"Nice hotel close to all the FUN"
We arrived at the hotel early and was told our room was not ready which we expected. We did check-in and left a cell phone number as they said they would notify us when it was ready. Left the luggage with them and went to enjoy New Orleans. They did contact us before the normal check-in time. When we got out the elevator a guest said I hope you bought […] ear plugs...... The hotel was being renovated and the sound of hammering from power tools was LOUD. Thankfully it stopped around 5pm and did not start early. There were still 2 rooms being worked on on our floor plus all the floor below and this made the carpets dirty. We were not told about using a room key to make the elevators work not the password for the Internet. But to location of the Hotel is terrific, close to everything but far enough away to get a quiet nights sleep. Very comfortable room. Bed and linens were very good. This hotel was wretched. The lobby on the 10 floor consisted of a few card tables in a hallway. We were sent up to the 18th floor and told to cross over to the 19th floor. The entire 18th floor was abandoned, with plastic sheets hanging down that we had to walk through. I went the wrong way and I saw that every room door was wide open, dark, and look […] as though it was being "aired out.' The Shining was never this scary. When we finally made to our room it had a "lived in" air about it with a carpet that said, "probably best to keep your shoes on." I suppose the flat screen on the wall was to distract us from noticing there was no bedspread in a room that was a chilly 60 degrees. "Reservations are getting messed up"

We arrived smack-dab in the middle of them renovating the whole hotel. Paint fumes galore. The lobby wasn't even operational and had to go upstairs to the 10th floor to a make-shift lobby. Check-in seemed to take a while and it wasn't a smooth process. The ice machine and soda machine were non-operational. The room was freshly renovated and was clean, […] but some of the outlets didn't work, and when we tried to reach the front desk to tell them that we needed toilet paper, they could not be reached. Not up to my expectations for a Wyndham. They were under significant renovations in the lobby area so we had to go to the 10th floor for checkin. Price was good for midweek and had a free parking promotion. If you plan on going out and driving, this is a good hotel. Parking is in the hotel. The service was very bad. The front desk attendant could not find our reservation. They seemed put out by us for their inability to find the reservation. I went out the door to the car to grab the confirmation number (was gone less than a minute) and they decided to help another guest while I waited for an extended amount of time.
