Overall a pretty poor experience. We called for a wake up call the first night and I guess we were forgotten about. The second night when I called for one I was told I would receive a personal one since they missed my call yesterday. I said thank you and asked for a second follow up call 15 later to ensure we up since we had a event that morning. Well […] needless to I did not make the event on time since neither called was placed. Housekeeping also must have taken a day off as our room was only serviced once during our long weekend stay. Our room smelled horrible and there was mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom. We ordered room service when we arrived which was never delivered. We drove down the road to find something to eat and ended up in the ghetto.

The room was very old and the carpet very dirty. After we went to bed someone tried to get in our room and when I called the front desk said, oh well. To their credit the linens were nice and very clean.

Noisy! Jr. High and High School basketball teams. Running up and down the halls. Stacks of pizza boxes in hallway and hotel staff did not remove them. I will not come back.

This is an "OK" hotel with the potential to be excellent. It has "location, location, location." The layout of the hotel is fair,but it is not always convenient, particularly in winter, to go out one door and in another to get to an area that is directly beneath your room. On the other hand, even full to the brim with travelling students (like this […] past weekend) it is very quiet in the room, which means the construction is good. The staff is great, the food is better than average, and the hotel exudes horse country charm. It needs Paint Plumbing and a bit more care in polishing the furniture. Everything was OK except the electric went out over the entire Hotel. We had no light to see around the building. Breakfast was horrible because there was no light and food was out or cold. We had small children and there wasn't much for them to drink or eat.

We stop in Lexington, Ky on our frequent trips to St. Louis. We have stayed at several of the hotels/motels at this interchange and find this to be the best of the group. While there are some cosmetic issues with the halls and doors, there was nothing that interfered with our comfort or safety. The food was pretty average, but very convenient. (in […] the hotel, no going outside in chilly December temps) The bed was one of the most comfortable we have experienced in a hotel! No fancy linens, just spotlessly clean sheets and great support! The hotel has a large, indoor "Fun Dome" with a pool and spa, basketball courts, fast food for the younger crowd. While our children are both grown, we talked about what a great place it would be for a family to stay and allow the kids to swim and play basketball and just generally work off some of the excess energy that builds up on a long auto trip. The staff was friendly and efficient, and complimented us on our well behaved terriers! Saying nice things about our dogs will make us happy campers. Thanks for a good night and a good breakfast. This hotel was clean and worth the value. The rooms were modern and comfy. The pool was nice and they even had a basketball goal. The offered a free breakfast buffet that I wish I would have woke up for. The room had a fridge and microwave, a nice flat screen tv, and we were upgraded to a room with a temperpedic bed. Awesome stay.

Even though the hotel was on the older side as far as the building was concerned, the room was very nice. The bed had a memory foam mattress which was super comfortable! I went to the on-site sports bar for dinner. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience.

This is an older hotel but has been well-maintained. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room and bathroom clean with no smoke-smell (which is important to me). We stayed for just one night during on our drive to another destination and wish we could of stayed longer. The hotel has some wear and tear but that is to be expected for a hotel built in the late 60's, early 70's. The hotel staff was very friendly from the staff at check-in to the maitenance guy we spoke to while hanging out at the pool. The staff […] at check-in was making jokes with other people at the hotel and it was making everyone laugh. The room was a standard hotel room but the bed was amazing! We are planning to buy the exact same bed for home! There is a restaurant on-site and a bar and grill on-site and several restaurants just down the street. There were so many things to do at the hotel that you did not need to leave. They have a large swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. They also have shuffleboard, an indoor basketball court and a sand volleyball court outside. It is a great place if you have kids! Would definitely stay here again! Read more

I would rate this hotel as a D- on a scale of A-F It needs a great deal of cleaning and has that horrible "hotel" smell. There were issues that the management attempted to rectify after the fact, but I would not stay at this hotel again. The breakfast as ok. Not bad - not great. I've been a much nicer hotels.

our stay was a stopping point but well worth the stop...and I do mean well worth it.......everything was above the normal and it was a great stopping point. Overall I was pretty happy with this hotel...for its age it was neat and clean and the beds were comfy. The rooms had flatscreen tvs but only offered a few digital channels. The AC worked good and the shower was great. For the time spent in the room it was fine. The restaurant offered local flavors as well as old favorites and the bar was a great place […] to hang out. There was a patio off the restaurant which made it nice on pleasant nights. The staff was friendly as well but the problem was that for Derby weekend and the hotel hosting a basketball tournament....they were under staffed. On a Friday and Saturday night with a near full hotel, they should have brought in more servers. The breakfast bar was delicious but once again the hotel was near full so people couldn't find seating and the coffee ran out one morning. The front desk and managers all seems very friendly and pleasant. Overall it was a nice stay but the biggest complaint was there was almost no internet. I stayed at one hotel as large as this one that had several networks to connect to depending on where you were at....this one only had one and we had people staying in different places around the hotel and no connection. I ended up using my phone data instead. We enjoyed the food and meeting new people but still like our internet. Read more
