"Nice hotel, two Metro stops from the Zoo."
The room was clean, the ambience was quiet, it was a short walk to the Metro, there were places to eat near-by, and convenient to University of DC if you have business there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good option for groups"
Good option for friends traveling in groups. They have several room options with multiple beds and reasonable rates for the facilities provided.might get pricy if u look for a single person room. They have free morning coffee.. But no breakfast..would have preferred a breakfast option..especially since none of the places nearby open early. Rooms have […] basic facilities.. So-so cleanliness..nothing great. The WiFi is bit slow..but manageable and gets basic information work done.did not try a free computer and printer in the lobby. Location is a quick walk from the metro station and a short ride to the metro center station in downtown, which is a good +. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"hotel close to the metro station"
This hotel was close to the metro 2minutes walk and near restaurants, starbucks , a Giant if you needed food. The area was very safe and clean, we had no complaints. The room was clean enough space for us two and it had coffee and tea free in the room. For two nights it was great value for money, I would go back there for a week end no problems. You […] have to pay for the parking but around 20.00$ per night is not a problem. Would recommend it to people although I am fussy I didn't have anything negative to say. "Cheap but not worth it"
I didn't expect much from this hotel considering the price. I only wanted a place to sleep and shower. However I couldn't sleep all night because the pipes kept making a horrible banging noise and when I finally gave up and went to take a shower there was no hot water. I called the desk and they said to let it run, sometimes it takes a while for the […] hot water to start. I let it run for 20 minutes and it was still freezing cold. When I checked out I again spoke with the receptionist and her only response was "I don't know what to tell you." I went to work exhausted and unbathed. Not worth even the cheap price. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would definitely stay again. I just didn't understand why I had to pay for a parking spot at the hotel....I've stayed in many, many hotels and motels and parking is a given. Aside from that my stay was very pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Recently we were staying at the Days Inn on Connecticut Avenue due to a family emergency. It was a convenient location, the hotel was neat and clean-and the staff was professional as well as extremely helpful. In this emergency the people connection (staff) made a positive difference in our stay; especially a desk employee named Keva.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's an old hotel, but nice nonetheless. A nice, quiet space in a busy city. It's clean and feels safe, and effort was put into appearance and service. Reception staff was extremely nice and helpful. Free wifi was included, which is awesome and I don't understand why you can get free wifi at a $60/night Days' Inn and not at the Hilton. We only stayed […] for one night, but were perfectly content with our stay. Parking was expensive, but that's DC for you. At least it was convenient. Certainly recommended for a short trip, unless you expect a pool and chocolates on your pillow. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"totally decent place to stay on the cheap"
A nervous attendant checked me in, kindly watched my bags as I went back to my car to put the parking pass in the window. Upon return I enjoyed some complimentary tea. My view overlooked a demolition site that I'm sure will quickly be turned into a bland condo or chain drug store. The bed was decent, bathroom small and the pillows useless, but all in […] all the place meet my expectations for the cost. It was clean enough and I had enough control over the temperature to be comfortable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Classic Days Inn with costly parking"
This place is exactly what you expect from Days Inn. It is a 3rd world hotel chain mostly focused on price. Everyone was friendly enough, room was clean enough and safe enough. The overall effect is a bit depressing, reminders everywhere that this is a budget hotel. All ok, except this Days Inn has a ~50% upcharge for parking.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A so-so hotel with convenient transportation"
nothing good except for transportation to subway - 5-min walkGenuine Expedia guest review
People at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, specially after leaving another hotel in the same area due to it's awful conditions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Acceptable for the area"
I've stayed here 4 or 5 times. The rooms are fine and the TV has a decent selection, but there tend to be minor annoyances. On this visit, the bathtub was very slow to drain and a couple electrical outlets gave us trouble. The best reason to stay here is that the price is very reasonable for the location. It's near a Metro stop in a very nice area. […] There aren't a lot of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but there is a nice little Italian place across the street, a fast food place next door and a large supermarket less than a block away. You don't need a car when you visit D.C. especially if you stay in a neighborhood with a Metro stop, like this one. But if you drive, be aware that parking on the street in this area is very difficult, in the daytime or at night, unless you can borrow a resident's visitor parking permit. That's why you have to pay an extra $20 to use the Days Inn guest parking lot every night you stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Car fee, but sill a pleasant"
The Days Inn Washington DC/Connecticut Avenue is nice hotel and it's reasonably priced, however there is a $20 fee to park your car. Just remember this because you'll need to factor that in to the cost of your room. We were happy to pay $80 for a room, but the $20 car fee obviously pushed that up to $100 a night. It's extremely close to the metro and […] city (a plus). The food stores nearby are excellent. There is free coffee and newspapers in the lobby, but there's no milk for the coffee, only powdered "creamers". Yuk! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I stayed one night and it was very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For the cost of this hotel do yourself a favor and find something better. the description states that there is room service - there isn't. There are no food facilities at all. Wasn't happy with the front desk customer service either.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Hotel Make Sure About Your CCard Hold"
The hotel itself is fine - freshly renovated it seems. Not as comfy as a Marriot, but still good. No food in hotel, not much nearby, but options are "ok". A good by for a night or two and a great alternative to downtown expensive DC hotels. Near the train line. Be prepared to follow up aggressively about the $50 per room HOLD FEE on your debit or credit […] card. This is customary but the amount and the fact that 4 days after I had left they had not released the hold for my 3 rooms! Stay on them! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good value for the price"
Unbeatable price for the district. Bed was really comfortable. Super safe neighborhood. It was a little beat up in the bathroom, but relatively clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"very 'thin' walls..."
The walls between rooms are very thin. Hearing the tv and conversations in the adjoining room was a constant annoyance. Hotel staff was accommodating and moved my room but even thought the people the new adjoining room were quite, I could still hear them.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent place to stay if you don't have a car to park. $20/day plus tax for a crummy garage that is not that conveniently accessible was a surprise worthy of me not booking any extra nightsGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great accommodation and convenient"
Close to the metro; great services in surrounding area. We spent most of our time out-and-about in DC, but found our room to be a great place to retun at the end of the day to rejuvenate for the next day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Adequate and good value"
Good value hotel. No frills. Not enough electrical outlets and dated decor. But adequate for us to spend the night while visiting family in the neighborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I chose Days Inn because it was walking distance from my daughter's house, but it is very conveniently located and for the price I'd definitely recommend folks staying here and using the Metro to get around. The staff was very helpful and they got us an affordable cab to Reagan early on a Saturday.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel service for guests at the front desk was "selective", and let's leave it at that. Nothing great to eat nearby, but not far from the VanNess UDC Metro.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice bargain"
I liked the hotel. It is clean and the service is good. The location is nice. Close to a metro station and some eating options around as well. Internet is free- big plus! Only two issues that I had- the bed is a little too high and in the room there is just one chair to sit in. Other than that- I would definitely recommend the place!Genuine Expedia guest review
I had stayed here before but must have had a better room last time. While there were no major issues, there were a number of little annoyances that added up over the course of my stay - bathroom door that didn't quite open (or close easily), outlets that didn't work, TV that wasn't plugged in, no alarm clock etc etc. Staff was very helpful when these […] were brought to their attention, but it left a bad taste. First of all, the carpet was very dirty, the TV didn't work, and there was a really weird smell in my room. The hotel in general was just dirty! I entered my room and the smell was just disgusting! I flipped one pillows and i saw two BED BUGS crawling around. I flipped the covers and saw another one, i didn't even sit on the bed. I talked to the front […] desk and they moved me to a different room, which was just as dusty and dirty. I inspected the bed and didn't find any BED BUGS, so i was able to sleep for about 3 hours. "Hotel is a bargain in this area of DC."
Hotel is a basic clean sleeping room place. It seems to cater to groups of younger tourists and is located in an area with mostly fast food restaurants. You have to go to the Cleveland Park Metro stop to get much choice in eateries. About two blocks from UDC-Van Ness Metro stop on the red line. Desk staff informs you that they charge 50 dollars to your […] credit card, even if you have a prepaid reservation and 'refund' it to you after you leave with no damage to the room. No breakfast included at this Days Inn either. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Decent hotel at a decent location"
Decent hotel at a decent location. Just to emphasize some aspects listed: no refrigerator in room, extra costs for parking but other hotels do the same (and taxes on top of it), no complimentary breakfast (but there is a BK steps away outside), and close to the Van Ness metro on the red line. Friendly staff and clean - I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Days Inn a good place to stay"
Enjoyed my stay at this location; it was convenient, close to the subway, and there were plenty of restaurants within relatively short walking distance (15 minutes or so). The rooms were decent, its not a 5 Star, but for the price I paid after booking via hotels.com, I would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok hotel close to the metro"
The room was nice, if not small. Bed was comfortable. Free wifi, but extra charge for parking which I believe is standard for hotels in the area. 5 minute walk to the red metro line. Was in DC for the day and the hotel was just what I needed. My only real complaint was that the walls are thin and I could hear doors closing in the halls throughout the […] night. "A bit tired"
The hotel was a bit tired. That said, for the money, it was satisfactory. I hated the pillows. They were all thick so that your head was propped into a position where you got neck strain. All hotels should have options on pillow thickness.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good place to stay - good location and price"
The only comments I have is that there was no towel rack in our room. There was a hook on the back of the door but that was the only place to hang our towels. Also, the shower curtain is curved, so it doesn't stay in place. Water was everywhere which made the floor very slippery. And there was no luggage rack, so I had to put my suitcase on the floor. "If you really need to be close to AU"
Sketchy folks hanging out in the lobby day and night, a loud bar/ restaurant across the parking area and desk staff who seemed more intent on pursuing their private conversation than on assisting guests created a negative impression. My room was quiet (which was great) but that's about all it had going for it. Furnishings need to be freshened up - and […] having 4 mini-pillows isn't the same as having two full-size ones. It was a good place to stay for a night before I had to have surgery. It was only one mile away from my doctors appt in the morning. The room was spacious and comfortable. Comfortable huge bed.
