Everything about it was fine for an overnight stay. The road is under construction but that won't last too long. Avoid the 'steakhouse' across the street.

Located right off I-40. This hotel is clean and well-run. My one complaint would be that my room smelled a bit musty, but it was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is plentiful. A nice outdoor pool and a modest fitness center. I'd stay there again!

This motel need to be shut down and updated dramatically. I truly believe that the decor they have on hand is from the 80's. the room we stated in was so old that even if something as supositly clean, it still looked dirty. Located 100 yards south of I-40 (map is incorrect). The room was clean, four nice pillows on each of the double beds, coffee machine was clean with four coffee pkgs. Outside was OK. Looks much better on the inside. Staff was super friendly. Great value.

Even though this is an older motel, there has been care taken to update it. Our room had new faucet in vanity area and appeared to have been recently painted. Amenities were available at no extra charge like refridgerator and microwave. Also, had a nice flat screen TV. I was surprised when staying here last week. The room was very clean and comfortable. They must have recently updated the rooms. The only thing I didn't care for was the 5 small pillows on the king bed. I'd rather have two or three bigger ones. Other than that I was very satisfied. Well worth the money.

I was impressed with the staff. They were busy but professional and hard working. Prioritized people standing in front of them to people calling on the phone. My husband is a smoker so when we saw that the hotel had smoking rooms, we thought great! Wrong! The room had a really gross odor to it, not even a smoke odor, not sure what it was. There were lots of cigarette butts all in the mulch out front. The pool area had two foot weeds growing and lots of cracks. Bathroom ceiling had mold. We arrived late on Saturday night so could not really tell what the place looked like. However, we were very well satisfied when we went in and registered and when we went to our room. It was very clean, had a good mattress on the bed, was not noisy and a very enjoyable experience.

This is an older hotel and it shows. The bathroom needed a good scrubbing and there was an obvious amount of dust around the edges of the room where the vacuum cleaner must not reach. It was in poor enough condition that we will not stay there again, but not so bad that we would check out earlier than planned.

The room we were in was in the back to the motel and the security light was out. It was very dark and there was a man wandering around and hiding by the stairwell. We notified the office and they checked it out but he was gone by the time they got there. Then DID NOT replace the security light at that time even tho my husband asked them to. There was […] a maintence man carrying a ladder and my husband asked if he was going to replace the security light and he was rudely said "No". The heater/air conditioner made so much noise that we could not sleep. The good thing... we could have our little dog and the sheets were clean. The night desk clerk that checked us in was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this motel if you want a cheap place to stay that will allow you have your dog. I would advise checking the security lights and turning on the heating/air conditioning unit before you get settled in. Read more

Had a comfortable, no-hassle stay. Hotel was across from a steak house; so finding a place for dinner was no problem. Room appeared to be newly updated and was very comfortable. Grounds and pool were nicely landscaped.

I would stay at the Quality Inn in Morganton again. It was clean, quiet, and close to some good restaurants (which I needed to go to since the motel restaurant was not open except for the cont'l breakfast). They are currently doing some renovations, but you couldn't tell unless you were close to that end of the motel. Very friendly staff, too.

Older hotel but very well kept up. The staff was very helpful and friendly letting us sign in early and making sure the room was clean and neat every day. Sarah at the front desk went the extra mile to make sure everything was ok. This is the only place I'll stay when I come to Morganton again.

It was a hotel/motel. There were no bedbugs. The bed didn't kill my back, and it didn't stink. The sheets were damp one day, but were Ok for the night.

July 2-3, 2010 visit. Old motel that needs to be updated but was relatively clean/moderate room. Met basic needs. Outside entry doors. Only had stairs to reach second floor from what I could tell. Very good breakfast buffet and dining area. Desk personnel friendly but may need extra training on procedures or more help. Only ever saw one person taking […] care of everything at the desk. It was always busy when I came through the lobby. Staff tried to have me pay the bill upon checkout when it had already been booked and paid for through Expedia. Same thing happened to a customer in front of me too. Staff blamed communication with Expedia. I would recommend this motel if you are looking for a decent, no frills place, but advise having a copy of your Expedia paperwork showing receipt of payment just in case it is needed. Read more
