Classic "listed" property in the west end with a cozy "homely" atmosphere; well-prepared food and generous breakfast offering; staff responsive and accommodating when called upon to help with travel glitches. Great place for people watching, too, as it is a popular venue.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, but very small TV and no frills. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wi-fi only in the dining room. One day there was no maid service. Building is old and worn and a bit shabby, but location is very good.

The staff was helpful, kind, caring and considerate. The facilities were clean, modern, and well kept. Located next door to a great restaurant. Easy access from the Motorway and close to great shopping. I have been staying at this hotel for over 4 years on business visits to to the area and will continue to select this hotel.

Stay was good, room was a bit small, but that was probably due to price of room (around 140 usd) ,food was expensive and there were no coffee shops/bars... that were close by. You could buy a really good Scottsih breakfast for 5 GBP about .75 miles away, but brealfast buffet in the restaurant was about 17 GBP ( > 25 USD). Hotel was nice, and quiet, staff was excellent, but it was about 1 mile from city center. Overall a good experience. Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 10, 2012

The hotel was fine, just like every other Marriott anywhere in the world. The service was below the typical Marriott standard, we pulled up the the front of the Hotel with 2 van, 9 people staying in 5 rooms for 2 nights each and was told we could not unload the bags or the passengers, when I asked where we could go to unload I was told "over there" […] but there was not a place for anyone to park "over there" so I ended up in the loading dock. We were especially pleased with the friendliness and over all helpfulnes of the staff. At the restaurant, the staff was most gracious and we enjoyed the different personalities there that we met. They made it fun!

Glasgow Marriott was a pleasure to stay in rooms very spacious, clean and warm. The hotel staff couldn't do more for us. On arrival staff were friendly and offered us an upgrade for free. We would nit hesitate in staying here again. Hotel 10min walk from main station.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott. The hotel was decorated to a high standard and was very clean. The hotel also benefits from a great gym and pool. My only gripe was the fact that they charged for wifi, which in this day and age is ridiculous. Overall though a highly recommend hotel within easy walking distance to the city centre.

I was very happy with the hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Close to Glasgow centre. I would recommend this hotel. Pool and leisure facilities very nice. Staff helpful and friendly.

We found this hotel to be very clean, in a convenient location and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only negetaive comment we would have was that there was a conferance on at the hotel when we stayed there and it was extremely busy. Waiting time for lifts was usually a good 10 - 15 mins - when we went to check out our friends were taken by staff […] out the staff exit as they had waited over 20 minutes for the lift. The conferance was on on all floors in the hotel and delegates were constantly up and down the lifts. It was a kids related conference so there were a large number of kids running around chasing each other at reception and up and down the lifts which didn't help. I would certainly use this hotel again but I would have to find out is there was anything on in the hotel before I booked. Read more

Only issue I had about this hotel was the temperature of the bath, I couldn't sit in it because it was so cold, my partner felt the same. Other than this, the place was fantastic and I would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with my wife for one night and we couldnt fault it. The bed was so comfy we didnt want to leave on the Sunday morning!!! Would recommend this to anyone and would definetly stay here again!!!

This was my first stay in a Marriott hotel and I would come back again, we had a lovely relaxing overnight stay. Check in was efficient and the girl was very informative, the room was lovely and breakfast was delicious too. Thank you for your hospitality.

Everything was fantastic apart from the fact that the plug socket and mirror are in the main part of the room where the light is very dull and there isnt any ceiling lights. Could be doing with adjustable lighting to help you see what you are doing when getting ready.

Bed was lovely, room very clean and double glazed windows blocked traffic noise. Lounge downstairs was cosy and the staff on the front desk and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Parking seems to be an issue. Building works at rear for what looks like an on-ramp for Kingston Bridge. Only advised of £8 parking fee on arrival. Main issue was a very uncomfortable night with extremely hot room and non responsive air conditioning. We both have health issues and unable to get any fresh air, meant a very uncomfortable night. By far the most impressive aspect of this hotel is the staff... This is quite something as the hotel is a good standard 4 star hotel. The rooms are comfortable with a great bed. However, I feel that they have put 'too much' in the room and it makes them feel a little cramped. The food is OK, not great but ok. I would definately book here again.

The reason I have given a 1 rating for cleanliness is that the room smelled of stale tobacco. I asked the desk if they could sort this out. We were only there for one night so I didn't ask for another room .They put a humidifier in the room which had no effect at all. In the morning it was obvious that room had been used for smoking on a regular basis […] and in need of a proper clean.The food in the bar and restaurant was very basic and over priced. We really enjoyed my time at the hotel. The facilities were good, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is very convenient for the shops. My only complaint would be to improve the heating in the lobby...and provide lorne sausage at breakfast (unfortunately a surprising shortcoming at many Scottish hotels, guest houses, B&Bs).

My stay at the hotel can only be described as superb. Had evening meal that was every penny we paid. But I think the breakfast was a wee bit over priced at £15 a head. Thought £10 would have been a fairer price.
