Because the front is being remodeled, it was a little hard to find on our first pass. Despite the lobby being under construction, the hotel was nice. We were able to leave the car parked at the hotel after we checked out which saved us parking, and worry about someone breaking into it while we were shopping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is undergoing renovations. Staff responded quickly and fixed shower problem (no cold water), Problem was discovered after 9:00 pm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was happy with the room, staff and the location. Only negative thing I can think of is the construction in the lobbyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Bad Service"
The service was very bad. The front desk attendant could not find our reservation. They seemed put out by us for their inability to find the reservation. I went out the door to the car to grab the confirmation number (was gone less than a minute) and they decided to help another guest while I waited for an extended amount of time. Once they finally […] found our reservation we attempted to park in the parking garage but it was full. They ended up parking us on an enterior wall of the garage. Once in the room we realized that the front desk failed to give us a parking pass for our vehicle window. I went back down to retrieve it and back to the vehicle to place it in the window. After around an hour debacle we were in our room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Dog deposit NON REFUNDABLE?!"
To my dismay, when I checked out of the hotel, I was charged $100 for a dog deposit, which until that time I had been led to believe was refundsble since the Hotels.com description of the hotel didn't specify "NON-REFUNDABLE."Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Room was old, elevators did not work, and it took over 2 hours to check in after guaranteed check in time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
THIS HOTEL NEEDS NEW FRONT DESK PERSONELL!!! THEY ARE RUDE AND NEED EXTENSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING. AN HOUR TO CHECK IN, KEYS TO ELEVATOR DID NOT WORK, KEYS TO ROOM DID NOT WORK AND ONLY ONE OF 3 ELEVATORS WORKED. MANAGER WAS NICE AND TRIED BUT IT THE FRONT DESK WOULD HAVE ALTEAST APPOLIZED FOR THE LONG WAIT TIME OR KEY ISSUES THAT WOULD HAVE GONE […] ALONG WAY WITH THE CUSTOMER..... NONE WAS OFFERED BY THEM!!! I STOPPED COMING HERE WHEN IT WAS HOLIDAY INN BECAUSE OF THIS BEHVAIOR... LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE THE SAME STAFF AND I WILL MIGHT TRY ONE MORE TIME BUT IT DOES NOT DRASTICLY CHANGE I WILL GO BACK DOWN THE STREET TO THE MARRIOTT OR THE ROYAL WHERE THEY ALWAYS TREATED US A VALUED GUEST. "Speed it up..!!.!!"
Me and my wife stayed here for one night for the Jay-Z and Beyoncè concery. The lobby was packed full with people checking in. It took over an hour standing in line to finally get to the counter. (Didn't stand in lines at Disney World that long) The rooms were nice. No complaints until the next morning and all you hear is loud drilling sound from some […] work being done on the hotel. Then when trying to leave for check out it took forever to catch an elevator to the lobby. Elevators would go to the higher floors and about time they got down to our floor (11) it's full. Tip for if you find yourself in this situation, take the elevator up and then ride it back down. You'll stop at every floor but when you get back to the floor you were on you'll see the same people that were waiting with you and they're still waiting. Finally get to the lobby and you guessed it ...... full again. Didn't take near as long this time thankfully. Location of the hotel is great if you plan on being on Bourbon drinking hand grenade(s). The short walk one road over can save on a taxi or a long walk down Canal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"LONG WAIT TIMES!"
Stayed here on an average NOLA weekend -- no big conventions or festivals in town. Still had to wait in line, standing, more than an hour to check in! Others in line had been back to check in 3 or 4 times, and were told to return because their room wasn't ready. Desk clerks were pleasant, but were very, very slow (don't know if it was the computer or […] them), and they handed out Wyndam fans because it was so hot in the lobby. No explanation was given. There are only 3 tiny elevators for this 18 story building, so we spent a ton of time waiting for an elevator as well. Room was clean and beds were comfy--but just average. No breakfast. All in all, I would stay somewhere else that was less expensive, with better service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was great minus the long wait for check-in!!! It took about 2 hours to get into our room! After that disaster, everything went smoothly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Over 1 hour standing in line to check in. We were only staying for two nights but Maid never came to clean our room. Had to call for toilet paper and towels. The location is great and one street over from Bourbon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We just stopped in for the weekend on our way home from Florida and it was perfect! One block from Bourbon street and close to all the local places in the French Quarter. The restaurant tied to it "The Old Saint" had excellent top notch food and over 50 beers on tap. The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was super nice and clean. Indifferent staff, dirty outdated room, overpriced, stay somewhere else in the QuarterGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel service was lousy, longest check in I ever experienced and I had to do it twice because after the 2nd of a 3 day stay I some how was checked out. Location is awesome. Super clean room. Had the deluxe room. Seems its under renovation but floor 19 was renovated. Pool was awesome and indoors with awesome view. Parking was convenient. Easy to find. Best location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I would recommend!"
Overall, the hotel was fine. A couple comments: the staff was not overly friendly, which I attribute to the close proximity to Bourbon street. Some education in hospitality management would be helpful. Staff refused to help us microwave our leftovers. Having a common atea microwave that guests could would be nice. Lots of transients right in front of […] the hotel was a distraction. Room service staff was very poorly trained. But overall, I would recommend the hotel due to very large guest rooms, and close walking distance to attractions. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Wyndham New Orleans French Quarter was the Best Hotel to stay at.Genuine Expedia guest review
We decided at last minute to stop by New Orleans and take a look around. This hotel accommodated us for an overnight stay. As soon as we drove up, Cleaveland was the first to greet us and made all my family feel very welcomed putting them at ease on our decision to come to New Orleans. All of the hotel staff were nice and friendly. This hotel is a little […] dated but was comfortable, affordable and located a block from Bourbon St. The hotel was satisfactory and we were even allowed to stay parked until 2pm the next day, enough time to check out, grab some breakfast and sightsee a few more hours before continuing on our journey. "Outstanding Staff and Great Location"
This hotel has an outstanding and accommodating staff. Any issues they were immediately on it. It is a 2 block walk to bourbon street, restaurants, bars and convenient to get in/out of the quarter. "Perfect French Quarter location"
Great location in French Quarter...few blocks from Bourbon and short walk to Jackson Square so enjoyed the beauty of the Quarter without the all-night party noise. Excellent value for the location and room type. In addition, had a coupon for free parking included with hotels.com booking (parking is usually $20-30 per night) with parking garage attached […] to hotel (which is not always the case in New Orleans). Room was recently remodeled...very clean and comfortable bed. Nothing fancy but very comfortable and quiet which is rare in a lot of N.O. hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with our room when we returned after an evening out and when contacted the staff moved us to another room within ten minutes. "Okay for college students visiting NOLA"
My wife and I visited NOLA for our anniversary. We were on a budget, but we had a particular range that we were comfortable with spending per night at a hotel in the French Quarter. Initially the Wyndham seemed to have that unique New Orleans flair and was conveniently located. We were notified by the woman at the front desk that the hotel was under […] renovation, and that we may hear some work being done during the day hours. We shrugged it off and hopped on the elevator. We were on the 19th floor, which was confusing because the elevator only went up to 18. We exited on the 18th floor and found a separate elevator that took us to our floor. Rooms have wall mounted AC units and separate thermostats to control them, if needed. The AC placement itself is often times questionable. Ours was right near the head of our bed, which meant that we had to constantly turn it on and off in the middle of the night. My aunt and uncle were also staying at the hotel, and they had a two room suite with the AC in one of the two rooms, which meant that their bedroom area was constantly hot, unless they turned their sitting area into an arctic tundra. Additionally, because of the price and location, this hotel is primarily used for college students partying. We were woken up several times at five in the morning by drunken shenanigans out in the hall. We found other hotels in the same area/price range with fewer issues than the Wyndham, and will probably stay at one the next time we visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired."
Had to wait over an hour to check in to my room since housekeeping hadn't yet cleaned the rooms. There were seven other couples in the same position, ahead of us, who couldn't check in. There seemed to be an overall lack of urgency by the staff. The nice lady at the desk was apologetic, but apologies don't clean the rooms. On the second day, I wanted […] to relax for about an hour before heading back out. I thought that, surely my room would have been cleaned by 3:30 in the afternoon--not so. I saw the cleaning carts in the hall, so I decided to forego my rest break, so housekeeping could service my room. Upon returning to the room at 10:00, I wanted to finally relax. However, housekeeping didn't leave washcloths, and took all the soap out of the room. Upon calling the front desk twice (I gave up the first time after letting it ring about ten times), the gentleman that answered said he'd send someone right up with the items. After waiting 20 minutes, I walked to the desk, myself, and was told that housekeeping had to bring them. GREAT. After another 10 minutes, a young lady brought them. No apology. She just pushed them at me and walked away. Wow. Then, I thought that there was no sheet on the bed because it was tucked under the top end just like a fitted sheet. I asked for a sheet. This gentleman from housekeeping was apologetic. Upon remaking the bed, I discovered that the sheet was there--just hidden. Finally, I could try to relax. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Motel with a Wyndham label attached"
The hotel room themselves are very similar to what you would find in a motel from the smell to the cleanliness of the room.
