Great place to stay if visiting Bourbon Street, Jefferson Square, Canal or Royal. The staff is very friendly and helpful! We had a great stay. We never had any issues getting an elevator. Our room was big and comfortable.

We spent one night at the Wyndham on Royal. We arrived tired after a 15 hour, overnight drive. We were eager to shower and refresh ourselves, and the hotel let us check in 5 hours early without any additional charge. The room was large, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet considering we were located very closely to both Bourbon and Canal. The location was convenient. Our car was parked until we checked out because we were within walking distance of the most popular streets and attractions. My only complaints would be concierge and the elevator. The concierge tried to talk us into sitting through a 90 minute seminar about Wyndham resorts in order to get free tour tickets. Seemed like a sham. The elevators, as mentioned in many other reviews, were sort of a pain. There were 4 elevators, but a couple may have been out of service. They were very small and it took a long time to get an elevator to our room, which was on the 15th floor.

Well sometime in the middle of the night water was shut off, and in the morning water was leaking in the bathroom from two different locations. When the water came back tube was brown from residue in the pipes when the water was turn back on.

Hotel, however we were celebrating our 62nd anniversary and the flowers that were sent by Janet Tallerine and Paige Rabalais were signed for by an employee and stolen. How disappointed we were and the senders also. What a disappointment.

I'm not sure if all four elevators where in service but the elevators where very slow. So it was very frustrating to spend at least 10 - 15 mins. trying to get to the room or leaving the hotel. And it was even worst at right before check out time.

Everything at the hotel was very good except the elevator service. Elevators were slow to get to floors and were frequently overcroweded or so crowded that we had to wait for other elevators.

Perfect hotel for the weekend. We had a mild drain problem but the engineer was literally at our room within 3 mins of reporting it. Reginald at the front desk was accommodating to our room request and even granted a later check out. And Ms.Natividad (spell check) in valet parking was so nice, friendly and bright- which especially helped during the rain storm. The male valet parking staffs were also fast and polite.

It was a good stay. Great location. A little crazy getting there because of the one-way street but once you do it once you pretty much know. Overpriced for guest who have a car. We shouldn't have to pay the same rate to park our car as people who just want to use the parking the garage who aren't guest. The room attendant forgot to give us a fresh roll of toilet paper for 2 days...not cool when you have more than 2 people staying in one room. Rooms were a bit tiny but not a big problem because who comes to NOLA to spend all day in a hotel. Overall pretty good hotel but still a little pricey for what you get. We ran across a couple of hotels that were a little further down off of St.Charles that might have been a better fit for us. But hey at least we were a clock from canal and a block for bourbon and a little less than a mile from the French market and Jackson Square.

Amy checked us in. She was GREAT! We had a courtyard room which was nice, but if you want darkness, this is not the room for you. The door to the courtyard is frosted glass. Even though the elevator stopped on the floor you still had to go down about ten stairs to get to the room. The room was very very nice, comfortable and clean. Great location!

I was seeking a luxury hotel based upon the amount of money I paid for two nights. The TV didn't work, there wasn't any plastic bags in the wastebasket, and the stopper to the bathroom sink didn't work. On top of all of that, the printer in the business center didn't work either. Overall, I give this hotel 2 stars.

My room phone wouldn't stop ringing at 3AM Waking me up. No one seemed to be on the other end. Someone entered my room uninvited at 9AM in the morning. I nearly shot them as the scampered away.

Turning back the sheets we found small black flecks. Wondered if the sheets had been changed from the last from the last customer! There was a pill still on the floor near the desk. Did the room really get cleaned??? I needed to call the desk after checking out for a lost credit card. I was put on hold and the call was never completed. I called back; the same person answered and apologized the she was "busy" and just didn't get back with me. She checked on the credit card and finally called back about 4 hours later.

Wyndham should remove themselves from the discount sites. They are horrible with customer service if you booked through a discount carrier and they find you their absolute worst room. The room we stayed in was located at the back of a dark hallway by the hotel staff break room and supplies. They were loud at all hours slamming doors and dropping things. The room had an awkward layout. We ordered room service the first night we arrived, and the tray with rotting food stayed in the hallway for three days and was still there when we checked out.

Internet / wifi was terrible. First could not get logged on. Took several attempts and calls to front desk. Second, up/down speed was worse than anything I have experienced in past five years. Could not use the internet for anything. A great connection is 300 mbps, a good connection is 150 mbps, yours at Wyndam was 30 mbps.

The location of the hotel is extremely convenient. We stayed here for three nights. It took walks around French quarter, when we tired it was a easy walk back. The internet speed was good. We were able to watch content on Netflix in the evening without interruptions. The bathrooms seemed recently renovated but a little small. We were also able to keep our luggage with them after we checked out till the evening that day.

I was happy to be able to stay in the French Quarter during Mardi Gras and the day before my cruise out of New Orleans! They were very kind to wave the early check-in fee because of Mardi Gras so I got my room that morning!

Clean and comfortable rooms and perfect location to explore the French Quarters. Didn't like that you had to pay 35.00 to park at the hotels own parking lot. And that the parking lot was open to the general public to use. If they are going to charge guest and have it open to public. Then they at least should give the guest a discounted rate.

The elevator didn't work upon arrival and we had to walk up 17 flights of stairs. The hotel staff was not all that friendly. You could hear the partying on the street on Saturday night even from 17 floors up. The room was clean and comfortable.

The room was nice and staff bent over backwards to help, that being said, four elevators and while we were there two worked ok the third finally was fixed and the forth was still out when we left. At times there was a line to use the elevators, we were on the 15th floor so we had to wait for them. $35/night for off street parking that you will gladly pay to keep your car secure so expect that added cost. I would try them again IF I ever go back.

Yes, there are other hotels to stay at in NOLA. However, the price and location was a value! The beds were super comfortable and the room was very clean. The downside is that it a poplar spot, so the rooms and conditions of the hotel could use some updating. The staff was nothing but wonderful with us and really went up and beyond to ensure our stay was a wonderful one!
