The first room we walked into that they gave us had the heat on full blast but felt like it was 32 degrees in it. After calling the front desk and having to go back down to get a different room we were place in a second room 4 doors down, we walked in the room and it was brisk but not uncomfortable, until we turned the heater on. We arrived at midnight on Thursday, the printed confirmation we presented to the front desk apparently wasn't rec'd by the hotel so she wouldn't accept our reservation. She was of no help, we had to wait til she'd assisted another customer to ask her what we should do about our predicament... after midnight, with a sick kid who needed to get to bed... […] After an hour of waiting for the confirmation to arrive via fax, the desk receptionist was short with us, and displayed no social skills whatsoever as she proceeded to arrange for our room. The staff is quite curt. The pool was down for repairs and they failed to tell me at time of reservation. The toilet in my room would not flush; maintenance was fairly quick to look at it. "Pool closed - not happy"

We are so happy that they offered a reduced rate during the power outage because it is DREADFUL.Room had absolutely no hot water for 7 hours and then luke warm. Room was not cleaned very well. "Trapped in a Dirty Room without Hot Water"
We didn't plan on spending 5 (and now 6) days in this particular Best Western over Christmas, but an ice storm (no electricity) put us here. We arrived to a nice, clean room. We knew it was going to be a hectic holiday, with three little kids in a hotel room, but we were ready for it and ready to make the best of it. The first sign that this hotel wasn't […] the best choice came when we went down for breakfast the first day (my parents, who'd made the reservation since we didn't have power, had said they thought breakfast was included). My husband went down with one daughter and was served. When I went downstairs with my 5-year old we were told "No. You don't get breakfast. Expedia people don't pay enough for breakfast." We've had no hot water throughout the trip. Yesterday the water was turned off altogether, for the entire afternoon. If we needed a toilet we could go down and walk across the hotel to use the public one. But the worse part has had to be the lack of cleaning services. The room was cleaned after our first night here and then not again for five days. Yesterday I cleaned it for two hours, taking out bags of trash and moving everything off the floors and beds (and taking most of our belongings home) so that it would be easy for the maid to clean. We came home to a filthy room that "had been cleaned." "did not exceed expectations this time"
Because I booked one night through Expedia and added another night through the direct website, I was unable to have the same room for the two consecutive nights. I had spoken to the front desk upon check in the prior weekend and requested to have the same room although I was under two different confirmation numbers. I was told that would be the case. […] However, as I was to find out, that due to hotel policies, they had to put me in two different rooms, even though the room reserved for the second night (Saturday) was unoccupied on Friday. The Hotel Manager was not on site and could only be called for "emergencies" so the issue could not be resolved at check-in. Considering this was the busiest weekend of the college football season, I was surprised no manager was on site from Friday at 5pm until Saturday afternoon. Thank goodness the housekeeping staff helped transition us to the new room on Saturday morning before the game, which demonstrated that someone has some sense of customer service. We came up for a mini vacation with young ones. Not a child friendly hotel. Hot tub was a frog pond. The pool was cold and dirty. The arcade was... not.
