The bed frame was bigger than the bed (hidden by the bed skirt) and my mother hit her leg on it twice leaving quite a bruise. The staff was friendly and said they would have a look, but why was it that way to begin with...shouldn't the maid notice? The hotel is 'older' and you can tell. The stay was "ok", but the wi-fi could not be accessed from my room, even though the availability showed up on my list of choices, the signal was not strong enough for it to function in my room...big discouragement for attempting to get work accomplished.

NICE Place, room desk chair had rip in chair. remote needed new batteries.Other wise would stay again. good breakfast! Nice people working there. Hotels .com said 16 miles from our destination, WAS REALLY 40 MILES SO NOT CONVENIENT, So not hotels fault. Felt safe and good place.

We had stayed here previously and said we would never go back, after reading some reviews that it had gotten better we decided to try again - bad idea! They did not serve breakfast or even coffee on a Sunday morning because "there are not enough guests registered". Last I checked that is not my problem. Pool had not been cleaned in a while because you […] could see the grime buildup through the water and there was debris littering the bottom floor of the pool. We had mold in our shower. The room was suppose to have two queen beds - they were twins so my wife and I had to seperate and each sleep with one of our children to attempt to have enough room to at least rest because there was no sleeping in the cramped space and on a low quaility mattress. The reason for my visit put me in contact with some locals and every one said it used to be a Holiday Inn and the new owners are trying to bring it back but would never recommend staying there. The location is great and the staff was friendly but the facility, although better than when we stayed two years ago, still has a long way to go. If you need to stay in Fort Dodge spend the couple extra bucks and try one of the other places. Read more

We stayed one night and had a very comfortable stay. The rooms are nicely updated. The bed was nice and firm. We stayed at the Quality Inn in Fort Dodge during the Iowa state softball tournament in July, 2011. The property has been recently remodeled, with new carpet, countertops, tile everywhere. While the building still showed indications of its previous life (old windows, doors), most of what you see and touch has been upgraded and is quite nice. The free […] breakfast was good, including make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, french toast, pastry items, and cereal, along with milk and juice. Our room was quiet, but until the room doors are upgraded to keep out more hallway sounds, I suggest requesting a room farther from common areas, maybe towards the far (north) end of the building. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Quality Inn in Fort Dodge to others. Read more
