FairBridge Inn & Suites - Jonesboro

The pics on the site were not taken at this hotel. Call hotel before you go restaurant and bar still being built, only have breakfast on weekend and hot tub under construction. Jacuzzi tub on pictures only exist in 2 rooms. We were not happy and will not stay here again.

This was Jonesboro's finest hotel at one point. However it is no longer the Holiday Inn and the quality and service are not what they once were. Our room was comfortable and clean, but I fear it will not remain that way. Our first day there our room was not cleaned. The indoor pool was dirty and had way too much chlorine. The age of this hotel is beginning to show and I fear it will only get worse with the lack of service and care it is getting from the new owner/management. This is extremely sad to me - there was a day when mother in law worked here that getting a room was not cheap and it was a treat to stay here. The restaurant has been closed. The room was GREAT...the pool was GREAT...was disappointed the hot tub was not working..Circled the area 3 times and never could find motel, so ended up calling to find out that we were setting in parking lot, but motel had "holiday inn" signs instead of Fairfield Inn. This was a Holiday Inn Express that was being renovated. They did not have their signs changed to Fairbridge therefore, we drove around for 1/2 hr trying to locate Fairbridge Inn. It wasn't until I called and asked the second time that I finally realized, it was the Holiday Inn Express. We were put into a room that wasn't the cleanest. The toliet had […] mold streaks and the sink still had soap scum. The remote for the TV was dead and there wasn't an outlet to plug the refrig in. I asked to be moved. They did accommodate. Sometimes I believe that if you book through Motels.com, they do not put you in the best room. There was no complimentary breakfast and there was no restaurant attached to the motel. The room was adequate, but the bathroom shower area had mold growing in the seams of the shower and the ceiling where it looked like water had leaked from the room above. Trucks were allowed to park in the auto parking lot when there were plenty of truck parking spaces. Pool was cold and sauna was broken. Room needed repairs. #143 tub, exhaust vent and heat/air.

We planned to check in in the early afternoon but didn't check in until after midnight. I called the hotel to make sure we had late check in. They were very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable but the hotel is older and has some rooms that have doors opening to the outside.

Didnt like that my room was outside and had to run from the pool to the room and about froze. The breakfast was awful very cold and tasteless. I had bought my hotel room with the breakfast but had to pay for our apple juice.

Was disappointed that the fitness room was closed (pool was closed as well), only option was to use another center (nearby - walking distance) but the hours available were not convenient (only able to use other fitness center 9am through 5pm) Most guests would want to work out in the morning before 9am or in the evenings.

Hotel is nice, overall my wife and I had a great stay. The only thing not mentioned is there are rooms that open to the exterior and interior, and we thought they were all interior. So you might want to tell the front desk which you prefer. Also the fridge in the room is not your typical mini, but a dorm room size which is great for space, but loud […] when running at night. The a/c is also central not your typical window unit. Which is great in coldness of air, but if you sleep with a fan on at night you might want to bring your own box fan because the central a/c only blows when cooling and will turn off and on during the night like normal. The only real complaint we had was when trying to enter a side door at night to the vending machine area the card pad did not work, so I had to walk all the way to the main entry way to gain access to the building. Although the hotel looks old from the outside, the room I stayed in was in great condition. The room was very clean, the beds were so comfortable (not rock hard like most), and it had a Keurig coffee maker. It felt like a room at a Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn. I checked out before breakfast was served. For me the room was the best part!

Let me start by saying that I have never had a poor experience at a Holiday Inn that I can think of and I was left very disappointed by the quality of this hotel. We went to get settled into our room and when we opened the door it had an overwhelming mildew smell. The source was a wet mushy area of carpet outside the bathroom. I called the front desk, […] gave them our room number and they said they would send maintenance up right away to check on it. 30 minutes went by before I called the front desk again and was informed that they didn't know what room we were in and waited on me to call back before sending anyone. 30 minutes later a staff members came with new room keys for us. We thanked him and switched rooms. We were satisfied but the room was warm so we turned on the A/C and went to dinner. We get back in the room and it is still in the upper 70s even with the A/C on constantly. We just dealt with it. Next Night- The room is still in the upper 70s, and we noticed blood on the comforter of the bed 2 of us were sharing! It was near the head of the bed and we hadn't noticed it earlier. Neither of us were on our periods, had a bloody nose, or had anything! Called the front desk again and they apologized sent a replacement. I am glad that they tried to fix the problems that we told them about but overall I was upset with the quality of our stay and cleanliness of BOTH of the rooms we were placed into. Read more
