The room was decent for the price we paid to stay one night. The only complaint would have to be the water pressure in the shower. The hotel was clean and the restaurant bar was alot of fun.

The fact that it implied that it was downtown on the riverfront was misleading. It was on the river, but the other side was on the highway, and that was the side we were on. It was definitely NOT downtown. For this trip that was fine, but for another trip where we might be looking for the downtown experience where we can walk to restaurants, we would choose something else. However, it was a great deal, and the continental breakfast that was included was very good. Overall we were satisfied.

The heating/cooling unit was broken and there's no fan in the bathroom so everything gets fogged up when taking a shower.

Hotel restaurant service was very nice. Bed was very comfortable. Small workout space and a bit muggy- next to pool.But appreciated having it available.

The slow draining sink was the only problem encountered. They gave us a coupon good for a continental breakfast (cold side of the buffet) but decided to have the total buffet (warm items) and paid only half the price they would charge. Grand Rapids has many good restaurants to eat at.

Price ok, service good-but king room means a king bed not a bigger room. No comment cards and could have left some remarks about the burnt food in the restaurant and cramped size of the room and the non-draining tub and cleanliness issues.

1. the hotel had a sleep number bed with two adjustable sides .. wonderful.. follow the easy to read card and you will have no issues setting up the bed for newbie's .. 2. the bar's kitchen stayed open till 11pm which was great.. i was able to eat my very late dinner and listen to a live band till about 12:30am... the restaurant used the same kitchen but they close when their kitchen does.. the french toast for breakfast was wonderful..(not actually on the menu but was on the breakfast buffet... but they had no issues cooking them as a solo entree and charged a very reasonable price for them) 3. the river view is just awesome... we found our selves easily relaxed looking over the river... ps.. make sure you take out your dont disturb card out early enough.. they never got back to service our room.. but happily gave us new towels...

The hotel bar had some excellent entertainment. They had a live band that started around 5 pm and continued right into Karaoke well into the night. From talking to people who work there, the vast majority of the people in the bar were local regulars....great atmosphere. This was also my 1st run in with a Sleep Number Bed. I personally really enjoyed my bed.

The hotel 'is not' located in downtown Grand Rapids, as advertised and is not walking distance to anything except a blighted local liquor store with indigent patrons with food stamps. The hotel is very tired. The elevators are super slow and fitness center smells like mold. The bathroom was grimy and the window HVAC unit blows right in your face as you try and work from the desk. The beds are old "select a number" comfort matresses that are worse than a old air mattress.

Upon arrival in our room, I noticed the lights between the beds did not work. I tried to call the front desk and the phone did not work. I walked to the front desk to inform them and they said they would take care of it right away. When we returned that evening nothing was fixed. I then went to the front desk in the morning and advised them gain.

Nothing fancy but we enjoyed our stay. We stayed 2 nights and pretty much had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. Location was nice. Had a short drive to Van Andel Arena for a hockey game on Friday night and only a few minutes away from shopping on Alpine Ave. on Saturday. Would stay there again.

Overall, the hotel was pretty nice and easy to find. We got a "river view", but it was more like a view of the restaurant rooftop and some trees. The bathroom was a little small and the shower liner needed to be replaced. But, I think we would stay there again.

It's nothing super fancy but if you are looking for a decent place to stay for a night or two I would definitely recommend it. My fiance and I went out for a night and when we came back there was live entertainment at the bar in the hotel, which was convenient and fun. The beds are sleep number beds and are amazing and comfortable.

Overall it was a great stay...The only draw back would of been that they didn't offer a continetal breakfast in the morning, or just hot coffee would of been nice...refreshment throghout the day. The pool was very nice a quiet...also at night we could open the sliders that went out to the patio and listen to the band that was playing in the bar, but we didn't have to go into the bar. We plan to stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently placed off an exit. Anywhere in the greater Grand Rapids area is quick to get to. The front desk clerk was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. I'b definately stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We had a blast at their patio party! The food was excellent in the lounge and the bed was AH-MAZ-ING! The only complaint I had was the air conditioner was very loud when it kicked on in the room, and woke us up every time, but other than that, it was great.

Great beds, fun bar, decent restaurant, good freeway access, nice pool. Room had mildew smell and leaky toilet. Neighborhood was perfect if heading north, but not good if you were looking to walk around and see sites. Super nice staff, and the Sleep Number beds are awesome. Can't beat the price, so the downsides were mitigated by the cheap price and great beds.
