We have family on the gulf coast and this is about 1/2 way for us. Great place for the family to stop. Rooms were very clean, air was very cold, and breakfast was good. What more can a family ask for?

I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the comfort of the room. It was also very convenient to Vicksburg Military Park and the downtown area as well as I-20. The convenience of a gas station next door was also a nice surprise. The free breakfast was apprecitated also.

Deciding on a last minute detour to Vicksburg on the way back to Texas, we found the Hampton Inn was in the perfect location. Check-in was a breeze, and within five minutes we were at the battlefield. We arrived back at the hotel about 6:00, in time for evening snacks. They had soft drinks, beer and wine, cheese and crackers, chips and salsa, nibbles […] and delicious cookies.The only down side to the hotel is it's location right on the highway. This made it a little noisy, but I always bring a sound machine anyway, so not a problem for me. Read more

Hampton Inn in Vicksburg, MS, is a great place to stay. The staff of the hotel was extremely kind, gracious (good ol' Southern hospitality), and helpful. The facilities were nice and clean. Right across from the battlefield and close to downtown Vicksburg.

This was a very very good Hampton Inn. The staff were very helpful - they even offered to drive us into downtown when we ordered a taxi (one of them was going that way). The hotel is almost directly opposite the entrance to the Vicksburg civil war military park. This was very interesting, much like how Gettysburg is presented, if you've been there or […] intend to. Ps Rusty's Riverfront Grill is worth trying in downtown for somewhere casual to eat. It was recommended to us by several people and we weren't disappointed. Read more
