I had room service in the morning. You could tell my bacon and eggs were sitting in a warmer for too long. Only parts of my bacon were burnt, and my eggs were super rubber. Gross. Also, the security is heavy duty. You may feel a little too safe here.

The star rating and price for this hotel was little on high side. Could tell it was an older hotel. Construction on Interstate made it almost impossible to get to. Know construction is temporary though. I was on business trip with meeting at this hotel. Was fine for business meeting.

Stayed at the Doubletree Alsip for a few nights. Everything that could be perfect was. Rooms were very nice and clean. Only major gripe was the fact that wi-fi was not free. I recently stayed at another Doubletree in Michigan and it was free, so why change for this location? Overall a great place to stay for the money.

Doubletree seems a little pricey but you get a beautiful, quality room and excellent service. Hotel hass sleek and attractive looking room, hallways, Check-in desk, and even elevators. Room is extremely clean and tidy, very comfortable beds, flat screen TVs, and great heating cooling. Service is outstanding; I had a faulty TV remote and Maintenance arrived 5 minutes after I called to replace it. All the employees are friendly, polite, and helpful. You may pay a lttle more than other, close by Hotels, but you won't regret it for the quality and service they provide.

Excellent front desk staff. Very accommodating. The rooms are nice and the dining is above average for a hotel with this price point. It is conventiently located to the expressway and Midway Airport. There is ample meeting space and FREE parking. This is one of the best hotels in the area, a far, far better than the hotels around the airport.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth it, in my opinion. They gave me a delicious, warm cookie when I checked in, but a bottled water with the cookie would have been even better. Check-in was pleasant, the appearance of the hotel was very nice, and it was easy to find. It was difficult to find good food around the area other than the same old chain restaurants. I tried the food at the hotel restaurant and was disappointed. It was extremely salty, even the mashed potatoes! I literally felt like my mouth was being dehydrated by simply chewing on the food. The service was excellent and they nulled my bill without hassle. I gave them another chance by ordering a slice of cake for dessert, however, that was also disappointing. It was very dry. The hotel charges you a daily rate for internet access in your room! I have been in many other Hilton brand hotels that do not charge for internet access and I think it's ridiculous that this hotel charges for it. It is not even wireless, so you're stuck at the desk. I was given a double bed room even though I requested a King, but that was no big deal to me. However, BOTH beds were uncomfortable and definitely need to be replaced. I could feel the springs in both and never had a great night's rest. I would only recommend this hotel to others if they can get a fair price (i.e. from Hotels.com), have to work in or around the area, and don't mind paying for internet access.

This hotel was exactly what we needed! Only drawback whatsoever was the free breakfast was over by the time we got up and they had a $17.00 brunch set-up when we got there...most expensive waffles I've ever had! Room was outstanding, clean, comfy beds, we had like 20 pillows. We we're trying to book a room outside of Chicago and I really thought we'd have to drive way far away to find Alsip. Turns out it's just a short hop on the freeway. Anyway, room was great.

My only concern was that they billed my credit card and I had already paid thru bill me later. However, I went to the front desk and they quickly reversed the charges. I almost left the hotel without going to the front desk because I knew my room was paid for and was going to use express checkout. Something told me to double check and I am glad I did. Problem Avoided.

This is an average business traveler hotel (above average at the price point we paid). It seems strange that they have free internet in the lobby but you need to pay for it in the room. Gym and pool are well above average for this price point. Service in the bar and restaurant was poor. Bring your gas mask as they allow smoking everywhere. With that said, the non-smoking rooms were comfortable.

This hotel shows that it is less than 10 miles from the airport and has a free shuttle. We flew from Kansas City to Chicago faster than the shuttle from the airport picked us up at the airport then it took us 25 minutes to get to the hotel. Meanwhile, the restaurant in the hotel was closed so our plan to eat when we arrived in Chicago was a terrible plan. The hotel did offer a free breakfast the next day, which was nice. Our preference would have been to get to the hotel quicker and enjoy a nice mean .

Attractive hotel. Management tries to be accommodating. But nothing can make up for the fundamental flaw of its location. VERY far from Chicago and even ridiculously far from the airport that it is supposed to serve (Midway). The hotel's literature is misleading that this airport serves Midway. It serves the township of Alsip, and there is NOTHING in Alsip except a few strip malls and low-end eateries (not even these are within walking distance of the hotel, of course. That would be too convenient). AVOID!
