Motel is in a good location , that's the only good thing about it. Rooms are nasty, we had multiple rooms . Arrived late only stayed one night. Will not stay again.

Though it is hard to get into at first appearance....once you know its location there's no problem. Lots of eateries and shopping nearby. Access to main highways relatively easy. It is an olde inn that has seen its days but served the purpose for what I was looking for.

When I first entered the room assigned to me, the temperature in the room was at 92 degrees F. The individual air conditioner was turned off. Knowing this room had been assigned the staff/house keeping should have made sure that the room would be comfortable for the arriving guest. The plumming supporting the shower head is not secured behind the bath […] tub wall. When attempting to adjust/positioning the shower head it shifts in or out from the bath tub wall. The room had a fowel oder within. It smelts like diseal fuel or kerosean oil. Staff would not exchange the room. In the future when roms are not acceptable as was the case of this room a refund should be in order. The customer should have some recourse for recovering their lost for rooms that are far vbelow par. Read more

I was very very disappointed in this hotel. I read several reviews, and felt it was a good option for myself and my children. Upon arrival our room was well over 90 degrees and smelled horrible. I asked for a different room and was offered another, in the exact same condition. I went to the nearby Walmart to purchase fans and by the next day the room […] was cool. The same night of our arrival, I was scared to realize that the police were there in the parking lot to chase a man down. The police showed up again the next night. My car alarm sounded each and every night I was there. One day I woke to find the car next to me with 4 flat tires. It rained a few of the days there and the ceiling had signs of multiple multpile water leaks and marks directly over the beds. The room was in poor condition and never really cleaned well. The tub was stained and the TV remote did not work correctly even after replacing the batteries. Suroundings were quite excellent. Distance from VA Beach was around twenty minutes. Great place for a short stay and minimal creature features.

Only used room for a few hours sleep. If I were to stay for any longer I would not have been uncomfortable with a view of a wall and door to cutodian closet out the window. That room should ony be used for staff.

The only thing we did not like about our stay was that we picked this hotel because it had a pool, there was one other hotel that was much nicer, and cheaper, that we didnt pick for that reason. BUT the pool was disgusting!!

The staff was very friendly during our 4 day stay here, my only complaint, is that the pool was not in order on a very hot weekend. Other than that, the room was clean, if we needed anything we could just call the front desk and they would get it. Easy on/off access for our trips to Virginia Beach.

I only needed a bed for the night; got there late at night for an early appointment the next day. And I got a bed, and comfortable no less. Had my family been with me, however, and had I not paid for it ahead of time, I'd have refused the room and gone down the street. First room I was given, the key did not work. It looked like someone had taken a […] ball peen hammer to the lock, and the door, although locked, was left ajar a half inch. I went back to the office and was told "We need to fix that lock." They gave me a second room, and that lock worked. Typical hotel room - bed, bedside table, small kitchenette and 2-person table and chairs. The condition was terrible, though. Took my shoes off once, and after that I would not walk on the carpet without my shoes on. The small couch was filthy to the point I would not sit on it, much less put my clothes on it. The cabinets in the kitchenette looked like they came from a dump - beat up, terribly scratched, holes in the veneer. The wallpaper was dirty, ripped and patched (sort of). The sheets, although clean, were worn beyond even the lowest hotel quality and had holes in them. Definitely not up to the standard of other Days Inns that I have stayed in. 1rst room horrible smell, toilet wouldnt flush, wall paper falling off wall. 2nd room in a dark corner by the dryer vents, bed was the worse thing I ever laid on. Some of the staff was very rude while others were very nice. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

The people at this hotel were wonderful, they did all they could to help us. The hotel, however, was in very poor condition. The beds were very uncomfortable with springs coming through. The bathrooms were very small, toilet almost touching the tub. Wallpaper coming off the walls, black smoke stains on the ceiling, the comforters were not clean, the […] doors were dirty. The pool was so very small. Most of the things they advertise for the rooms were not in the rooms. After driving from Charleston, WV we arrived with 9 other family members at the Days Inn in Chesapeake, VA ready to relax. We had reserved 4 rooms. The hotel itself wouldn't be as bad if the room was a lot cleaner. I found TONS of bugs in the room, stained sheets, holes in all the bedding, the clock didn't work, the bath tub was DISGUSTING and the bathroom floor was really really gross. I would not recommend staying here. On a better note, all of the staff were pleasant and very helpful.

Bathroom was in terrible shape. Toilet was loose from the floor and was rocky, shaky and not safe at all. There were lots of bugs coming up from under the stool. This needs to be taken care of. Tub had scum on it also. We had to scrub it out before we used it.

I'm surprised that Day's Inns renews the franchise. Rooms look like they have not been renovated since the 1960s. Carpets look like they have not been cleaned in years. Travelers should avoid this place. Expedia shouldn't even list it.

First the positives: Front desk staff were among the friendliest I've ever encountered, answered all our questions, easy check-in. Mainteance person also polite/helpful, and better than expected breakfast bar fare. But...overall facility is quite run down, garbage overflowing from trash cans (that look like they haven't been washed in years) @ stairs-beer […] bottles, fast food wrappers/bags-really smelly, stair cases dirty & in need of repair, top floor ice machine-dead, stained bed spread, paint peeling from bathroom cieling (room was clean enough, water was hot, and furniture in good repair) sink lever fell off on 1st attempt to use...at least the toilet flushed OK. Motel location was good, though so close to busy intersection that entry & exit are difficult/confusing. Large trucks will have a hard time, but ample parking for cars & doughnut shop in front if you want good coffee...I've been to 20+ countries over the years so gotten use to a lot... though it was a little scary (but sometimes funny) for my wife. The price is right and you get what you pay for. The room was filthy-not because the housekeepers don't do the best they can because I'm sure they do-simply because the hotel is in desperate need of repair and upgrading. The bed and pillows were worn out and uncomfortable; our faucet handle on the one sink kept breaking off so I had to brush my teeth/hands […] with scalding hot water; the bathroom smelled like smoke (although I was in a non smoking room); the carpet was gross...Just overall not a great experience. If I had to stay more than 4 nights, I would've bit the bullet and moved next door to the Hampton Inn at double the price...I kept reminding myself that I'd rather spend that extra $200 on entertainment...Won't be staying there again! A very nice room for the money, good size with a desk and table for guys working out of town this is a good deal. Lots of hot water too and good shower pressure after a long day on the job. Plenty of places to eat close by and grocery stores to stock the room’s refrigerator.

The room was nothing special and could have been cleaner. The beds were a bit worn out. But I wasn't expecting the Four Seasons at this price anyway. The pool is open late, which is great when you have traveled all day.

The hotel is just like the other reviewers mentioned... the rooms were not dirty but for some reason they still didn't feel CLEAN. The wallpaper was peeling in certain spots. Over the 4 days we were there, we couldn't get towels until we returned in the evening. This hotel was ok. We got a really good deal on our stay. The pool was not ever opened until after noon each day, when it is as hot as it was during our stay the pool should get cleaned and be open in a decent amount of time. This was located in close proximity to dining, grocery stores, and a Walmart. There was so many places in the surrounding area to choose from. Also, we were only 20 minutes from the beach which was very convenient for us. We will be going back in 6 weeks and definitely plan on staying there again.
