Towson Place Hotel & Suites - Towson

After reading many reviews, I was concerned that maybe I had made a poor choice in hotels. I was pleasantly surprised. Check-in was easy and our room was recently remodeled. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool, although not large, served our purpose. The complimentary breakfast each morning was tasty and convenient. My son is attending Towson University and this hotel is very close to the college. I'm sure I will stay at this hotel in the future.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. However, the rooms are well maintained and will be very attractive when the project is complete. The only disappointment during our stay were that the pay-per-view movies were not available although advertised and the complimentary breakfast was not always available during the stated hours. We are attributing the disruption to these services that are usually provided to the renovation project. Therefore, we will definitely stay at this hotel again for future get-away weekends.

Everything was as stated in the hotel information given, even better. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The location was just five miles from where I had to be with lots of places of interest along the way. I will stay at the Towson Place whenever I visit my family.

The lobby was being renovated with no regard for hotel guests. Equipment and materials strewn about, yellow tape everywhere. We get to the old fashioned room and it stunk from cigarettes and mold. I asked to change rooms and got a non-smoking room (why didn't she give me the better room in the first place!?) and a newly, but cheaply, renovated bathroom. We slept there one night, then got the hell out of there and stayed at a very nice Sheraton (with an indoor pool) in Towson for the rest of our stay. Others in our group left as well, and I know of at least one other who got comped a night for the horrid conditions. You are CRAZY if you stay here until they can prove they have the interests of the customer at heart. I heard it's going to be a Best Western. It's just an old, musty, disgusting hotel. Save your money and your sanity. Don't stay here.

It is more than what I expected. It was a very pleasant stay, and I am looking foward to going back there.

This hotel is under renovation. It is a mess. There was no water. The staff was really courteous and efficient. They have no control over the current state of the hotel.

The hotel was reasonably priced, the desk people were very nice and helpful and explained that they were in the process of re-modeling (which included the room we were to stay in). Based on what I saw, they really needed to remodel. The cleaning service was very slow and we needed to ask for towels on several occasions because they had not yet been to our room when we returned in the afternoon (not a show stopper for us though). Once the remodeling is done, I would come back because the location was ideal for our weekend activities.

The staff was nice, hotel is under renovation...once done, it should look real nice. I enjoyed my stay.

This was one of my favorite places to stay in Baltimore. The people were very friendly, the hotel was clean, and the location was convenient. I would highly recommend this stay!!!

Close to main highways and shopping. Undergoing refurbishing.

We were disappointed to arrive and find the hotel in the middle of being remodeled. Our closet and coat hangers were covered in dust. We asked the front desk and housekeeping to replace a missing light bulb in our bathroom but it was never done during our 3 night stay. The lobby flooded and my husband had to hop over a puddle. The complimentary breakfast was good on the first day but went downhill after that.

Had 2 TV's but NO REMOTES! Ask at desk, was told none available, which is hard to believe-no other rooms either with remotes? Said my TV's were new, they WEREN't, that was who no remotes. One bedside light NEVER went on, one after 5 minutes of trying, plus maintenance man. Room pitch dark. Surface of counter and chest dirty. Breakfast OK but mostly workers, room a mess. Realize you are renovating, but dirt patches all over rugs Wish you luck!

My wife and I were attending a funeral just inside 695 on York Rd. The hotel location was very convenient, only about a 5 minute drive away. Also, most any shopping you might need is nearby on Joppa Rd. The price was reasonable (for Towson) and the hotel was very clean. Signs indicated they were undergoing renovation but we had no noise or dust, etc. I believe we were in a completed area as almost everything looked new. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. Given the horror stories (and bad reviews) for some of the chain hotels in the area, this place was well worth a few extra $$.

Easy access ,easy to drive to, centrally located to all our needs. Hotel staff friendly and very professional.

The hotel was clean and in a good location for Baltimore. The rates were very reasonable and the staff was friendly. Our room was spacious but the bathroom needed updating. The faucet leaked when you turned on the water and the counter top was cracked. The continental breakfast had much to be desired. The room was dark and unattractive and the food was not very good. We got some coffee and went else where for food. Overall, for the price it was worth it even without breakfast.
