We stopped here overnight to visit friends for a day. Location was very convenient on the main road. Hotel was freshly painted, looked brand new. Reception was very friendly, kudos to bubbly Vicky Lee. Room was beautifully decorated with nice colors and amenities. We especially appreciated the little table that could be pulled up between the beds for […] a meal. The only not so great thing was buffet breakfast. Waffle irons were messy, fruit salad tray empty, sweets basically different kind of boxed donates. We should have selected from the menu instead. Even the cleaning lady is the lobby was friendly and immediately picked up a stray coffee cup lid when I pointed it out to her. We would stay there again. Thank you! Read more

I was very pleased with my stay. Upon registering, I was immediately upgraded to a corner suite. When it was raining, I was met at my car with hotel staff with an umbrella. (Granted, I was in the lot right in front of the hotel, but still!) I was given a free bottle of water when I purchased Advil. They loaned me an umbrella when I walked to dinner. […] The hotel was attractive; the main rug could use replacing but everything else was great. Bed was very comfortable and I was thrilled it came with a microwave and fridge (I don't know if this was because I was in the suite or not). Victoria was fabulous and the gentleman who handled the bar was polite, thoughtful--I was going to just get takeout, but I enjoyed myself so much I stayed at the bar for dinner. Will be returning to Miami next year and will definitely stay again. A slight walk to Miracle Mile--6 short blocks--completely doable if you have comfy shoes. Read more

the windows aren't well insulated so you can hear the road traffic so be aware of the rooms that face the main road. otherwise everything was fine especially for one night in Miami

We visit Miami several times a year, as our son is a student at Univ. of Miami. This hotel is in a great location to the University, airport, beaches, great shopping and restaurants at Merrick Park and Miracle Mile. Clean, quiet and nice staff is all you need in a great city.

Everything about this hotel was great except for the price. Absolutely insane to be charging $300 for a room as in my opinion this is still a basic hotel, and the ratings that I have given it are the ratings I would expect to give any professional establishment.

i chose the hotel because I needed to be near Coconut Grove for meeting. The outside of the hotel seemed a little sketchy -- for instance the parking area is adjacent to the hotel laundry and the hotel sits directly on a main drag. Interior is nice though and my room was very nice. The mattress seemed brand new -- very, very comfortable.

My wife and I stayed here over Thanksgiving. It's a well maintained hotel with pleasant staff. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. There was ample parking in 3 or 4 lots. The hotel is right next to the street but you can't hear a thing going on outside the room. My only gripe is that the shower/tub tiles need updating and there was no extractor fan […] in the bathroom. This caused the smoke detector to alarm during one long shower. :) Read more

Hard bed Dirty carpet on each floor and in my room. They didn't vacuum everyday. The hotel SMELLED like the carpets had been shampooed recently. But they didn't look clean. It rained and the gutter system dripped down the overhang and I could hear it drip all night(annoying). The restaurant food is not good. I had Calamari, they fried it so hard it […] died again. Very nice hotel in a great Miami area. Close (within walking distance) to shops and many restaurants called the 'Miracle Mile'. The pool was nice and complimentary shuttle to and from the MIA airport. Also, the rooms are quite large so there is plenty of room and hotel is so clean and updated it seems brand new!

The hotel was nicely maintained, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the room was nicely decorated and clean. However, the amenities of the room need attention. The toilet often had to be flushed twice to be fully dispensed. The hotel-provided hair dryer seemed to be on its last legs. The iron leaked water on my clothes. There was only one mirror […] in the room and it was stuffed in a corner without good lighting so it was not comfortable to use and the bathroom mirror was too steamed over to be useful for getting ready in the morning. The location is great and the front desk people, particularly Monica, were competent and friendly. The business center could be upgraded. Free USA and WSJ newspapers was a plus in addition to a small but well kept pool and fitness room.

We were pleasantly surprized about our overnight stay in Miami prior to going on a cruise ship. The staff at the hotel were friendly and extremely helpful. They not only made excellent restaurnt suggestions but shuttled us to and from the restaurant !! There was wonderfful shopping and restaurants also in walking distance. We have stayed here on previous trips. We love the location in a nice residential area - safe well lighted ample parking close to the door. This room was a king (very comfortable) with maybe the best furnishings ever - one beautiful long piece of furniture which included over and under enclosed cabinets for microwave and fridge, dresser, and large desk. […] Then beside the desk was a separate very nice table with perfect height for the suitcase. On the other side was a comfortable couch with an ample coffee table. Each lamp in the room also had an electrical plug-in making it easy to find recharge stations. The bathroom had a wall to wall counter - tons of room for personal items. This was maybe the most perfect hotel room we've ever seen in terms of design and furnishings. As we've noticed in our previous stays here, there's some things a little less than perfect - the shower spray is on the strong side and will only slightly lower, still leaving too strong a spray for me - my wife thought it was ok. As far as noise, the connecting interior doors allow more noise to carry into the room than they should, and plumbing noises from the other rooms also are noisier than it seems they should be for a good size building (reason for overall 4 rating). There's no complimentary breakfast, but even if there were, I would still head over to one of my favorite Cuban restaurants anyway. There is a Burger King just a block over for an easy quick fix. Would be nice to add an APPLE computer for those of us who are not savy in the Windows computers and need to get to our boarding passes within 24 hours of our next flight. Hotel was very clean and service was great. Had a room on the 2nd floor and it very noisy. woke up on the hour every hour due to what sounded like an air conditioning unit spinning up and down. Not my best hotel, but aside, veyr good location and easy to get to from the airport.
