This stay we had a room with 2 double beds. The bathroom was updated with 2 sinks. This location & room are just fine for our purposes.

We stay here because of the proximity to our family member. It is good value when the room is available at a reduced rate. However, at this last visit we booked the room with the breakfast included only to be informed that the breakfast was for one person only. Great place to stay if you don't mind a short 10 mile drive to downtown Toronto. The drive is scenic through the valley. The room was great and everything felt right. I wasn't too happy about the $13.50 for parking each night, but high parking rates seem to be the norm in the Toronto area. Ideally, parking at any hotel should be free. When we got there, the guy at the front desk said it would take at least an hour and that there were multiple connections. If you stay here, you'll have to drive downtown and parking is EXPENSIVE. It is an older hotel. Pros: The room was clean, the staff efficient, wireless connectivity was strong, large pool, and workout area, and the bed was comfortable. Cons: TV was older tube type from the previous century, no in-room safe, hotel restaurant has limited appeal, and parking was expensive.

The hotel staff is rude/unresponsive. The hotel is dirty and while there are a handful of rooms that have been renovated, the Executive Rooms are not amoung them. Toronto Don Valley is one of my favorite hotels. It's independent, not tied to Holiday Inn, Hilton, or any of the national chains, and it seems better off for it. The staff is courteous and professional. There are some major renovations going on but they're doing it in an unobtrusive way, the most noticeable thing being the closed gift shop. There are two pools, one is seasonal and closed at the time of our visit and the other is indoor, under a glass dome, which is a very nice touch. The fitness facilities are more than adequate and there is a spa as well. From my observation of the completed renovations, it will be a very nice place to stay once everything is done -- even more so than it already is. It is a little tricky to get to if you're unfamiliar with the area, but if you treat the Eglinton/Wynford intersection as a freeway interchange, it'll make it much more sense. Read more

Standard 4 stars hotel. It appears that some parts were under renovation but there was no noise. Elevators are slow but room was good, large and clean. There's a bar and restaurant in the hotel.

They are starting a major renovation program, about $2m, in early 2012. The hotel needs it. It was nice a couple of years ago, but has slipped. Many minor, annoying changes. Breakfast buffet used to be $5, then $10. Now a fixed American breakfast is $14. Tim Horton's is 200 meters up the hill. The walk does me good too.

We arrived at the hotel after a long 8 hour drive...we removed all of our luggage from the car my friend placed our luggage on the luggage cart and wheeled while I checked in... when he came to meet me at the front desk...that's when we were told to go back outside to carry our lugge through the back entrance because the ramp was in the back of the […] hotel (strick 1)...when we finally arrived in our hotel room the heating system was out dated and there were no refridgerators in the room I couldnt believe it we had to put our food outside to keep them cool(strike 2)... and last but not least our toilet was backed up the first night we maintenance came in and supposedly first it and after 2 flushs later was backed up again (strick 3)...we ended up moving into a new room 5 doors down with all the same problems minus the toilet issue. I was looking for a place to sleep for two night and it had to be reasonable price. Hotel itself needs renovation, but it was clean and quite. Would go again if I have to stay in Toronto on my own. Parking had to be paid at place for $12.00 per night.

While the hotel was nice, it was very hard to find. Once in, it took 30 minutes to check in due to short staff. The room was comfortable and clean. The restraunt staff was horrible. It took an hour from when I ordered to receive my food. This seemed to be the norm with all the patrons. When i phoned down to find out why the same male told me to bring my computer down to the desk. When I got down there, one of the females told me she could have told me over the phone how to fix it. There was supposed to be an indoor pool and whirlpool. Driving on Eglington Ave is busy at the best of times. There wasn't visible signage to get to the hotel. I had to turn around twice and get directions once to finally locate the hotel. The staff are friendly. The hotel is situated right off of the main parkway, which connects to the major highways. If you have a car, it is the right place to be as the parking prices downtown is expenisve. Overall satisfaction is good.

Let's start by saying "this is an older hotel." The rooms are fine. The bed is comfortable. There is neither fridge nor microwave oven in the room. They also forgot to mention, when I made our reservation, that the indoor pool is out of service for major repairs. There is a decent-size fitness center and a hot tub. The location is not bad. We are 5 […] minutes (by car) from Uptown Toronto which is a very high-paced, very hip part of town, full of shops, great places to eat and access to public transportation. We are 15 minutes from Downtown Toronto (just take the 34 bus to Yonge St. and then the subway; ~50 minutes). Parking kind of sucks 'cause you have to pay everywhere, even at the hotel.
