The experience was terrible. There were elevator problems and at times could wait 10-15 min. for an elevator. The service was awful. We had dinner at the Max & Ermas. We ordered apps. but had to ask for plates and silerware. We ordered ribs and had to ask for napkins then they brought us cocktail napkins. The overcharged us on the bill. Hotel was quite empty during the Thanksgiving holiday period so everything was pleasantly quiet. Overall experience was very good and the staff was extremely friendly. Only wrinkle was that we put two pints of Graeter's Ice Cream in the small freezer in our room. We (two of us) were presented with a coupon for the breakfast buffet for one person and a $3.00 off coupon to be used at the adjoining restaurant. The only negative […] is that there were kids (preteens, maybe a little older) galloping up and down the hallway. Unbeknownst to each other, we spoke to them and reported it to the front desk. Always stay at this hotel. Very clean and friendly front desk staff. Felt very safe. Security was very present. Only down fall this trip was housekeeping barging in after announcing themselves only one time. Good thing I was already dressed from taking a shower!

As other posts have said - the hotel is outdated. It was okay but for the price, I wouldn't go back. No queen beds - only doubles and the AC going off and on all night was really annoying. Kids really liked the indoor pool. Free breakfast was at Max & Erma's next door ($20 coupon so not really free).

However, when we were there recently, there was a young boy that got sick by the pool. The parents never told anyone, so we did. Stayed here to get a break from staying with family (in the middle of a 7 week trip). Staff was friendly enough. Had a lot of stuff with me, plus 3 kids, and there were no carts available on check-in. When I inquired I was told they were all being used by a conference that was being packed up. Seems like they should assure some to be used for guests. […] Breakfast was ok, worth the few $ extra. Don't get there late though, they were out of a lot and I was told its slim pickings due to time - 30 minutes before the schedules closing time. Cleaning staff must have gotten distracted during one of their attempts to clean our room. It was only have done (bathroom wasn't touched), extra bedding was just laying on the chair and they left their soda bottle behind. Although our stay was overall on average here are the things we found least positive: (1) there were 3 elevators but they were rather slow to respond. (2) the breakfast "buffet" was so-so. It was on par with the Holiday Inn Express breakfast that is offered over all.

Was not the three stars professed to be during my review search prior to booking. I would only at best rate it a two star hotel. It was old, ugly and off the beaten path. Beds were uncomfortable and linens/towels were showing some wear and staining. Air conditioner was loud enough to wake the dead. We stayed at this property while on a 2 day trip to Kings Island. The hotel was less than 10 minutes away from the park and in an area where there was plenty of dining. Since its connected to Max & Ermas we took advantage of the Holiday Inn "Kids Eat Free" promo and saved money on that as well. Nice hotel for the money

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is a older hotel so it needed a little updating but overall it was great. We found out (the last night there) that it had a small waterpark close by. Wish we would have found it out before since we have 2-4 year old boys that would have loved to have gone. Overall, I would recommend this hotel!

Hotels.com and Holiday have a lot of changes on the web site they need to make this is Barely a 3 star hotel. Lobby is crowded no room for additional people to wait to check in. The first floor had mildew smell. People at check in did not inform us about breakfast or the need for a coupon to get our included breakfast. Back door on first floor was broke […] and therefore a security hazard. Had guests calling up and down halls looking for rooom and security was no where to be found. Smoke alarm was diconnected and off the wall in room. Bath tub was rusty and had mildew in tiles. For the amount paid I could have stayed at a nicer hotel I knew was in better shape.
