"Decent hotel for the right price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
No complaints... :)
"great for snowmobiling"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 3, 2013
Good value, not a fancy place, but perfect for staying a day or two and going snowmobiling. You can ride right from your room. The hot tub is old, but clean, same with the rooms. I have stayed there many times. Just don't expect anything special.
"Excellent Stay for the Price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 28, 2012
For the low price, and convenient location this hotel is a fantastic place to stay. It's nothing special. Don't expect it to be an Embassy Suites or a Hilton, but the staff does an excellent job with what they have. I felt the room was very clean, and I have very high standards of cleanliness. The bed was comfortable. There was a nice pool area with a hot tub that was very clean as well. The building is fairly old, but they do very well with what they have. The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you may need, and the continental breakfast was very decent. Considering what we paid to stay there, I am very satisfied with everything.

"You really do get what you pay for"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 15, 2011
We needed a place to sleep for a night at the last minute. And that's what we got. No frills at all. The pillows were thin and the tv was small. The wi fi was very spotty which was annoying. However, it was cheap and available so I am not complaining. It was clean and it met our needs. For an extra $100 we could definitely have done better, but we were only there a few hours and then we were back to enjoying Estes Park.

"Awesome Place to Stay"
Second time we have stayed here. We really like the hotel. The room had a good view of the mountains. The pool was nice and so was the hot tub. We love the fact it is all enclosed and the pool temp was comfortable. The work out room is nice. We will be staying here time and time again. We have stayed at several different hotels in Estes and we really […] like this one, it has a lot of amentities to offer the others don't especially when staying in the winter time. "Nice, basic hotel for park-goers"
If you're looking for luxury, Rocky Mountain Park Inn might not fit the bill. If you're looking for a place to crash at the end of a long day in the park, then this place works nicely. It's an older hotel, but it's been taken care of. The rooms were cozy enough- pretty typical amenities. The pool and hot tub area looked clean, but we didn't have time […] to use them. Bartender at the hotel's "Longz Grill & Bar" (clumsy name..!) was helpful when we were trying to find a place open for dinner past 8pm. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The wall heater in the first room we had was old and made a racket. We requested a new room and was given one where the wall heater was newer and a lot quieter. Altho older, the rooms are large and attractive. We liked it and enjoyed our stay. Would stay there again. Plus the rate was excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and well-maintained"
The hotel looks a bit nicer in photos than in real life. The real difference is the age of the buildings, I was a bit dismayed that it was much older than the photos on Expedia lead me to believe. Points though for being clean and well maintained. The beds were clean and comfortable, soft sheets and good pillows. On the downside, chatter in the hallways […] can be heard in the rooms ( due to the concrete construction of the building) but as in most places, the chatter dies down once people settle in their rooms. Unfortunately, the room neighboring ours was occupied by teenagers or college students who screamed and shouted in their room, waking me up at midnight and again at 1:00am. After pounding on the adjoining doors to let them know they were too loud, they died down briefly, and shortly roared back up again at which point, I called the front desk to complain. I heard the phone ring in their room shortly after, so I assume the front desk called them. They roared back up again after that. I don't know what happened once I finally fell asleep. I do wish the hotel had apologized for the ruckus, or discounted our room. We stayed in the off season, ( when the hotel restaurant doesn't operate and they had just filled the pool) so it would seem it wasn't full enough to necessitate booking rooms so close together. Other than that, I would stay here again the next time I need to stay in Estes Park. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It was good, had adjoining rooms, which was great as we had several girls staying and did not want to be in separate areas. The only problem was the front doors were locked when we got back later in the evening and needed to get another key. I have not ever been at a hotel where there is not a front desk avail. 24/7. We were able to get in as the side […] door was unlocked, which was great for us, but maybe not the safest beings everyone else can as well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Impossible???"
They REALLY need to sign up for Anthony from the Hotel Impossible show to come help. I am aware I wasn't booking the Four Seasons, and I think I have pretty reasonable expectations, but the customer service here (or lack thereof) would've been comical if it wasn't so infuriating. Here's a sampling, "Your room is on the 4th floor, oh and by the way the […] elevator is out, Enjoy your stay." (Handed us the key, turned her back, no offer made to relocate as we stood there a little stunned.) Once we trudged up to our 4th floor room, luggage in tow, it reeked of cigarette smoke, but the windows do open thankfully, to let in fresh air. We had no tv remote for our room and never had one delivered, as promised. I am glad we trekked to the 4th floor because I think it would've been really loud with all the kids running around anyhow. (Not very sound proof construction.) On the plus side the beds were comfortable, although everything else in the hotel is kind of rundown & janky. (No refrigerators, the hair dryer kept dying, no elevators, no remote, one bar of soap for hand washing AND showering, dirty shower, cracked walls & tiles etc, which I might have excused if they had better/friendlier customer service.) Basically, this is an overpriced Motel 6...with an indoor pool & softer beds. I honestly was expecting more along the lines of a Best Western/ Quality Inn, which isn't all that much to expect, and was quite disappointed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Absolutely Perfect!"
This was our first trip away alone since our son was born. It was much needed and everything about our stay was amazing. Great room, great view, excellent location, wonderful lounge, large hot tub and pool. In addition to all this, the staff was friendly and helpful. Absolutely NO complaints. We WILL be coming back soon!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I did not enjoy this hotel. The chlorine in the pool was very strong and consumed our room. The room was not very clean (trash under the beds). I barely got any sleep because I was very uncomfortable. We will not stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel unfortunate problem"
Overall the hotel seemed very nice and friendly. Our main problem was that the pool heating system had broken prior to our stay and it was too cold to swim. My wife was very disappointed as she mainly wanted to swim with our 2 year old while we were there. They would not even put their feet in. Thankfully the hot tub was still working and we could relax […] in there, but it was too hot for my son. The timing was unfortunate for us and even though it was fixed during our stay, it did not warm up enough over the 24hrs we were there. The rest of the hotel and room were very nice including the onsite grill buffet breakfast for about $6 per person. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good enough to sleep between hikes @ Rocky Mtn. NP"
Good enough for what I needed-- a place to lay my head between hikes. Didn't use the pool or restaurant or bar, just slept there and checked e-mail. Definitely noisy inside. Close to downtown but not really walkable as they claim.Genuine Expedia guest review
"cold pool, cold night"
My 7 year old daughter loves to swim. We chose this hotel because of the pool. The water was very cold (despite it saying it was a heated pool). Our room was ok but there was no extra blanket so I got cold. The pillows were square and small, so made for an uncomfortable night. I usually don't complain, and I knew this going in, but there was no continenetal […] breakfast. I was dissapointed with everything.... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Enjoyed our stay!!!"
The check in process was painless, and the staff was pleasant. Our room was clean and inviting. I really like the type of bedding used, as the bedspread appeared to be very fresh and clean (not the case with many hotels). I also like the fact that the hotel is doing its part to be ecofriendly, by posting friendly reminders for customers regarding water […] conservation, etc., using the low flow shower heads, and providing a recycling bin. We received a quick check out statement under our door the next morning, allowing us to get on with our site seeing early in the morning. We did not take advantage of the breakfast or visit the lounge, but it is great that that is available. We’ll probably get a chance to do that on our next visit. Oh, can’t forget the pool and hot tub. Wonderful!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not the Stanley, but not bad"
Going in the off season don't expect a lot of extras. Housekeeping came around once in 3 days, and I think I saw 4 actual hotel employees in those three days. However, don't let the dorm style look detract you. The room was clean and reasonably nice, the indoor pool heated to 86 degrees was a plus, and I especially liked the pool tables. Tim the Maintenance […] guy was super nice and accommodating, more so than the front desk even (he brought us plastic cups for our glass beers so we could drink them in the pool area). Overall, although I think I'll find a cabin next time to try something different, this hotel isn't that bad and I'd probably stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel, Poor Management"
Not once of the four times that I came to the front desk was someone actually at it. The employees seem to like to hide in the office off to the side and make you wait until they are ready to serve you. The pool area has racks for pool towels but signs taped to them stating to please go to the front desk for pool towels. Of course that has a normal […] wait for employee to come from side office. Pool side rooms are loud at all hours of the night even though the pool is supposed to be closed at 11:00pm. This allows for about five hours to actually sleep if you have a pool side room. Pool side rooms don't allow you to walk to the pool from your room. That's not a big deal but would have been a factor in choosing a room had I known. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect location"
Estes is like our 2nd home. We live an hour away so its our go to place for a quick get away. We try to stay someplace new every time, this is definitely in our top 3. Great deal on Expedia, perfect location. Close to the theater which we frequent, close to Safeway and another small grocer. Close to several eateries and all the shopping. It's also convenient […] when youre ready to leave, just hop right on 34 or 36 (the 2 main ways out of town). We had a 2nd floor room w/ a balcony that overlooks the large pool/game area. This was great as I could check and see when the pool was free from screaming splashing kids. The pool was warm enough if you get in and actually move, but if you just plan on standing in the water the hot tub is a better bet. There's also a gym pool tables and foosball. There were vending machines that had snacks and also handy things like asprin and disposable cameras and other such items you might have forgotten to pack. The chlorine was a bit strong too. Our room was comfortable, well decorated/updated. Amazing smelling soaps. Comfy bed and pillows. We went during off season which may have been why the restaurant on location wasn't open for dinner but IDK. Its fine thou plenty of choices all nearby. We got a call after dinner to check on us see if we needed anything. Easy check in easy check out. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Overall good stay"
The hotel was clean, well maintained and the staff friendly and competant. The building itself gives the appearance of being old and dated. "Very family friendly - near National Park"
I decided to stay at Rocky Mountain Park in partially due to location and cost. Other hotels in the area were two times as much (I,e,; the Stanley) but thought this was much better location for the price. When I got there, the help was a little slow, but not obnoxiously slow. Checking in was then quick and painless. I loved the fact that this is a completely […] smoke free hotel and is part of a green program. The pool area was phenomenal and has something for any one who has young children or teenagers. Check out was super simple- leave the key in the room. The overall stay was good, I felt like the atmosphere was very inviting. The only flaw that I could see was that the wall heater/air conditioner in the room was very old school style, with modern updates which distracted from the otherwise pleasant aesthetics. "Not a goog experiencie"
I spent thanksgiving weekend this year and I didn't feel confortable in this hotel. Honestly I was not looking for luxury since most of the time we were going to be hiking. They es a 3rd floor room and guess what, there was not elevator to get there unless you go upstairs by the lobby, in other words long walk. We were able to see the Christmas parade […] and when we came back to the hotel the parking lot was full. We decide to go to the resturant in the hotel and they were having a buffet, but guess what the buffet was sausages and hamburguers with a dessert. The reason why I dont give 2 stars instead of 3 is because is conveniently located but next time I won't stay here again, you decide. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
