The hotel was close to shopping but the best thing about this hotel was the maintenance staff. So helpful and were great tour guides. You could really tell George loves this town. We had a courtyard view room on the 2nd floor - pleasant outlook, big room, big bed, loads of closet/drawer space. Small bathroom but well appointed, good shower pressure. Close enough to everything but without the noise. We stayed during Oktoberfest which happened right next door behind the giant Marilyn Monroe statue. The room itself resembles a small studio apartment, with most rooms are overlooking the pool through a large window. It was very clean, the bathroom was nice and even provided me with a complimentary make-up […] remover cloth. The king-size bed was very stiff but the pillows are very plush so I only had a little trouble sleeping. They provide a empty minifridge and toaster oven so feel free to bring your own breakfast or bring home leftovers from one of the many restaurants. Pros: Property layout, pool area and location are ideal. Cons: maintenance and upkeep crew ruined ambiance - drove me and nearly all guests to flee not just pool, but entire property. All guest received letter that fire dept required some work be done on spa, but that this work would take two days and conclude at 3 pm both days and was limited to spa […] area. In fact it was a series of noisy tasks that were planned, but not disclosed to unwitting guests. Jackhammers on the lobby and spa, trimming hedges, mowing lawn, prepping to reseed lawn, construction site at pool. Management's response? You could leave without cancellation fee. Final con is a hidden fee that adds up. It's called a spa fee and its $12 per day if you want the pool, in-room, coffee maker, parking, towels in pool area, and newspaper. In other words, the published rates do not include some basics and booking guests need to add $12 per day to listed rate to budget the actual cost of stay. Also, 2 of 3 the ice machines didn't work and the soda and water vending machines at this restaurant-free property are not filled. SAD waste of what could be a lovely place to relax and unwind! The hotel is in a great location right off the strip near the giant Marilyn Monroe statue but it is a little run down on the inside. We were greeted by a pretty large black cricket in our room when we arrived, which freaked my girlfriends out. Fortunately I'm from the desert so I killed it and calmed them down. The room smelled a bit like mildew and […] I noticed the lamp was cracked and glued back together. I only mention it because I was weirded out by the separate forms I was required to sign which stated I would be charged for any damage to the room and that there is absolutely no loud music, partying, head phones required at the pool, and only 4 guests per room. Oh... and that any behavior that is offensive to other guests would not be tolerated. I'm not sure what kind of problems they've had in the past but I just thought that was strange. I was almost offended that they don't think guests have enough sense to know that but obviously they found it necessary. This hotel is located in a very good spot, in downtown area and walking distant to the casino and all the great eating places. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is 9 feet deep and all music must be listened through head phones. For the price this is a great hotel.

We booked (and paid for) 2 nights. Didn't stay for the second night. Even with reservations almost 2 weeks in advance for a 2-night stay that included Sunday, we were given the worst room in the hotel, farthest from the pool, in a corner next to the stairwell with a window and no balcony. There was no upgrade offered or available. Nor did the front […] desk staff seem to care about accommodating us. The website touts "access to a complete health and wellness center". Turns out the hotel has a total of 2 guest passes for use of all hotel guests, limited to one hour use so that the passes can be shared! The lights in the bathroom are motion-detector timed to turn off after 10 minutes. I found myself in the bath in the dark and had to waive my hands to get the lights back on. Hotel wasn't fancy luxury-wise but met basic comfort. It is small with most basic and rudimentary services - like I had to walk all the way around to fetch a bag of ice from the dispenser. It is cost -effective but for a few bucks more, you may be able to get a better hotel.

We did not like that at 3 AM some drunk people were at the pool area making a riot, screaming and diving into the water, we were told pool was off limits after 10pm we even signed a document when checking in, agreeing to the pool rules. Security personnel was no were to be found. I had to get up and call front desk to let them know what was going on […] but the screaming and loud noises continued for other 15 min before the people stopped. After that we coulnd't sleep anymore. Everytime people walked to their rooms in the middle of the night, you could hear them talking and walking to their rooms, it disturbed our sleep. Another thing we did not like was that there is no snack bar or store inside the hotel. There are no stores nearby to buy anything to drink or eat. We had to drive our car to get to a supermarket to buy drinks and snacks to take to the pool area. It would be great if the hotel had a store inside their premisses with the basics. The location is great if you want to be in the downtown area but again be sure to take your cooler with your own drinks and snacks. The nearest supermarket or a pharmacy is about 4 blocks away and it gets too hot to walk that far in the middle of the day.
