The room was clean, service was good, and it had a pool and hot tub. It is situated next to a large park. Te only disappointment was that it did not have free breakfast.

We were in town to visit family and since we have 4 small kids the suite set up sounded good and with the option of both an indoor or outdoor pool. First off we were put in the back (OLD) building where the room smelled funny and wall paper was peeling due to water damage. We immediately walked out and requested to be moved to the newer building.Once […] we were moved to the newer buidling we were put in a suite right up against the elevator. 4 kids and 2 adults not able to sleep because the elevator was going ALL NIGHT and when it stopped on our floor there was a loud bang and the WHOLE room would shake. Night two we asked to be moved again this time to a corner suite. Noise was NOT a factor and room was half way decent. We will probably try another hotel next time. There were some bonuses... 1) indoor pool is spacious with decent amount of seating areas 2) Breakfast is good $10 per person and free for kids under 12 so that was a nice add but there are other hotels much newer in town that have free breakfast. The hotel had construction going on and was difficult to get to, then after check in we walked around the indoor pool didn't match the photos, it is just off of the lobby with no windows and poorly lite, the water was luke warm, and a very strong chlorine smell throughout the area. The room was old and out dated, but the bed was comfortable. The second […] night around 3 am a loud noise came through the vent, continuously banging similar to a dryer with shoes in it running, when I called the front desk, he said he would send the security guard up to check on it. It was only him and the guard their and nothing else could be done. After talking with the security guard I called back, to the front desk, he said he could move us to another room (approx. 4 am by then). I refused to move completely out of one room to another in the middle of the night. Then just before 7 am, noise still continuously going I called the desk again asking when maintenance would be in she said he was in, I asked if he could came and check on the noise, 15 minutes later he still hadn't shown up but the noise had stopped. Throughout the 3 hour experience not one of the four employee apologized for the inconvenience, or for us being awakened in the middle of the night, not once. Horrible! When we checked out just a few hours later again nothing said, so disappointed in the stay not worth the money I spent, cheaper would have probably been better and closer to activities. Read more

Hotel had an extremely out of control crowd booked in it..kids running around every where We were put next door to 8 kids in a room. The hotel bar Saturday night was trashy no where to sit and enjoy a night cap or relax. This was a last minute booking & what a great find! It's right off the freeway so no hunting around in the dark. There's plenty of parking close to the wide front entrance. Front desk person was very efficient & courteous. Staff was great. I can't say enough about the restaurant staff. Took very good care of my family. Very attentive. King bed was huge. Room needed a little work but overall was in good condition. Love the fact that you can choose between two pools-1 indoor and 1 outdoor. Enjoyed our stay. Would come back again.

The staff went above and beyond for us when we stayed here. Our reservation was for the night before Easter Sunday, and we had breakfast coupons for the morning. However, on Easter Sunday the hotel does a special brunch event, and the coupons for their usual hotel cafe weren't valid. Even though their cafe was closed, the hotel allowed us early access […] to the Brunch Buffet and gave us to go containers to take food up to our rooms. They went out of their way to accommodate us even though they didn't need to. This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel while visiting family in Visalia, and both stays the staff surpassed expectations. The service they provide is more akin to what you might expect at a 4-5 star hotel. The building itself is fine, with an inside and outside pool, a gym, a cafe, a restaurant, etc. The only negative about the hotel was that the website lists "Pay Movies" as a hotel feature, and there is no Pay Movies. What a great place to stay!! We had a reunion at the park next door and several of us flew in and stayed here. The staff was GREAT!!! I would never stay any other place while in Visalia. Did I say the staff was great?? It was!!

The hotel is very well kept. There is some renovation going on in the entry area, which suggests a dated Hotel. My room however was excellent and very comfortable. I slept great and will stay there on my next visit to the area.

Very subpar hotel I would rate my room as 1 star, as I was put in a handicap room, this means no shelf space in the bathroom, great if I needed a wheelchair but I did not. I thought I was in a truck stop with all the trafic at night. At 12:00 am they offered a new room but I was not prepared to move at that time. My boyfriend was looking at the pictures online and compared it to the room and it was not like the pictures. Also, even though you get a suite or the "biggest" room, it really is not "big." You may feel a bit claustrophobic. When we had to take a shower, our drain was a bit clogged. It was like taking a shower and a "dirty" bath. We really did not […] like that. When we went to our room after checking in, we found that the bed was not made. After moving to another room, the t.v. remote was not working. When I went to take a shower the shower handle fell off in my hand. Also found a cockroach in the bathroom. Staff was friendly, but would not stay there again.

Went to Sequoia National Forest for the weekend and stayed at this Holiday Inn. Located right off freeway 5 minutes from downtown Visalia. Indoor pool a plus, towels were rough on skin -, but overall would recommend staying here. Takes about an hour drive to get to the national forest.

Overall this was a great hotel. Our cleaning lady Donna was amazing and made it a very comfortable stay. Always friendly, courteous and professional. The pool was nice too. We will be staying here again when we come down and visit again.
