This is the best hotel we have found in Billings for those who want to bring a dog. They have grass "courtyard" areas right outside the ground floor rooms, and they don't act like you are a criminal for bringing your pet. The staff was friendly. It is conveniently located to shopping. You can pay an extra $5 when you book the room to have the free breakfast, […] and it is definitely worth it, as they let you order off the menu up to $10 or take the buffet. The buffet was great- lots of fresh fruit, good variety, and lots of hot food selection, and breakfast goes from 6-11. The rooms are just average, (which is the sacrifice you make when you travel with a pet) but the bed was comfortable and clean. We always stay here when we go to Billings. Read more

Dirty and cold hot tub with people smoking in it. When I called about the smoking they sounded responsive but never followed through. The hotel staff was mediocre as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. Not impressed. I did appreciate the nice housekeeper who let us in our room after the key would not work for us.

I think this property treats Hotel.com guest like 3rd rate guest. I was given a room very far from lobby and after walking the property fo 20 mnuites a staff member finally directed me to my room the next day I see a guest with a map. The beds were hard and the TV was limited.

Hopeless Hotel. Lobby area looks good. Rooms very bad. The bathroom tub was blocked, toilet almost blocked. Takes 50 $ for a small dog and there isn't even a pet area. Don't go there looking at "holiday inn" brand

We paid about 1/3 more for this room than at a different hotel not far from the Holiday Inn Grand. We expected the quality of the room and facilities to be a notch better. It took me almost 40 minutes to check in because there was such a line. When the staff called for the manager on duty to come and help, no once came. The front desk staff was very nice. I had to insert and reinsert my key about 20 times each time I left the room to get in. I ordered room service- the food was disappointing but the young man that took my order and delivered it was extremely pleasant. The room looked ok on the surface, but needed a deep cleaning around the corners and behind/around furniture. Yuck! If we weren't traveling with our dog we wouldn't have stayed here. The beds are comfortable, the pillows though were lumpy. The hotel overall is very dated and the staff seemed uninterested (except for the ladies in the restaurant during breakfast and the wonderful lady that brought our room service the 2nd morning.) Clean but old hotel. Needs updated with more than the flatscreen tv and comforters on beds. While those things are a plus the bed was Absolutely worn out and in desperate need of replacement. The room was very clean, and nicely decorated. Loved the down comforters. The property is beautifully landscaped and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Very nice continental breakfast as well - better than the full breakfast I had the subsequent night at another hotel (not a Best Western). I would definitely recommend it.

It was clean and nice! It was difficult to find our Room and it was a slight Hike. There are mulitple Buildings to this hotel, each having 2 floors, it hard to tell where you are at and if you are on the 2nd floor, you want to be sure you are in the right blding. No elevator so you are taking the stairs. The Blds. are connect with small Court yards. […] If you are in Blding F, it is a long walk to the Pool. Which is open until 11pm. My wife and I visited Billings to visit some relatives, made a side trip to Thermopolis, and stayed here one night before catching our flight back home. I was a little disappointed to realize that only a small fraction of the rooms are actually in the main building with the atrium. This is a large convention-oriented hotel that has seen better days, but is by no means run down. Our room was comfortable and reaonably well furnished, and the furniture appeared relatively new. The only real annoyance was a somewhat old and rather loud air conditioning unit that had no thermostat, only "low cool / high cool / low heat / high heat" settings with a fine tuning knob. It started off bad, by not getting into our room until 3.5 hrs after check-in. Our room wasn't ready, the front desk staff were doing the best they could. Once in our room, staff was very helpful.

Our stay was interesting. The dates might have had something to do with as it was over New Years Eve. There were 2 New Year's Eve parties, 1 Sweet 16 party and a Wedding Dance all the same night. The guests next to us proceeded to party all night long and I mean ALL night long. At 2:30 a.m. we called down to the front office. They were talked to I […] believe but it did not stop them. At 8 a.m. they were still VERY loud and hitting the walls and yelling profanities. We did talk to the main desk about the situation but they said that they were not able to compensate our room because we booked it on-line. My husband and I and our teenage boys did NOT sleep at all. How could we, we had drunk and obnoxious guests having a whoopla next door. The hotel were aware of it and we did not get angry or upset with them. It wasn't their fault.
