Overall, the stay was pleasant. Rooms were clean and modern. Nice size pool. However, during our stay the pool deck was never cleaned. What mess was there before going to bed, hadn't been touched in the morning. There were empty fallers, cans, bottles, paper,.towels etc EVERYWHERE

A bit spend considering the locale but when looking for a place to sleep - it fits the qualifications. Staff were pleasant - the breakfast in the attached restaurant are worth skipping for any local diner.

Our stay was for a youth hockey tournament. Overall the hotel was nice. We ate at the in hotel restaurant... food was good, but it took over an hour to get our food. I paid $2 for breakfast and was given a $20 voucher. Also, I had to cancel this trip and reschedule it because of getting sick. Hotels.com gave me a full refund with no penalties. Overall, I was very pleased with this entire experience.

Don't try the dining room during Monday night football. It's a local gathering spot. As a single person diner, I could not get a seat at 7:00 PM. Otherwise, clean enough and neat enough, but the value/price needs more competition at this class.

Requested main floor accomodations, received a room on second floor and had to use steps, no elevator. Also understood that room would have refrig and microwave, none was available. Main floor accomodations requested due to personal needs, to avoid steps which was made known at the time of the reservation. Availability of breakfast at our cost in the adjoining restaurant and entrance to it through the hotel was not explained at time of check in, had to figure it out for ourselves. I usually would not stay at a Holiday Inn and this stay confirmed why I wouldn't stay at one again. The hotel is stuck in the 80's. Nothing has been renovated and changed probably since the hotel opened. There is no elevator so be prepared to lift your suitcases up a full flight of stairs no matter what time you arrive. In addition I left a small tri-fold […] wallet with my jewelry in it in my hotel room and when I called a couple of hours after I left the hotel, I talked to someone in housekeeping and was told there was nothing left in my room. I only left the hotel, got into my rental car and drove to Minneapolis and realized it was missing. My jewellry wallet could not be anywhere else but in the room at the Holiday Inn. I would rather drive into Willmar from Minneapolis in the morning for another business meeting then stay at this hotel again. Read more

On check in, they had no record that I had paid for a plan that included breakfast. Fortunately I had my confirmation as a record. After we were settled in we went to the pool and after swimming for awhile ordered from the attached Green Mill restaurant. It took the girl on the phone 15 minutes to take our order. Then when the food came half of it was […] cold and soggy because they forgot to make one of the pizzas so everything else sat around while they made it. Then the server who brought us the food had an attitude and wanted us to but our own dishes back to the restaurant since we were by the pool. Then they charged us for a kids meal that was supposed to be free, didn't bring the dessert that was supposed to be included and for got to give us our 10% hotel guest discount. At breakfast the next morning the hostess sat us, asked us what we wanted to drink and prompty vanished. We had to flag someone else down after several minutes to re-order our drinks. Then when all was said and done, I found out by happenstance afterwards that the hotel double billed us for our room. I pre-paid via hotels.com, but they charged my credit card again anyway. Also, we had a poolside room and could barely sleep because the hotel did not enforce the 10:30 p.m. closing time, so there were several people at the pool quite late. And loud. The hotel was ok, the pool area was nice, and all things considered the food at Green Mill was very good. The service just stunk at all levels. Read more

Restaurant on three occasions was virtually empty. Food and service was good and prices reasonable although the menu was limited. Didn't like room facing pool area as it was necessary to walk to front entrance to see what the weather was like. The pool area was very nice .... spaceous with kiddie pool, adult pool and l-a-r-g-e hot tub. Again on two […] occasions no one else using it. Other then the bar the place seemed deserted.
