The location was great, nothing that specific good thing with the hotel itself. The cleanliness was the worst I have ever seen. I have stayed in hotel three times cheaper with better cleaning than this place (we stayed there two nights and payed something like 235$ + an extra 11$ which I never understood why it wasn't included within the existing hotels.com […] booking). The bed was just touched to show they did something. The towels weren't changed. There were old socks and old ear cleaners from earlier guest under the element. The bath water didnt flow out, so the water was left in the tub for a long time after showering that left full traces. This hotel is no close to be called a resort but upon check in they were charging resort fee. Which was not even mentioned in the Hotels.com website. I made the reservation on hotel.com for six days and I thought I paid in full however when I checked in I had to pay a safe and resort fee. i was given a key to a room that was not clean even though I checked in at 5 pm they apologized and gave me a different room.The safe did not work and I asked for it to be reparied and they did not repair it. I was worried after reading some of the reviews, but we had a great 3-day stay for the Orange Bowl. Our room was a bit outdated (old furniture, no flat-screen TV) but was very clean & had basic amenities (HBO, microwave, fridge, hairdryer, iron, alarm). I couldn't get the wi-fi to work, even after calling the front desk. The cleaning crew had to wait […] for clean linens & towels from the laundry, but they brought towels to the room when they were ready (still warm from the dryer!). The common areas are worn-down with stains on hallway carpets. But everything was clean, & there was plenty of help on hand. Breakfast area, keeping was well- stocked & clean. All staff were friendly & helpful. There was yogurt & whole fruit in addition to breads & cereals. Plus... real orange juice! The "resort fee" was silly for just a standard pool, a couple basketball courts & a few holes of mini golf. They also charged extra for the safe in the room, even though we didn't request one. We didn't eat or drink in the sports bar, but saw the great view of the Calder horsetrack. We walked to Sun LIfe stadium. It was a long walk.. took 20-30 min along a busy road without sidewalks in some parts, but worth it to avoid traffic & paying to park.
