From the moment I walked in and saw a space heater in the lobby in front of the service desk I had a bad feeling. No HEAT anywhere. Not even in Pool. They had the wrong day reserved for us. The continental breakfast was even bad. I even had to ask them for more coffee and other things to be restocked. It seemed like it was a big deal for staff to do […] so. I had something to throw away and I walked into the kitchen area where the staff person made the coffee to find it disgusting. Where do I start, how about a massive hole in the car port roof, a broken peep sight on the door in the room, which was modified by someone that thought toilet paper was the right thing to shove into the hole, a toilet that I had to turn the water on, then if you bumped it, the whole thing moved, no coffee pot, I asked for several days to get one, I […] never did, parties trying to call me had to try 3-4 times to get thru, the girl was more interested in talking to her people then my contacts, I complained. A bike gang was allowed to race in the parking lot, doing burn outs , and filling the lobby with smoke, the person in charge was still talking on the phone to her buds. The party that someone had that night was a good one, I didn't fall asleep till they turned off the music, around 2 a.m. The ice makers did not work, I was told to take the elevator to the next floor, walk the intire lenght of the hotel and use that one, but I couldn't use the stairs, because they were closed. Hot tub was not working, T.V. remote stuck on changing channels. Several lights did not work in my room. I would think you get the idea, I wouldn't go back even if it was free to stay ! This hotel should not be on your list. the rooms were dirty, the bathroom toilet hadn't been cleaned in days. Bathroom floor was sticky and the mirror was splatered with someone else's toothpaste and shaving cream. My wife was grossed out. We had to move to another room that wasn't much better. the hallways were also dirty and smelly. Paper littered […] them including toilet paper that has stuck to someone' shoe. The front door canopy had a big hole in it from a leak and plaster was hanging down from the roof. It was a terrible site. I would never stay again if the room were free. the contintental breakfast was absolutely a disgrace. Look like a child put something out to eat. No coffee, dirty and disorganized, unappetizing. I was extremely satisfied with the quality for the price of this hotel. Whenever I return to Dayton, I will be coming right back here. A few points: Don't let the low price fool you into thinking it's a bad hotel. While there is some needed maintenance, touching up, and remodeling to be done, the hotel is in pretty good shape. It is outdated, but […] it is not in any way your typical old or rundown hotel. My room had a king size bed and plenty of room throughout. The bathroom was huge for such a small hotel, with double doors leading to the sink and shower area, and a seperate door in the bath leading to the toilet. Lots of fun things to do there. While I didn't personally visit these places, they had a pool, a hot tub, game room, arcade, and a large floor area (people were practicing here) This was my first time coming to a hotel with no accompanying parents to help me. The hotel staff was very helpful, but I didn't even need that. I was ready to deal with long waits and frustration, and never had that. When there was a mistake with putting me in a smoking room, they changed it, no questions asked, no problem. The only thing I was truly disapointed in was the continental breakfast. It did not have much of a selection, and the food did not taste good at all. If I remember right, there was cereal or bagels. Overall I truly would've been content paying double what I paid, but got it at a completely satisfactory rate. I really think this is a great choice for your stay. Read more

The only positive things were that it was close to the highway and cheap. Everything else was so poor I would rather gone somewhere else but we were so tired and stayed and left early the next day. I would NEVER go again. It was old. The continental breakfast was very limited and no-one came to eat but us!!!!! Weird!

The photos of this hotel are very misleading. It is very run down and needs updating. It is located in an industrial part of Dayton where many buildings are unoccupied. There is 1 gas station nearby and no restaurants nearby.

If all you care about is cheap... then this is ok. But don't expect any service or help. My room had no phone cord on one phone, and the other didn't work. I told the front desk, but nothing happened. On the 2nd night after checking in, my key card wouldn't work, and I had to get another one. This was one of the most negative experiences I've had in a hotel and I will not return. The first night my toilet wouldn't stop running. There was no one to do maintenance, so after I'd already settled in and been there for a few hours, I had to move. While there were only 6-10 cars in the parking lot, there were very few rooms available (my guess […] is that they hadn't been cleaned. The hotel was practically deserted). The new room didn't have a microwave like the old one had and the safe was locked shut. Given that no maintenance people were present, I didn't even try to get this fixed. There were also no trash cans in the 2nd room and toilet paper was low (enough for about 3 uses). Since I still had the key card for the other room, I took some TP and the trash can from that one. General cleanliness was average. Got locked out of my room the 2nd day and had to get rekeyed (and was not due to either card being near my cell phone--I kept them in different places away from the phone). The atrium area, where the "fitness center" and pool was only lighted by sky lights, so working out in the evening or early morning meant I had to walk in the dark to the fitness center. The latter had working machines but they were all rickety. TV didn't work, nor were any of the machines facing the TV. No bar or restaurant service available, though they had both (apparently this is seasonal). They did offer a continental breakfast, if this is what you call it. No juice or tea. I opened a packed of oatmeal and poured the "hot water" over it. The water was not hot--wasn't even tepid--room temperature. There were bagels and I did see someone with coffee, so apparently that was hot. Overall, I give it an F (but am partly responsible for expecting more for the low rate I got). Incidentally, the toilet that was running in my original room was still running when I left two days later (I could hear it from the hallway). Read more

The hotel needs some serious updating. GOOD: 1. our room was a suite with a kitchen, so we could save leftovers and have them later. 2. Location - a quick drive to Dayton. 3. Price 4. After reading some of the reviews, I knew it wasn't going to be anything spectacular and I needed something on a budget, but also wanted something safe. I was disappointed in the service from the front desk. She was rude from the start. we were given the wrong room, and had to switch, the second room was dirty but after a long travel I gave in and stayed, […] the Microwave had food in it and was dirty, the fridge had an opened bottle of water in it. Dust covered the room, the sink and the tub's water ran constantly. The shower had not been cleaned. The toilet was not sealed to the floor and every use caused a loud banging noise. this hotel is currently finishing up some major renovations, and it will be awesome when they are complete!! It has a great swimming pool, with poolside tables for eating, socializing, etc. It has a great sports bar with nice TVs, pool tables, and plenty of seating. I am sorry we were a couple of weeks too early to be able to enjoy the new amenities!! […] It is a great hotel, great staff, and reasonably priced. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of my experience at the Days Inn, specifically the ease of check-in, friendliness of the staff, and cleanliness of the room. Seems that this hotel was once a nice one.We arrived and was given a room that was non smoking ,yet someone had smoked in it .As we headed to the pool area,{which was hot all the way,the only place there seemed to be air was in the room }in fthe pool area it was unbearably hot,and had it not been for thewater[that was dirty,with stuff floating in it]we […] would not have been able to stay due to it being so hot in that area.The hot tub had a sign on it that it wasn't working,but my grandsons wanted to swim so we stayed,also there were no towels to dry off with,nor were there adequate towels in the room.My 12 year old and 9 year old grandsons commented that this was the worst hotel we had ever stayed in and wanted to know why we were not leaving.I could go on and on about what wasn't right,but I can say that the ice was cold{smile},also the food that we ordered from the locals was very good.Also I wonder if things were not up to par because they did say they were remodeling. What a crock. We were to be in Dayton for a few days and wanted a nice hotel, and the website for the Hotel Pure was great. I booked it in good faith, and got a complete mess in return. The "tropical atrium" was a huge room with dirt filled spaces with cheap, plastic flowers shoved in. The pool and game room shut down at 9pm. The "full breakfast" was […] barely a continental one. This hotel was completely and totally unacceptable, especially for what we paid for it. The one single bright spot was a maintenance guy who is also responsible for refilling the coffee in the morning at the "breakfast." He was friendly, helpful, and a genuinely nice guy. They should have made HIM hotel manager!! Don't waste your time or your money. You'll get better rooms and better service for half the price elsewhere. Read more
