We checked in very late, and after some convincing, they agreed to push our check-out time to 2pm. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.

I was extremely disappointed in my stay at this Double Tree Hotel. I was put on the ground floor which is normally fine, but it smelled kind of funny, almost musty. The stations available on the television was pitiful. They had a very limited selection of stations. I booked this hotel because they advertised about the shuttle to and from the casino, […] but I called to get the shuttle back from the casino Saturday night and they said it wasn't available so I had to get the casino shuttle to take me back to the hotel. This was just overall a really unpleasant experience. I definately would never book this hotel again, and I would never recommend this Double Tree to anyone. The positive is that my bathroom door wouldn't close and I told the manager on duty, and he had someone to my room right away to get it fixed. Read more

Older hotel but staff makes up for that with incredible service. Mistake placed us in a smoking room on smoking floor with a full hotel; however, manager went above and beyond to compensate for mistake. Nice fitness room with free weights and extra perks like an ice cream freezer stocked with goodies free for the taking.

The room was very nice, The location was perfect for what we needed. The staff was extremely wonderful, the bed was extremely comfortable. The only problems we had were the ice canister still had the old plastic bag with water in it and the air conditioner didn't cool the room off very well. I would stay again.

Was in the area visiting my cousin in Houston and some colleges for my teenagers. Stayed at this hotel. Was there when it was a Holiday Inn about 5 yrs ago as well. Staff were very nice, helpful and pleasant. Very quiet hotel room. Great location. Roomy room. Have stayed there before and would stay there again.

The hotel was conviently located to the casino and Tanger outlets. We enjoyed parking the car and riding the hotel bus to our destinations. The staff was freindly and helpful. Very nice room in a great location for casino or Tangers Outlet. We made use of the free shutttle to the Meadows Casino. Their shuttle runs to Midnite, but the Casino will bring you back at any time (3:40 AM in our case) Their was no waiting at either end. The brfeakfast was a good buffet until noon. Everything was fine until we got back to our room at 11:30 p,m, and found ants all over the night stand and all over the bathroom floor. The management sent someone up to spray the room but it creeped me out the rest of the night sleeping and we found more ants still in the bathroom the next morning. Not a very nice experience at all!

We didn't realize that rooms were at a premium even in Washington, PA, with the NRA National Convention in Pittsburgh. After several attempts on our own, I called Expedia to see if there was any room to be had that night nearby. Expedia booked a room at the Doubletree (formerly Holiday Inn) at the MeadowLands Racetrack. When we arrived, the women at […] the front desk panicked. There were really no rooms, especially not for non-smokers. Apparently, the company overbooks the hotel happens frequently. The hostesses did some scrambling and did come up with a room for us. They said that this was a room that was used for both smoking and non. They said that the smoke odor shouldn't be too bad. If it was, we were to call the front desk and they would send someone to spray the room. It was bad enough to call for assistance. They sent people with a substance like "Fabreeze" that they sprayed on the carpet and drapes. It made it liveable and we were able to spend the night in comfort. Kudoos to the front desk women and the men with the spray to kill the smoke odors. They and the people at Expedia took a situation of "no rooms at the inns" and turned it into a successful night's stay in comfortable beds with a clean room. If you want breakfast at the hotel, it is available at a price in their restaurants. There are fast foods nearby & several family style places, like Bob Evans, Eat & Park, Cracker Barrel & Denny's, a short drive away, especially if you are headed back into Washington. Read more

Granted...it was nice to have a Hotel so close to the Casino....as we are both smokers...we asked for a smoking room only and it was in the basement which smelled like mildew and was very cold in the hallways. The room was warm but everything smelled musty. There is not a continental breakfast, but there is a restaurant which the buffett is open for […] breakfast...but it is a little pricey. If you just want a cup of coffee in the morning..there is a single cup coffee maker in the room..but if you want more..you have to get out by the elevators on the ground floor pretty early because they don't keep the carafes full. There was not a refrigerator in the room either. No safes either. Not likely to stay here again unless there are some major improvements!!! The front desk staff was very friendly, the room was spotless, quiet, and was exactly the yype of room that I requested (smoking, 2 double beds, fridge, microwave). We have been staying at the former Holiday for the last 25 years. We travel to North carolina for at least 35 years every April. We noticed a change not only with the name but with the service and cleanliness of the rooms. The only suggestion would be an improvement on the menu in the dinning room and the quality of the foods.
