Hotel was in a great location to us. There is plenty of restaraunts and shopping close by. Very close to the 407 and other main roads. Was dissapointed when we got to our room. We had requested a King but ended up with two double beds. We notified the main desk and was told there were no King beds available. The room was nice however there were small things that just added up to dissapointment. Asked for a late check out, were told that it would cost another 58 dollars for that. We made one local phone call, that cost 1.45! The room was clean but not great. Hair in the bathtub, dirt on the bathroom floor ect. The hotel was very busy with a confrence while we were there, however there was plenty of free parking in their parking garage.

The bed pillows were all too large and too hard. Other than that, great location, price good.

you SHOULDN'T have two hotels with the same name in the same city!! We were very disappointed that we had to wait for the hotel bus to take us to the wrong hotel and then had to take a 40.00$ taxi to the right one.The hotel was Four Points by Sheriton but Dixie road. I happened to get Frost bite on my big toe because of all the waiting and travelling. We had just arrived back from Mexico and had no closed shoes or boots. Not fun.Th hotel itself was great but do we want the inconvience again probably not....

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 Christmases as it is very close to the Don Valley and one exit away from the family we are visiting, so we can't beat the location. It is getting a bit rundown and warn. We had to move the bed to find a plug and it was clear by the amount of dust and used condom wrapper (ugh!) that no one had cleaned behind […] it in a long time. Overall however, you can't beat the location for the cost. Read more
"Great Value"
Rooms were very clean and included everything one would expect when on the road for an extended period Did not hear a sound throughout the 4 nites we stayed. Free internet, ease of indoor self parking (appreciated in the winter months), friendly and efficient staff, easy access off the 401 yet far enough away not to be caught in the traffic, complete […] workout facilities, well maintained/attractive pool and great price make this a no-brainer. "The VDP Hotel and Suites"
This hotel is close to the DVP and once that you have learned to take Eglington to get there you arrive with no problem. The ramp to roll up the suitcases is convenient. Risha ,at the main lobby desk is very friendly and always smiling. There is a restaurant at the end of the main lobby area where we had a Christmas brunch. There is an indoor and outdoor […] pool. The rooms are spacious and the washroom is large enough to move around in . Very easy to get to Riverdale Ave. which was my destination. Read more
"Close to everything"
A quick stay at this establishment was not enough. Although a little difficult to find, the staff on the phone were more than helpful to point us to the right direction. For the centre of toronto and easy access to many spots, this was definately a great hotel for the price we paid. The bathroom floors were heated, the toilettries were lovely. Next […] time we stay in Toronto, i will definately look for this hotel again. Read more
The hotel was neat, clean, convenient and the staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. There was plenty of parking and being able to eat in the hotel saved us having to look for restaurants. Overall, good accommodation. I expect we'll be staying with you on future trips to Toronto.
"Too hard to find but a great price"
This place is listed on their web site with the wrong street address and it does not have adequate signs to show the way because it is not easily seen from the main road. The underground parking is very difficult to get to from inside the hotel and did not feel like a safe place to be. The price was excellent for the quality and size of the room. Breakfast […] buffet was good but not cheap but $5.00 each off your breakfast for not having housekeeping clean the room was a great idea. Hotel bar-restaurant was very good. Indoor swimming pool looks very nice but did not try it. There are change rooms but I would take a bath robe and sandals if I went back. Parking is extra but reasonable . Read more

"freindly staff"
When we arrived, the hotel staff were pleasant. Our room heater was not working and they responded immediately. This hotel has bus stations right outside leading to subway. We enjoyed the noon checkout time. We did not feel rushed at all. Close to Sunnybrook Hospital. We will use this hotel again.
"Don Valley Hotel and Suite"
Nice hotel, very economical. Good location but confusing at first to get to because the address is Eglinton Ave, but the entrance to hotel is off a side street. Would stay there again!

"Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites"
Dated facility some issues with front line registration staff - unprofessional and not customer service focused. Furniture is older lampshades are discoloured and in need of repair. Wahsrooms could be cleaner. TV's are old and the selection of channels are basic.
The pool, whirl pool and sauna were just wonderful. The temperature of the pool water was absolutely delicious. Our two year old grand-daughter could stay in the water a little longer because of the warm temperature. It was most inviting. Disappointed about the parking costs!! It would have been nice to have a fridge and a safe in the unit. The tube […] tv is out of date and the reception and channel choices were poor. It would have been nice to have medical rates. Change your address..... it took us an hour in rush hour traffic to finally locate the hotel that is on Wynford Drive and not Eglington. How very annoying. Read more

"Staff and building need upgrades"
Perhaps it was the late hour of my arrival (10 pm) but the desk clerk could barely be bothered to check me in, tell me where my room was or anything else. The hotel is in a sad state of repair. $13 to overnight park in a suburban neighbourhood seems steep. If I hadn't been to this hotel years before I probably couldn't have found it. Once inside, […] the reception desk is poorly indicated. The room was clean and quiet so if you want a cheaper alternative, a satisfactory room and bed, and don't expect any service or nice common areas this place will do. Read more

"Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites"
Hotel did not come out to be cheaper than other hotels once the parking fees were included in overall price. The fact that one has to pay for parking on top of room charge makes this hotel too costly for what you get.
"Don't Stay Here"
It took 3 times to get a room that didn't stink! I ordered a fridge and microwave and it never came. After asking several times i was told they were all given out to other rooms 2 nights prior. I reminded them I ordered mine 2 weeks prior they said they it was first come first serve. There is no elevator except for a keyed wheelchair one, which they […] refused us to use to go to the large ballroom on the lower level - many stairs. My knee was in pain by the end of the conference. They are understaffed i the cafe and so food takes forever. I would not recommend this hotel, it sucks big time!!! Read more

"do not reserved this hotel"
When I went to this hotel around 9:40pm,the receptionist cannt find my information for over 40 min. finally, she got it,but not any double beds room left.she gave me a key for one king bed room, and add a temporary bed.so it was really a bad reservation for this hotel.
"Don Valley Hotel - difficult to find"
Coming south off Don Valley Parkway, I found the hotel very difficult to find. The map provided on the website was not detailed enough to show the complex turns required to get to the hotel. Would have been helpful to know to turn off at Wynford Dr instead of Eglinton.
"Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites"
This Hotel had better days. Altought the rooms were OK. The breakfast restaurant was basic and the staff happy to see you leave. The inside pool and hot tub was so so. The room patio door need isolation (noise and wind) and the corridor carpet need refresh.
"Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites"
Not a bad hotel, but not very clean. The rooms needed updating. It was close to the city center which was I needed to be able to conduct business efficiently. I would recommend it if it were cheaper. For the price the quality should have been greatere.
"Bad Service and Bad Location"
I booked a single "king-size" bedroom but they gave me double bedroom instead .. I informed the reception employee and showed her that my booking is for single bedroom not double but she refused to change the room due to unavailability. Location: it's far away from Eglinton subway station .. It'll cost $15 dollars in taxi to go the station and if you […] want to take the bus it's $3 and takes usually more than 15 minutes to reach the subway station .. A wonderful oasis, tucked up on a hill. Look for the hotel sign on Wynford Drive exit. You can be as active as you want, swimming, walking, exercise room or the quiet bar area. Good food, good service. Shopping and restaurants in the surrounding area are about 5 km. east of the hotel.
I am a light sleeper and for someone like that this Hotel is not the place to stay. I heard people yelling out in the hallways, banging on doors and partying all night long. I had a very restless night and would not stay there again.
"Don Valley in toronto"
The hotel is good as far as clealiness and comfort of the rooms are concerned. the staff was friendly and helpful. The negative thing is the location. The other thing is that there is hardly a place to eat and the breakfast is not included. there are a very few restaurants within […] walking distance. If you just want to stay overnight then i would recommend it. But there are downtown hotels which offer a free breakfast for the same price if you book in advance Read more
Quick check-in, close to highway. Decent price but room still had bad cigarette smell.
"Wish I'd known about this hotel sooner!"
A totally unpretentious hotel in the European style of large hotels. Simple but comfortable, easy-going service and serene setting. Not much to do in terms of seeing things in the neigbourhood, but safe areas to walk, and easy to get to downtown Toronto. Well worth the price and the drive.

Very nice hotel clean beautiful pool greAt accessible parking . Front desk clerk very nice, great looking loby with piano. Located just a few min by car, from down town and close to restaurants and stores. Just a little complicated to get on site! If you miss the entrance you must go back on high way to get back in! Great hotel would stay again!

"Service was not so good"
FIrst off the location was hard to find. It is tucked away a litle under the bridge and back a little. Once found getting to it was easer. There was pizza boxes and some glasses in the hallway when we checked in our room. The next morning when I got up, those pizza boxes where still there and so where the glasses. Now not so bad right? Well they were […] quick enough to put a bill under my door but not able to pick up those boxes from the night before? Also the T.V. remote was not working when I got there.I called and told the front desk that it was not working, they said " We will send someone rate up" 45 muintes later and a grubmling stomach of my 8 year old they were still not there, so we went down to teh front desk. They called again so I had to go back up to the room and wait again. this time only 5 minutes... There were two phones in the room. Only one worked. Of course it wasn't the one on the desk but beside the bed. All in all not a good stay. My son wants to go to hotels and is always eager to go. even he said, "Dad this hotel is no so nice" I will not stay here again and certainly not recommend it. Read more
"Don Valley Hotel and Suites"
The only negative thing I can say about our experience at this hotel was the fact that the address on the website is not the entrance to the hotel. The entrance is on a completely different street. I used Google Maps with 1250 Eglinton E and not being from Toronto at all found myself in an idustrial area of Brampton....I had no idea that it was such […] a long street. GPS on phone wouldn't work, 2 calls to the hotel, 4 different people for directions and a map later(all in rush hour) ...finally found the hotel. Besides that found it a nice place to stay, it was clean, quiet and a great location for what we intended to do. I would stay there again, probably next summer. Read more

The breakfast buffet is excellent value. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools are exactly what children and adults alike crave for in the heat of summer. Disgusting- no air in the 1st room, second room was just as bad. Smelly feet scent. dead bugs on walls, everything was dirty. From what the pictures looked like, you'd think it was a lot nicer, but the basic things needed were extra charge. I just wanted to say that my recent stay at the Don Valley Hotel was very enjoyable. The staff was excellent as well as the accomadations. The hotel was beautiful, the maid service was very good, and the location was very closed to where I neeeded to be.Overall my stay was extremely pleasant, and would reccomend it to anyone wanting to visit Toronto.

A very clean and comfortable hotel. We stayed for two nights and we were very satisfied. The location is not the best (we travelled by coach and public transportation and we had to change 2 means of transportation from downtown) but at least it is a quiet location. Good value for the price we paid. I recommend it.
