Overall not bad but not really kid friendly, This hotel rests on a very busy section of the hwy that leads to folly beach. I would also have expected a small refridgerator. Also when booking this room, were were told that the room is bigger than a standard hotel room and in fact is was smaller. the TV was modern which was a plus. An odd location but decent for the price. The TV did not work very well and one of the elevators was broke when we arrived. It was a decent hotel for the price. You won't find a nicer or cheaper hotel or combination of the both closer to the center of Charleston.

i wont fault the hotel for the traffic nightmare . but it is in a middle of a major highway between north and south lanes, to exit 3 roads merge with in 50 yards of the exit and its a blind bend, so floor it and pray.the way back is a maze of roads so be patiant . as for the room, the floor was filthy, like no one vacuumed in weeks. the rate was over […] priced for the room, no refrigarator in room , you can get one for a fee unless it is for medical reasons. vending area is on different floors and no guid to find them. the staff was great and pleasnt when dealing with guests . i watch a lounge employee deal with a drunk obnociouse couple that made me mad , she kept a smile and pleasent personality even after she had food spilled on her from the lady . We had our two young children barefoot and they were running back and forth on the carpet. I just happened to look at their previously clean feet and discovered they were black! Nasty! We felt the carpets were probably dirty. I went down with one child and complained to the front desk. The front desk guy was wonderful. He had someone come while we were […] at dinner and steam clean the carpets. After that no problem with the carpets though it made us feel a little uncomfortable about what we didn't see. Amanda was a force to be reckoned with... Multi-tasking and getting it right! Plus, she was very personable and professional. I would have liked a complimentary breakfast that is available in so many hotels now, but did take advantage of the coffee.

I loved the hotel and staff! Getting in and out of the parking lot seemed confusing at first and gps directions take you all around to get in and out- once we figure that out The Location was Amazing!! The roof top poolwas just perfect

I think we were supposed to receive 1 ticket for a carriage ride by booking through expedia and we did not receive it. The hotel did not offer it to us. Nice hotel though~we enjoyed it! I thought it was nice that they offered shuttle service q 2h into the city, although we didn't need to use it.

Overall experience was excellent. Great view from the hotel. Location is right in the middle of a busy highway but the shuttle service made up for it. The restaurant on the top floor had excellent food as well as service. Try the sweet tea! Staff was very helpful and informative. An enjoyable stay in a unique hotel.

Very tired facility, but generally clean. Shower rod was obviously installed as an updated look, but the tile was cracked and rod was leaning..couldn't keep the curtain closed! Bed not the greatest either.

Maid service always tried to get out of cleaning the rooms. I got the impression that they were stretched too thin in that department. Everything else was on par. Great value for the location!

While walking from the hotel to the majority of Charleston sites would not be tops on my list, the location was close and certainly very drivable to the TI center where you can park your car to take advantage of the free city services. The hotel was clean and easy to get to and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had asked for a non smoking room. Was given a smoking room which of course smelled and got into our clothes. They gave us a comp breakfast because of this. Said they would have maintenance send up an ionizer to eliminate smoke it either did not work or they did not do it...never saw it.

Great Front Desk Personnel. The night (Johnny) and morning (Geri?) front desk managers and were wonderful. We arrived for our stay very late as we were driving from Boston and Augusta respectively. They provided a little well needed flexibility with check out times and made us feel welcome.

The staff was very friendly & helpful. The restaurant was nice & the food was good. The beds had a variety of pillows soft, medium, & hard. There was not much room for clothing storage but the room was comfortable. We would stay here again & recommend the hotel to others.

Loved the hotel and the free shuttle to downtown. Only thing I didn't like was not having a separate light in the toilet area.The room was amazing quiet since it was right across from the elevator.

The rooms are very small and worn. We were only staying one night so we didn't need to unpack. There is no closet or any space at all. The carpet was very dirty, the bedspread was stained. Not greeted warmly...rude. Had to call for towels the second day..none in the room. Noisy room and for a hotel that says all rooms have a view, we had NONE. Water in bathroom hard to adjust without scalding yourself. Went to dinner one evening on the top floor and was told we had to wait 20 minutes...only half of the restaurant was filled.
