My girlfriend and I enjoyed a nice weekend here. The hotel is literally a minute walk from the light rail and had a nice back patio. The drawbacks were the mini fridge in the room was off and took all night to chill plus there was no sunday night happy hour. Over all would stay again!

Ammenities shown online were not ammenities in person. No map or hotel guide in room, lobby and getting info from desk staff was not much better. Room and hotel were clean, quiet, and food was fantastic in restaurant. Just very unhappy with how it was presented online and completely different once we arrived.

The Hotel staff was friendly and the location was great for catching the light rail to the baseball game. The included breakfast was great considering the price I paid for the room.

This place was nowhere near as nice as I thought it may be. Hallway carpets were gross and stained. Rooms, blankets, everything seemed "Old" and dirty. The resturant/bar food was pretty awful from what I had. Wasn't a horrible experience, but the whole place had weird vibes to me. Beds were comfy though I guess.

The Phoenix Place hotel was very convenient, close to ASU and near Phoenix College. My Nephew is attending Phoenix College and my son attends ASU so this hotel worked out perfectly. The room was clean, with the exception of the carpet. Convenient but lacking cleanliness. Carpets were very dirty. King size bed was clean but broken (?)- one side was hard as a board and the other side sunk in. The staff- which consisted of one guy all day and night, was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was standard. Value was over rated for the price.

I reserved a Suite and when I checked in there were none left. We were put in a regular room which was very crowded. The pool area was messy and there were no towels. The place needs a little attention. I would not stay there again!

The location is a block for the Light Rail stop, however, there is an "Adult" store across the street which made me feel uncomfortable. Men sitting in their cars in the parking lot... The hotel has recently changed names so the Taxi drivers didn't know where it was. The hotel had booked a private party on a Saturday afternoon and told us we couldn't […] use the pool from 12-3. We used the pool anyways. There is NO jacuzzi. The breakfast was the same thing every morning and we had to ask for things to be replenished when they were gone. Getting coffee was an act of God, like it was gold or something. The sleep number bed didn't have any explaination so it was uncomfortable. The bathroom hadn't had behind the door cleaned in some time. It was convenient to have a mini-fridge & micorwave in the room. There is a Walgreens 1 block away that stocked food and drinks. I think that at one time this was probably a reasonably nice hotel. It needs a lot of updating and refurbishing to get there again. It has potential, but I didn't feel the value was there for my liking.

The hotel is older but well apportioned. Experienced a number of minor issues like a broken bed frame, a luke warm shower one morning and a defective ice machine. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Price was good; would stay again.

We just needed a place overnight and the Phoenix Place worked out great. Big clean room, great bed, very nice full breakfast. Secure car parking. This worked out great and on sale for less than $100

The elevators were all out of order, and when we took the stairs, they led to the side of the building. Check out time wasn't until 11, but house keeping stormed into my room at 8am. I wasn't the least bit impressed. The front desk clerk seemed like she was having a bad day? I had to ask her how to get to the room and where I was supposed to park. The room was ok but I wouldn't have stayed there if it were for more than 1 night. Be forewarned, they only have ice machines on the 3rd and 5th floors. Additionally, I learned the hard […] way, that only 97% of the rooms actually have a mini-fridge. I wish I had known this before I unpacked, heck before I booked. We went out and bought ice cream to put in the freezer for later, low and behold, an empty cabinet. Asked the front desk why we had no fridge, that's when we were told about the 97%. They offered to hold the ice cream in their freezer. Come on guys really? About the only nice thing about this place was the pool and the grounds around it. I was very disappointed that there were only 4 handicap parkings. also we had to park in the hotel parking walk down a stair case that had no locks on the doors and not knowing who would be in there. no elevators in the parking structure so had to drop off my husband in front go park and walk down stairs by myself at night.
