Overall it was a nice place to stay. The location was perfect for our concert and Longhorn Steakhouse was right next door for supper before. The room I book was not what I got. I booked 2 full beds with pull-out sofa and there was NO pull-out. I chose these because we had 3 people in each room and they could each have a bed. Apparently we were not the only people having the same problem. There was a lady ahead of us doing some yelling. This gentleman also told us it was Expedia's issue not theirs. I booked early so I would have a good choice. We had 2 of the girls sleeping in the chair or on the floor because of this because they didn't want to be crowded in the beds. Great location for walking to the Allstate arena. Now the rest - we had 5 people and received a room with two double beds - was supposed to also have a sofabed, but didn't. Sheets has stains on them and the one bed was uncomfortable. Walls are thin, could hear the people in the next room talking. A lot of extra loud noise (besides the street noise). […] We were on the 3rd floor and kept hearing a "metal banging" noise, sounded like someone banging on dumpsters. Then got woke up in the AM to the same noise about 6 AM. The shower leaked water on the floor. I booked this hotel to keep the car there while away for a week. This wasn't honored and it costed another $15 per night for parking. "Bed comfort was horrible"
My room was great until I laid down on the sleep number bed which was hard as a concrete floor. I tried to adjust the numbers but they did move and down but the bed was still hard. Through a horrible nights sleep which sleep wasn't happening I finally contacted the front desk to see if another room without a sleep number bed was available and there […] was but that bed was as just as uncomfortable. "close to the allstate arena"
The hotel was fine for an overnight stay while attending a concert at the allstate arena. The walk was easy, about two blocks. There was absolutely no parking though. If you are checking in for an event, make sure you get there at least 2-3 hrs early. We arrived at 6:15 for an 8:p.m. concert, thinking we could check in, and have dinner at the attached […] steakhouse. Wrong! The customers of all of the surrounding restaurants filled the hotel parking lot to the point that hotel customers could not park. We drove around for 25 minutes and had to fight for a parking space in the hotel lot. There was at least a 47 minute wait for any restaurant in the area. While the hotel staff was friendly, I can't say the same for the general public in the area. If you arrive early and get a parking spot and are able to get in to a restaurant, you will have no problem. Overall the only real problem was that they need to reserve parking for the hotel customers only, and not the neighborhood restaurants, other than that, the hotel was fine.
