We stopped there on our way back from Zion Ntl. park wanting to avoid Vegas. The place seems a bit dated or old. I think the lighting is what makes this... hotel feel like an old hospital. Service was good. Breakfast was ok, could improve. We stayed at a newer Ramada in saint george and felt that hotel was better in terms of look and feel. The lights at the room's entrance have sensors and it was a pain since they somehow got turned on in the morning and woke me up. Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2013

Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms seem to be in the process of a much needed renovation. Maid missed a few things, didn't clean coffee maker or leave coffee for next day. Morning breakfast selections lacking compared to other places I have stayed. Need a few more tables to accommodate number of people.

Good hotel, but if you have a problem sleeping (busy railroad you could see and hear from your room), stay at the Roadway inn just up the street. It is super clean, better breakfast, and less $$.

I stayed at the hotel the cat before my husband got stationed at Ft.Irwin. The hotel is in a nice location close to the freeway and shops. The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel is in great condition with an exception to the bath tub which the porcelain was cracked .

Nice hotel and the people running it go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable however nothing can be done about the double railroad track that runs back of the property . Trains run all day and night about every 10-20 minutes sometimes 2 at a time. I am a woman, who was stopping in Bartow for the night. Barstow. Is a bit of a sketchy town, but I felt totally safe in this hotel. You could tell they were under new management and they were putting in the effort. Free breakfast in AM is always appreciated by me, as when I make this trip I leave early!

I met my daughter and grandchildren for a quick weekend to visit and shop. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the rooms were and how good the breakfast was. I booked on line and had no idea where to stay. I would stay here again. Quiet and comfortable!

the room was on the back side and there were trains running ALL night. The hotel was not full so it would have been wise to put guests on the street side and it would have been much quieter. Also there was rust on the sink drain in the bathrrom.

This is the place to stay with family. rooms were very clean, staff were friendly professional and helpful. eating places were walking distance a small movie theater very inexpensive. We loved it. i would definitely stay there again. Oh yes the breakfast at ramads was great n a variety to pick from.

My wife and 11 yr old stepson both liked the room for different reasons. The breakfast area was spacious & offered lots of variety. Service was polite & swift. We would definitely stay here again. Close to the freeway, but access was a bit tricky. Busy train tracks nearby, but not too noticeable.

Continental breakfast less than satisfactory. Room was clean. Trains run all night behind the hotel. I am a heavy sleeper, so it did not bother me. But, if you are a light sleeper, be prepared to get woken up!

This hotel is quite rundown. It's also located right next to the train tracks, though the trains don't whistle. What bothered me the most were three people who decided to sit at the pool area having a rather lengthy talk starting at 9 pm when people want to go to bed. I asked the front desk to see if they could move somewhere else. The clerk said he […] had security that would ask them to move. That didn't happen and they talked until 11. I had to wait for a front desk person for 5 minutes to check in, but my room was ready at noon. The room was clean, quite and dark for good sleeping. The bed and shower were great! My only issue was the breakfast area was crowded, the pastries a bit stale, and the juice watered down. The hotel was FULL of construction guys eating breakfast on Monday […] and Tuesday morning. Best to wait till they go off to work to try to get anything to eat or a place to sit. But I would stay there again if the need arose. Read more

Barstow was an overnight stay for us on the way to our vacation destination. We found the hotel very comfortable and in every way it exceeded our expectations. There are train tracks that run behind the hotel, however, we weren't bothered by the noise. The breakfast bar is nice - with the usual items and the addition of make your own waffles.

The only thing i didnt like about this place was the carpet. However, customer service was top notch, my entire room was ultra clean... I never once heard the train and i was on the floor level. My bathroom was big, super clen with good clean towels.. A nice sized flat screen, table and nice small chair to watch tv in. Id stay again, oh also you get […] a free pass to anytime fitness gym. The value was good. The place itself was a bit run down. The ceiling in our bathroom had big, dark spots (the size of large pancakes, maybe water and mildew stains). The wall paper was peeling in different locations and the bathroom sink drained very slowly. We checked in after midnight and left super early the next morning. It wasn't worth calling […] to report our concerns because we were there so briefly. The breakfast was adequate and the gal working the breakfast was very friendly and thorough with cleaning up after large groups of kids. The front desk gal was very nice and prompt. If you're not too fussy it's ok to stay. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it if you are. One more thing, it was difficult finding the place off of Main street and we got lost coming in. Read more

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable but it badly needed upgrading and/or repairs. The edge of the carpet at the doorway to the bathroom was frayed, worn and shredded. Breakfast in the morning was pretty standard with other places but there aren't a lot of restaurants in the area. We had a choice between Sizzler and Coco's because the only […] other restaurant (Italian) was closed the day we were there. There is also a railroad track that runs right behind the hotel which is pretty load. The biggest plus this place has is the people working there. Good service. Room perfect for overnight stay. Pool and hot tub welcome additions to usual facilities. Found it difficult to find as sign hidden, but right by Sizzler and China Buffet.

Grounds and pool very nice. Carpets in rooms and hallway could use some updating. Otherwise rooms were nice. Very complete breakfast. Night desk clerk very nice and helpful; daytime not so much.

Nice large room. Everything from room to the grounds were clean and well taken care of. Nice breakfast in the morning., basic but fresh. Easy off and on I-15 on way to Las Vegas.------ Trains passing behind hotel were a little noisy but didn't bother us much.
