"Great location on King St. for walking everywhere"
This is the third time I've stayed at the Hyatt Regency and I have been pleased with the service/quality of the hotel every time. The staff is always very helpful with anything you need, and the rooms are very comfortable. I love that I am able to walk to many bars and restaurants from the hotel and not worry about a cab!Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice hotel. Clean, good location, with helpful friendly staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good service a tad dated"
Good service, noisey halls and doors. Bathrooms and hallways dated and dirty. Overall a good place great location. Not what I'd consider a 4 star.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Couldn't be happier!"
Stayed their for NYE 13 and what looked to be a one hour-plus line for checkin turned out to be no more than 15 minutes. Excellent service and an amazing room. Nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, hands down. Made my trip to Toronto one to remember.Genuine Expedia guest review
GREATGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We called ahead to the hotel two times to confirm 2 doubles or 2 queens as we were travelling with our 2 children. We also requested a cot just in case. Upon arrival there was only a room with one king bed available. One of my children slept on the floor. We requested a couple of duvets and pillows and were given a thin blanket. The room was very cold […] almost like the AC was on instead of the heat. There was one bath towel and one hand towel to share amongst 4 people. We woke up feeling unrested and unwell. We were planning on staying 3 nights but left after the first. The front desk and management refused to give us a refund for the unused nights. Very disappointing. "Icestorm 2013 refugees"
We needed a place quickly - along with another 100,000 people, managed to find 2 rooms on Christmas Eve. Hotel was clearly not expecting to be full, but all concerned seemed to be working to meet the unexpected demand. Dinnner was surprisingly good (in the bar), breakfasts were ok. Room was comfortable, though the bathroom was a bit cramped in one room. […] Loud neighbors had the tv on till 3 AM, should have called the desk. (not enough sound insulation). Dog friendly hotel. Again, the staff was all working hard to be helpful, with a lot of people that had not expected to be out of their homes for the holiday. Kudos for their service. "Great hotel close to downtown"
Great location and close to several restaurants and theaters. Room was clean and bathroom pretty modern. The only downside was a party that took place on a Friday night from 7-1am. Not sure if the hotel should allow private "parties" in rooms. Next time will ask to change rooms.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff, room, fitness center and hotel was great. Only problem was that parking elevator was out of service for at least two days when we left. Elevator was also not clean as others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"They charge for everything."
The location is great, I just didn't like how they charge additional for a fridge and internet access. Because of the change in season, we did not get to see the rooftop pool. There was nothing to note about the view, besides being able to see the CN tower's elevators going up and down at night. There wasn't much space to move around the room, because […] the double beds, occupied most of it. We spent most of our time outside, so it wasn't much of an issue. I am just left wondering if I paid for the name or location and not what the room has to offer. The front lobby is beautiful, but again, how much time do you really spend there? At check out, there was a mix-up with the two rooms I reserved. Long story short, they were charging for another guest in the room I was staying when there was only three there instead of four. It was frustrating but thankfully I was able to hold unto my patience and the receptionist was able to understand and correct the mistake. I would encourage confirming details so everyone is on the same page and you get what you are expecting. and paying for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to CN Tower"
We wanted to stay close to the CN Tower, so that is why we stayed here. Overall a pleasant stay. The only issue was that the concierge at the hotel arranged for us to be driven back to the airport via a towncar and told us that the bill for the trip would be charged to our room, which it was. But the concierge did not tell that to the driver, who insisted […] that we must pay him directly before he would take our bags out of the trunk at the airport, even though we said we had already paid back at the hotel. Needless to say I called the hotel shortly after that and asked that the charge be refunded, which they did. Not sure what happened, but not doing that again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel location was perfect for our recent stay in Toronto. Easy walk to the subway station that allowed us to get around the city. "Nothing is free in Toronto"
The stay at Hyatt was great. Pictures are true to what one finds upon arrival. The only reason why I gave it an overall rating of '3' is because you had to pay for the Internet 14.95/day, pay for parking, no breakfast in the morning, and plus when I parked one block away from the hotel after midnight one night, my car was towed. The hotel staff couldn't […] even help me in finding a correct number to call to locate my car since there were no signs on the streets indicating the number of the towing place. Turned out "there is no overnight parking on the streets of Toronto just like in any other big city". Excuse me, what?! I come from a big city, and if you are parked legally, you can stay as long as you want. But that's another issue. Otherwise, the hotel stay was nice with comfortable beds, and a good size room. "Great hotel, with a few issues"
Lots of things about this hotel are great: Great sense of style, fabulous location for the the film festival. and very helpful staff. My only reservations were that there were two ways in which the rooms sacrifice functionality for style. 1. There are no towel racks, and pretty much nowhere to hang a bath towel, washcloth, and hand towel. In our room, […] there were 2 of us and one tiny hook. 2. The headboard is an elaborate curved case. If, like me, you like to read in bed, there is a 6 to 12 inch gap between the mattress and the headboard, depending on where along the curve you are. There are enough pillows to fill this gap for one person, but not two. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was close to the Rogers stadium and easy to get to. I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, the woodwork and surfaces around had smudges and spill marks. The bed was too soft and lumpy for my comfort.Genuine Expedia guest review

Overall a good stay. Excellent location, close to the Rogers Ctr, car rental, shopping and lots of restaurants! Starbucks in the hotel and Tim Hortons down the street. The carpet in our room was not the cleanest and needed to be changed out. Breakfast was cold and ended up being free as a result. Staff was friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Bad Experience for a high up hotel."
Upon arriving to the hotel, I was informed that out of the 4 guests in our room, only 2 had breakfast even after I paid for breakfast. They kept telling me I booked a bed and breakfast package which only included 2 guests. I didn't book any package but I did pay additional for breakfast and for the extra guests. My confirmation said 4 guests bed and […] breakfast. The manager came to talk to me and was so rude. I definitely would not recommend this hotel. I had a really bad experience for how much money we paid to stay here. Also they charged my credit card for our stay even though I already paid through hotels.com. That is a mess and a hassle because I now have to file a claim with my credit card. Location was good, no refrigerators in the rooms but I was very very dissatisfied with the customer service for the price of the rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for"
We reserved a room ten days in advance and we arrived 3 hrs after checkin. We were told our room wasnt ready yet and all other rooms were booked. I started to get a bit upset and they mysteriously came up with a room. We got in the room and the toilet was running constantly and beds looked very desheveled. I got the toilet to stop running but when i […] awoke the next morning to find the toilet overflowed and flooded the bathroom floor and soaked the carpet outside the bathroom. I told the front desk and they sent housekeeping up 2 hrs later and they just wiped up the floor and left the carpet wet. "Toronto was love!"
My best friend and I booked the Hyatt for Ovo Fest during caribana weekend. We got to the hotel by 9am due to an early flight and were looking to check in early but since it is one of the city's busiest weekends, there were no rooms available and we were told we would need to wait til 4pm to check in. The staff was very accommodating, offering to hold […] our luggage while we explore the city for the day. We couldnt have been in a more perfect location to explore. When we came back around 4, the lobby was packed and we realized they were very behind on check ins. We left and came back 2 hours later and our room still wasn't ready. After expressing our disappointment initially, we were offered a free room upgrade which included a balcony suite with a king size bed and a panoramic view of the city. We were also given a complimentary breakfast for the following morning. Our room was INCREDIBLE with a large balcony, views of the CN tower and entire city, and also views of the rooftop floor a couple floors below. We were in room 1952 on floor 19 and it was truly the best room in the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and expressed their apology repeatedly for the wait. All in all, we lucked out with our beautiful room and it was well worth the wait. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the hotel as a whole was gorgeous. I would stay at any Hyatt over and over again if they are as accommodating and beautiful as the Hyatt Regency Toronto! Highly recommend room 1952 Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location but poorly maintained and operated"
I had numerous complaints during my stay. Starting with Internet service being unavailable for over 24 hours, clogged sink in the kitchen area, sliding bathroom door that would constantly stick, water leaking through the shower onto the bathroom floor and general responsiveness in service when speaking to the front desk. In addition to the issues mentioned […] I had to call and request a refridgerator for a suite. The one delivered was replaced a day later and the original fridge was left in the middle of the suite for the entire stay. I was also told that to get a microwave I would have to pay a fee. This is the first i have ever heard of having to pay for such ammenities which are usually standard in a regular hotel room much less a suite. The only bright spot of this hotel was its location. I was thoroughly disappointed with the service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent location and fantastic hotel"
I am very happy to get Hyatt Regency Hotel through Expedia for $104/night for 3 days. When I booked this hotel, I entered 4 persons but we went there 5 persons. One of our family member wanted to go there at the last moment for only 1 day. Besides, we went there around 1 pm when check-in time was 4 pm. I personally arranged our Canada trip. So, I was […] really afraid for these situations. But to my surprise, the hotel staff very nicely told me that we all can stay and our room was ready. Besides the I became very very happy because without requesting them or saying them anything, my problems were solved. The hotel location is superb. The hotel is very nice and fantastic. The view from the room window is mind-blowing. From the corridor window besides the elevator, the CN Tower at night looks absolutely stunning. We celebrate our baby's birthday in the hotel room. Wonderful experience. There is an attached starbucks with the hotel to enjoy coffee. Besides, there is a shopper's drug mart to buy everyday products. Hotel pool and tea in the room is free. Every morning, one of the friendly hotel staff showed me how to get to the point of attractions by public transportation using the map. It helped me a lot. Check-out was also very easy. I just gave back the hotel key and that's it. They did not charge me any resort fee like other hotels. After that, in the hotel lobby we waited like 1 hour with our luggage for our car to arrive to pick up us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel was located in the heart of an exciting big city area. The room, however, was so small that we had to up grade to a suite in order to be comfortable. Staff was extraordinarily helpful. I did not like the idea of having to pay extra for internet - (who still does that???). This charge was waved as part of the upgraded arrangement. "3.9 out of 5"
Many of these hotel reviews resemble each other, swinging from radically positive to radically negative, with no space in between (usually under the influence of emotion). I'm going to be a bit different, and say this hotel was just moderately good, not spectacularly good. The lobby was clean and interesting, but the giant Johnny Depp picture was awkward […] and overdone. The room was good, but Hyatt has this distressing habit of hiding the towels from you. Halfway into my stay, I noticed there were towels underneath the sink, a fact which, if I'd discovered earlier, would have saved me from over-using and abusing the slim little towel they had left initially in the bathroom. Also, my panoramic window, presenting a picture of Toronto in it all its glory, also faced an outdoor patio area that was, I concede, unused, but I'd hate to wake up in the morning, turn over, and see a conclave of corporate raiders chatting in the morning light, watching me. What was good? The rate, on Expedia, was great (prepaid); the location of the hotel was fantastic; the staff and cleaning lady were prompt, professional and helpful; and there were absolutely no "hiccups" - my stay went smoothly. I would have preferred a bigger shower, an abundance of towels, and a toilet that didn't sound like it was flushing my fluids all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. All in all, I rate this place 3.9 out of 5, which is just short of 4. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but expensive"
Hotel is nice, well located, great view, service is very good. But price is too high and everything is added up and expensive (gift shop, internet, water, breakfast...). The internet did not even work as well as in low range hotels which is a shame.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great hotel, kind staff and a wonderful location. The only downside was the noise level. Walls and doors are thinner that expected and I could hear other guests coming and going late at night.Genuine Expedia guest review
