We stayed at this hotel for 2 days while our home was being repaired. We have 2 dogs and yet wanted someplace that would be clean and comfortable, and decent for the children. When they said that they had "pet friendly" rooms , I thought we'd have a room with dirty carpet and poor finishings. That was not the case. The room was clean and attractive, […] and the quality of the hotel was great. Finding that the indoor/outdoor pool and spa were open 24 hrs was great for a swim after the kids were in bed. The soaps, shampoo and other personal care items were of great quality (from Bed, Bath, and Beyond) and the housekeeping staff were generous when they found we were staying over. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are traveling with pets. (Be aware there is a $30 one time pet fee though) Read more

Stayed with my family of 5 and a large dog. Was looking for a clean and nice hotel that accepted pets. This worked out well. Beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Just needed a rest in the middle of a long road trip it this worked out great.

This is a very nice, updated Holiday Inn. The staff was very courteous and thoughtful. I booked an Executive King room, and it was clean and modern, quiet and very comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the old hotel-style heater unit in the wall. It was difficult to control the temperature. I would prefer a wall thermostat.

I had such a bad experience here, I will never stay at this or another Holiday Inn. First, what they advertise on hotels.com is not what is really on offer. For example, we specifically made a reservation for 4 adults and picked the option that came with 'breakfast included.' So you can imagine how irritated we were to be told that our reservation covered […] breakfast for only 2 people. This was never stated anywhere on their Hotels.com listing. They also advertise themselves as pet-friendly, but dogs are only allowed on the 1st floor. Again, this would be fine if clearly stated, but it's not written anywhere. So even though we clearly specified on our reservation that we had a small dog with us, they gave us a room on the fourth floor. They then had the nerve to imply that WE violated their pet policy! To add insult to injury, they ignored our request for a room as close to the front door as possible (for a mobility-impaired person in our party). When I spoke to the manager, he did nothing but blame Hotels.com, saying that they didnt get our request because of technical glitches and that these problems happen all the time. We've never had this problem before: certainly, if other hotels are getting it right, this hotel should be able to get it right too, but the manager apparently doesn't care to improve a long-standing problem they've received numerous complaints about. Finally, the hotel (chairs and carpet) are grimy and old. Read more

We booked for the indoor/outdoor pool and the highway intersection location but the pool lounge made it really special. Nice plantings around the outdoor pool, lounge and courtyard. Lots of comfortable new wicker club chairs to relax and read my free newpaper in while my kids played in the pool. The hotel itself was beautiful. The pool, game room, bar, cafe was great. All the staff were great except the 2nd shift (3-11pm) desk staff. That set of staff acted as if they owned the world and were snotty and rude and acted as if they did not have the time of day for us. Keep in mind that we were staying there before we were moving into our new home […] (we were moving from out of state) and spent a lot of money there considering it was our only place to "live" at the moment. The hotel was nice, just outdated hallways and a weird floor plan as well as very slow elevators made walking the stairs much quicker. The Pool and Raquetball, weight room, restaurant/bar are what made the stay much better, as well as the easy, close location. Having washer and dryers helped with our boys uniforms needing cleaned, too.

We chose the hotel based on good reviews but I'm not sure those people stayed in the same place. Our room was dirty and worn. The halls were filthy. They seem to cater to railroad workers because there were many rail trucks in the parking lot. Parents beware there is alot of porn advertised on the hotel tv. We checked out a day early and they would […] not refund our last night. Breakfast cost extra and unless you are a priority club premium member it isn't free contrary to another posting here. The hotel was also hard to get to from the highway. We previously stayed at the holiday inn in Farragut and wish we had again. Hotel staff was polite and helpful, and courteous enough to lower the pet rate when I explained that some of the other HI's were only charging $25 max, and some did not charge at all and they had wanted to charge $50. We only had a cat with us which we do not feel warrants the need for such a high fee like a dog.

Great hotel. Never get a basement or 1st floor room. They wreak. All other rooms are nice, updated, clean & comfortable linens. Place has an indoor pool, game room, and two raquet ball courts (slightly outdated but very usable and a great perk). Going for a long jog directly from the hotel is not so great.
