floor's elevator lobby. MGM has two different walks to shop and eat which allowed me to explore for a couple of hours. I would highly recommend finding a good rate (usually Sun-Mon), but either way this hotel was worth my stay.

We had a high expectation for MGM as it was our first 4 or 5 star hotel we were staying in Las Vegas. But MGM did not live up to its name and expectation. -> The hotel room seems pretty old -> The water outlet in the bathtub could give only ice cold water or burning hot water. We couldn't control the temperature at all. -> The bathroom sink did not work, it took 10 mins to drain all the water in the sink. I will not stay here anymore.

At check-in, we received an immediate upgrade at no cost to the new West Wing. The room was a bit smaller than our reserved deluxe room; however, the subtle ammentities, including a TV in the bathroom and bose clock/radio, and much lower noise level of the wing more than made up for it. The West wing also has a separate bank of elevators which access the front of the hotel which is much better than walking through the casino to get outside.

The hotel was great, very clean - not to mention they offered my husband and I tickets to both clubs in the hotel. The only down side to the hotel was the TV - it was an "old school" bubble TV. The view was great, not right on the strip - but right behind the main "lion" and it was perfect for the late morning wake up. The staff is awesome! It was overall a great stay - loved the hotel, and the club passes I mentioned - we invited two of our cousins to join, and we were just going to pay - and they let them in free as well! What great customer service for their hotel guest!
