      I highly recommend this hotel! The staff is outstanding, from the front desk to Valent Parking. They addressed me by my name every time and did many little things that were above and beyond normal service. It's also located for easy walking to River Street and City MarketI was on the 5th floor and had a good rooftop view of the city. The comfort bedding was good, and I slept well there. And for the price, it was nice to have a restaurant, bar, and room service. I would definely stay here againL

    We just returned from staying three nights at The Beach House. It was wonderful and truly even more than we expected. The location was perfect for walking... to shops and restaurants, the beach access was right there, the grounds were well-kept, our room was very clean, the decorating was pleasant and comfortable.     PROS: awesome remodel of the grounds, pool areas, tiki hut, poolside snack bar, lobby and restaurant/bar. Rooms were also remodeled, so clean and nice, nothing fancy though. Landscaping with lots of palm trees is especially nice - very tropical! Tiki bar is probably one of the best places to hang on the island - pro volleyball to watch on the beach, […] great bartenders, good music (both recorded and live!), all around adult fun! Pool is clean, big and unique! Beach is huge and clean. Hotel location is ideal - access to bike trails and easy walk to lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, and outdoor activities. Hotel does a great job of limiting parking to hotel guests only. We've been to lots of 5-star resorts and none have been better than the good folks at The Beach House! They're friendly, genuinely happy to help and always smiling, from the front desk, to management, to maids and maintenance folks! CONS: Towels at poolside were clean and plentiful, but definitely needed to be replaced. Wait service for drinks at poolside would be nice as well as offset VERY busy tiki bar! Both elevators were extremely slow and HOT! Only 16 rooms facing the ocean. Balconies too small to even put a chair out. OVERALL: We will return as well as recommend The Beach House to anyone that appreciates a smaller property (~205 rooms) versus those crowded mega-resorts. Read more

    The room was definitely not worth $250 per night. The only thing you are paying for from what I can gather is location. The view of the parking lot made you feel like you could be in Detroit. The rooms themselves were small and not very clean.

    I reserved a kingsize bed but got two twins. The reason they gave was that the people in our reserved room decided to stay another night. I reserved our room months ago. The knob fell off the shower, the bedding and rugs were worn. The whole place was dated and tired. The housekeeping staff and security yelled up and down the hallways to each other […] until 10 at night and by 8am.     I was there 10 years ago and the service is just as good as I remember it. It has been kept updated and very clean. The hotel pool is literally 30 steps to the rolling tide of the ocean. Truly a great hotel. Hilton head is a beautiful and very safe vacation place for you and your family.

    This the second year that we have stayed at the Beach House and will return next year for gymnastics competition. Loved it. Out of the hussle and bussle of the main drag, yet still convenient to everything else. Only tip I have is not to drive on the Toll Road. Nice and non-busy, but collectors are rude.
