After I already paid 1 time for pet rent (which was per pet, not a flat rate like it says on the hotels.com site, and they refused to honor their ad price), they double charged me after I had checked out. This was after they called animal control and had my animals removed claiming I hadn't checked out and checked back in (which I had). "Not Pet or Hurricane-friendly"
When I first checked into the hotel, The front desk woman told me pets really aren't but that I went ahead and booked online, she "had to" allow them in, and treated me abominably about the whole situation. Immediately, I went to my hotel room and checked Hotels.com, and was able to book 2 more nights. I verified I was in the same room for the next 3 nights with the front desk clerk. I would like to state that I stayed there for 3 more nights, and a no time was the hotel booked to capacity after telling Hurricane victims that there were no available rooms. There were No complaints that my animals were barking, only that I didn't check out and check back in. My belongings were not removed from the room. My keycard worked in the door, the beds were not made, and the bathroom was not cleaned. So after removing my animals, they obviously didn't act like I had checked out. When I returned to the hotel after work, the parking lot was empty. I have been a loyal Ramada customer for over 20 years. And this is the very last time I will EVER stay at one of your hotels. This is my second time at this hotel. First time was a one day stay so it was fine. Second stay was for two days, towels and bath mat were taken out and not replaced. No coffee machine in room. "Won't go back to Galloway NJ Ramada"
I have never written one of these before and I am not that picky. My room was 431 and it had not been cleaned. The toilet seat had urine on it and there was black mold inside around the edge of the toilet. The bathroom floor had something like black soot on it. The tile floor under the sink and shelf was visible and had not been washed for some months. […] The room hadn't been vacuumed either and there was dirt/little pieces of something on the carpet. The woman at the front desk tried to be helpful and was going to give me room 440. But that room smelled something had been burning in there. The window didn't open to air it out. The bed had a lumpy comforter with a duvet cover. There was no top sheet and the weather was too warm for that. And I had already seen such filth in the other room, it made me wonder when the duvet cover had been changed last. Also the wall paper on a third of one wall was falling down. I ended up staying in the filthy room rather than the stinky room. The hotel was full and the breakfast was only staffed by one person and so he couldn't keep up. I found out that the hotel had cut back on employees' hours and they couldn't keep up with all the work and that the hotel management considered this to be off season and yet the hotel was full. The grounds were not well maintained, and the room had issues as well -- one light was out, the phone had been unplugged and not reconnected, the shower head leaked, neither the door nor the window closed easily.
