The 'free internet' is incredibly slow. They try to sell you 'high speed' internet access for an additional fee which I felt was misleading. I need to get work done and wasn't able to because the web service was so slow. Other than the internet, the hotel was clean and comfy.

I booked this hotel for my mom and 12-year-old nephew on their visit to DC. This was as close to the city as my mom was willing to drive, but it proved to be a worthwhile investment. It is close to shopping and loads of restaurants, and a not a huge drive to the metro into the city. A shuttle for guests to the nearest metro would make this hotel THAT much better (even one offered at a nominal fee would be acceptable). Rooms are great - plush, comfortable - indoor pool is a nice amenity, and the staff are top notch. We arrived very early, and the manager agreed to let my family check in so it was done and they wouldn't have to worry about it after a busy day sightseeing in the city. This is where I will put all my family members when they stay if they don't want to drive into the Big City!

After checking into the hotel, I went to my assigned room which was already occupied by another guest. The front desk apologized and gave me a key to another room. Unfortunately, the second room had a clogged sink and off I went to a third room. Despite having a tub that drained poorly, this room was suitable for my overnight stay. The bed was comfortable allowed me to get a good night's sleep despite the room changes.

First of all the location is a bit hard to find at first. It's back behind the other hotels in a business district. Nice rooms and beds, although I somehow got the retrofitted wheelchair bathroom (no tub, low mirror and plugged holes in the walls. Otherwise the flat screen was great and the snack left in the room was a nice touch. Good, safe location. Breakfast was as good as I have had in a non-cook to order location. Sometimes lacked variety or fruit. Good for the money.

The room was nice and the decor was pleasant. I liked the cards everywhere that explained the amenities in funny ways. I was a disappointed when I could not order from the kitchen at 10:50pm, even though it was open until 11pm. Free bottle of water and some free snacks in the room was a refreshing surprise! Most places nickle and dime you for those kinds of things. Loved the flat screen TV and the sitting area in my room. The gym was nice, too. Actual free weights! Not just one or two treadmills! Nice place.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Especially if you are looking for a quick and easy commute to the dc area. Literally one minute from the on-ramp. I gave the room a lower rating for comfort due to the fact of the really crappy pillows, they weren't solid enough, the would slouch down until completely flat even when you use 3 or more. The room comes with a flat screen tv, a mini fridge, coffee maker, blow dryer, and microwave. I would definitely also recommend that you ask for a room away from the elevators and ice machine or you will be up around 6. They had a very nice indoor and outdoor pool, and no one tells you when to stop swimming, room service comes around 10 am, the restocking of towels was spot on, you can physically change the temperature of the room which is pretty awesome. The neighborhood seemed pretty good and the options for meals was great, so much variety to choose from. The continental breakfast was ok, but i'm not one to complain about anything free. The restaurant attached had pretty good meal choices, but a bit pricey, and they deliver to your room. I would definitely choose to stay here again, no doubt. The customer service was great on the front desk end, but as far as all the workers and housekeepers i'm pretty sure they couldn't understand or speak english very well.

This hotel was fine, but there were a couple of minor issues. First of all, when we booked through hotels.com, it said the room had 2 doubles and a couch. We were put in a room with 2 doubles. I went to the front desk, and the very nice guy at the desk tried to help by switching to a room with a couch but it was a king bed. We really wanted the 2 doubles and couch - there were 4 of us. what we wanted didn't exist. Second thing...no big deal...but there was construction type writing on the walls facing the windows. It showed the room number and other scribbles. Kind of odd. And finally, the door closest to our room to exit to the parking lot didn't open from the outside. I called the front desk and was told that it would be fixed the day after we left. Small inconvenience but still. We stayed at the hotel to go to a concert, so it was fine for us, but I'd probably be more irritated if this was a vacation stop.

I found this hotel for an outstanding price. My daughter and I stayed 4 nights while visiting DC; while we would have enjoyed a hotel right in the city, it was not in our budget, and the commute from this hotel was not that bad. It took 20 minutes to drive to the nearest Metro station (which has parking) and about 20 minutes to get into the city center by Metro. We absolutely loved the room. The beds were comfortable, there was a spacious desk, everything was nice and clean. I also liked the fact that there were side doors leading into the building that were locked 24/7; you had to use your key to get in. Usually keys are only required during night hours. It made my daughter (a stickler for safety at hotels) feel safer at night. However, when we arrived and checked in, we immediately went exploring around the city. When we got back, our room key was not working. We inquired at the desk and they gave us some story about no one being checked into the room, but our luggage was in there, and they locked down the room until they could verify that someone was actually staying there. All I know is, it was 10:30 at night and I was tired and wanted to sleep. They fixed it right away, but it made me very angry that there was a mix-up, considering we had checked in just several hours before (and the same guy was at the desk). Another thing that made me uneasy was a rowdy tour group that was staying on our floor. We got in late one night and there seemed to be some party going on in the hallway, complete with two young teenage girls just "chillin'" right outside our room. Next time my daughter and I visit DC, we will search for another hotel, strictly because we'd like to be a little closer to the city, but if we can't find anything for a great price like this hotel, we'll definitely stay again.
