"Great Location but needs updates"
Really can't beat the location on the bay and proximity to great restaurants. Sound proofing was lacking. Neighbors on both sides of my room sounded like they were in my room instead of theirs. I doubt I will stay here again for that reason only.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The service at this hotel was great, especially from the shuttle driver. He made me feel comfortable right away, and informed me of the great bar and grill that is inside of the hotel. "I wish I got some sleep"
Where to begin? I was looking forward to an enjoyable stay at the Wyndham. My sights were far off. To begin with the hotel room itself looks lovely and inviting on the website. Slightly larger than average. However in reality the room is small and overcrowded with tiny furniture. I was surprised to learn my deluxe king suite was not luxe at all. A couple […] hours into our stay and I noticed our toilet running. I phoned house keeping to inform them. A maintenance man arrived at my door to fix it. The running toilet was the least of my problems. The mirror over the desk FELL off of the wall. At 10pm! Scared me half to death! No pick up at airport after 11:30 PM. We arrived at 11:45PM. Took cab. Filthy carpet. Phone broken and would not be repaired until morning after we would have checked out. "Convenient and Satisfactory"
The location was great because it was only 2 blocks to my office Christmas party and the price was reasonable for what we got. It is a nicely located to be away from the craziness of the Gaslamp district but still close enough to walk there or to Seaport Village and all of the Harbor attractions. The room was relatively clean except there were some rather large stains on the carpet. The King bed was firm but very comfortable and had a nice down comforter and down pillows. The slider to the deck was very hard to open and close and was drafty but the curtains were thick enough to keep out the cold. "Great Cruise Location"
The hotel was almost directly across from the cruise departure terminal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was fine and had a partial bay view. Stayed for 2 nights on Thanksgiving. Front desk was quick to move us away from the elevator as soon as we asked. A little tricky finding our way back into the hotel from the parking deck. Didn't realize there was no lift from the second floor parking, had to haul our suitcases down the stairs. We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the glass elevator is breathtaking. There was a dog barking constantly for over an hour and we had to call to let someone know. We love dogs but we didn't want to hear it barking all night long. Good news is by the time we came back from dinner the dog was not barking anymore. I had to switch rooms because the shower/bath converter knob couldn't move making it impossible to take a shower and the wifi internet didn't cover the second tower.
