Stayed there for 2 weeks. A nice hotel, in a convinient location not too far from downtown . If you are using public transport you may take 100 or 34 bus to get to the metro. Great superstore (for groceries) 7 minutes walk away. The hotel has probaly seen better times, but still remains a decent place to stay. Room was ok, quiet and comfortable. The main compains are about breakfast - in gemeral OK but needs to vary, it does not give pleasure to eat the very same food every day during 2 weeks. But if you are stayign for just a few days, you'll probably be satisfied. They also reserved money for the parking, although I didn't have a car. Tried to explain it on the reception several times, but I'm still in the process of gettig my money back.

After a very unpleasant "to do" at the front desk, re money, to then arrive in our room, to discover dog fesces on the balcony, was a dreadful start to our much anticipated "time for us" (on our birthday as well). Everything went down hill from there. The breakfast was a joke. Nowhere near enough food for the guests, and the bacon was almost raw, so therefore inedible. Very Very dissappointed in the whole experience. This was a birthday gift from my Mum, who could ill afford it.

The hotels location is not to be found in navigation system. The rooms are very dirty and the bed sheets stinks. The room has no fridge nor microwave. If u need one u have to pay 25 and 20 dollars per night for microwave and fridge. They charge 13 a night for parking. The hotel staff say at the check in that there are carts for u helping to take ur stuff to ur room, but whenever we checked there were none. Overall this hotel does not worth a penny of the money u spend and anyone is better off to spend 20 more bucks to get a room they can sleep and be comfortable in...

The Toronto Don Valley Hotel was located very close to the Ontario Science Center where the Harry Potter Exhibition was being held. I t was for this reason we chose the hotel.

Good hotel, spent 4 nights,no complains, excellent pools, outdoor and indoor, saunas. We had a good time over there. It just a construction around hotel gives you a little discomfort.

There was a wedding at the hotel and the guests had an adjoining room. They partied all night. My husband asked them to try and keep it down just about every hour on the hour. The last time we looked at the clock, it was 4:20 AM and they were still at it. We finally fell asleep out of exhaustion. Nice birthday weekend for somewhere I'd never been! Not!!

One issue was mandatory valet parking. When I left something in the car, they were very agreeable about walking back to the car with me to retrieve my item. I found the valet parking easy to use, and all the valet staff friendly. The staff at the desk were helpful each evening when looking for a place to deliver. Pizza or pizza seemed to be the choices, though. They had a room set aside for storing our luggage between check-out and actually departing, which was very convenient!

""Stuck on the smoking floor""

The only thing that made this experience less optimal is the fact that when I checked in, I was told only smoking rooms were available. My flight was delayed, and I called ahead to let them know. My booking confirmation said that I had reserved a non-smoking room...The smell was pretty pungent when we stepped out of the elevator, and I just hoped my clients didn't smell it on my clothes! The breakfast was also pricey for a Continental breakfast.

"Good room for the money"

It was a pleasant surprise for the price of the room, construction was underway but a non-factor on the weekend. The surrounding area was okay with restaurants within a 5 minute drive. The hotel was a little far from downtown making a slightly expensive cab ride if you intend to go out.

food was mediocre at best, yet quite expensive. Construction was very intrusive (5:30am), I would wait until it is complete before staying there.

This hotel had mandatory valet parking and a cot cost extra as well. For a hotel of this price I would expect these things to be included. The room had a very old heating and cooling unit that was either hot or cold. The thermostat on the unit did not work and everyone was hot all night.

We got there on the Saterday of the blizzard of Mar 08. So the conditions were terrible. Next day, Sunday we called for our car and were surprised to find it pulled up beside a huge snow drift. Hard for the Driver to get in and no one to help with luggage or anything.
