The room was nice, but the inn looked like it was closed. Very little exterior lighting and the desk clerk was less than welcoming. Unusual for a Red Roof Inn.

The place was near a freeway, not really close to anything, and when I got to my room, the wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom wall. But I was pleasantly surprised. It was just about the quietest room I've ever slept in, and the breakfast, although spare, was very good. The coffee was good, too, better than the stuff in the room.

Still working on the remodeling so breakfast was limited (not as shown on web pages). But the room was clean and we were given directions to near by restaurants for dinner. Overall will stay here again, hopefully they will be through remodeling.

Hotel under construction, noisy. Ltd parking, pool closed. No restaurants within walking distance, isolated. No fridge or microwave. One set of washer & dryer, no change machines, Coke machine expensive. Staff very friendly & attentive, just hotel lacked appeal. Felt safe as Military Personnel stayed there for maneuvers. 2**

First, the hotel was under construction, which I did not know when I booked it. We were on the 2nd floor, and the work was being done outside our window. Speaking of windows, the "heavy blinds" don't cover the windows, only the shears, so the bright light from outside was shining in the window, right in my face all night. Many things were not plugged […] in, like lamps and the microwave. (I did not check the fridge) This was very inconvenient since we got in after dark. When I went to plug in the microwave, the cord was covered in something tacky/sticky. It was really gross and made me not want to touch anything else. I gave up on using the microwave. The bed was soft and there were plenty of pillows, though the sheets seemed worn. The whole room seemed kind of "worn". Breakfast was 2 varieties of cereal, a gallon of 2% milk in a bucket of ice, 1 choice of coffee (no hot water only option), and a few pastries. They did have a sign saying apologizing for the breakfast area. I will not stay here again. Read more

Hotel is conviently in West Knoxville. Room was just basic without any special amenities. The coffee maker in my room did not work. The hotel lobby is being constructed with part of the hotel being rebuilt and/or torn down. If you are looking for something that is just a hotel room and don't care about the decor or anything else, this will be fine.

Very nice rooms with comfortable beds. Desk clerk was extremely helpful. The hotel is in the process of renovating but in a seperated building so it won't affect your stay.

My family stayed at this hotel while driving from MI to FL. While the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, it was still the pefect place for us to lay our heads before hitting the road again. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and the price was right. The continental breakfast offerings were a little slim but it was enough to tide us over […] for a few hours. This hotel was good value. It is under construction, so might look a little "scary" to someone driving up to it cold, but I had seen the reviews and was not deterred. Jeff was at the front desk the night we checked in. He was pleasant and made sure we were comfortable. The room was clean. I truly wish I could post a picture of this dump online. When I tell you it looks like a burned out bomb shelter in a war zone, I am not exaggerating. Rumble everyehere, police tape, old concrete colums, collapsed roofs. I honestly thought it wasn't open at first. The morning I left, as I was making "breakfast" (which consisted of me asking the front […] desk for a tea bag AND hot water since the only breakfast items were little cereal boxes and coffee), me and 3 maids began to hear loud shattering glass and the entire room began to shake. We all made for the door and one maids joked that it sounded "like we were in a subway." Yeah. Seriously. Apparently they're remodeling, which is fine, but there has to be a warning before pre-buying that you're walking into an active construction (war) zone and paying full price anyway. A single piece of paper hung in the door saying "remodeling" doesnt cut it. This website rarely steers me wrong, but the condition of this place, even for a cheap motel, is laughable. The hotel is under renovations.Odd thing is it has been under renovations for 1.5 years now. My daughter stayed there 14 months ago and she said it was all tore apart then too. We arrived at 4pm to check in,we went to the front desk which was abandoned. There was no bell to ring so we stood there. We stood there for over 20 minutes and no one showed. […] There was a women sitting at a table to the side of the desk and although she stared at us several times she never spoke. There was an awful odor of diesel fuel everywhere and there were big fans running and all the doors were open making it freezing in the lobby. We were getting ready to leave when this same quiet women made hand gestures to someone but we did not see anyone. Finally Ray peaked out from the back and said sorry for the delay. We got our room which was clean. It did not have a refrigerator or microwave like advertised. The toilet stuck all the time same as a previous reviewer stated. The worst part of the stay was that the bed was so bad.It was like a trampoline it bounced so bad. It was the worst mattress I ever laid on. Needless to say I was unable to sleep at all. The breakfast was nothing but cold cereal and stale mini muffins.To be fair they told me when I checked in the breakfast was limited due to the construction. Would I stay here again.....no..... I pay for a hotel to have a place to sleep and sleep was impossible due to the terrible bed. If you need to sleep don't stay here, at least in the room we had. Read more

The hotel is undergoing a badly needed renovation. My room was extremely dated, although it did have a 42 inch TV. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the whole hotel had a stong odor of roses - perhaps used as a rug deodorizer. After a long 950 mile trip, I definitely needed a nice quiet and comfortable room to sleep in before continuing onward. I arrived at 2:00 am and was quickly checked into my room. The room was quiet and very comfoortable. Overall cleanliness was very good. Slept well and was out the door by 11:00 checkout time.

I saw mixed reviews but was just passing through town and the most recent review was fine so I took a chance. First off, it's not in a good part of town. When I got off the highway a guy was getting arrested at the gas station, there was a car in the parking lot of the hotel that was obviously a drug dealer and the woman in front of me in line appeared […] to be paying in change. I should have left but I was exhausted from driving all day. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable & the carpets were filthy. During the night there were people coming & going who were loud & at some point someone was banging on my door for no apparent reason. The "Continental Breakfast" was 2 types of cereal & muffins.. Not even fruit available. The only good thig was the friendly clerk at the front desk. He was very nice. But... Glad I had personal protection & glad to not ever return to that place. Read more

This reservation was for my daughter for New Years Eve. She encountered 2 problems. When trying to reach the desk by phone, she tried multiple times without getting an answer. Also, the continental breakfast was supposed to end at 10 a.m. She arrived at 9:45, and there was only cold cereal available.
