"nice hotel, free bike use for guests but noisy a/c"
The hotel was pretty nice, the neighborhood upscale, not too far from the Metro. A very nice surprise was free use of a bike during my stay. My one serious complaint is that the a/c unit would turn on and off throughout the night. I found that rather annoying. I would prefer a constant sound of the fan instead of the unit completely turning off and […] then going back on. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Jewel in NW Washington"
Very convenient, well maintained and comfortable. The only thing I would change is the water pressure for the sink - although I do understand the environmental concerns.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Reasonable hotel, well situated in Chevy Chase"
The hotel was reasonably well appointed, the room comfortable but only a shower in the bathroom, no bath..Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location but very thin walls"
A tad overpriced given the mediocre construction of building. My room on 3rd floor was not what I have come to expect from a "Courtyard" property. Woken up not once but TWICE during the night by adjoining room which is certainly not management's fault. For guests who desire a NW DC location for shopping with Metro location it was just fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"close to university graduation"
the staff was very courteous and helpful. I was challenged to get the air conditioning just right. A blanket was provided when asked. The location was very convenient, and the parking easy in the hotel garage. Thank you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to everything!"
Friendly staff and good food at the restaurant. Room was a bit small but clean and nice. Walking distance to great shopping and restaurants and close to train stations. Some kind of event in the hotel on Friday night that was loud, but ended promptly at 11 so wasn't too disturbing. Definitely will stay here again if in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for location"
The hotel's location was perfect being walking distance to restaurants and shopping and a metro stop. We were visiting the area to look at colleges so it was perfect where we did not expect the hotel to be part of our experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"" Smart Business woman treats her guest as family""
When I arrived at the Hotel, I happened to mention thta my wife and I were celebrating our 30 wedding anniversary. "Fine Stay in Chevy Chase"
This is a great location near the upscale shops and eateries of Chevy Chase. Plus it is right near the Metro for our trip downtown to the Verizon Center for a basketball game, and just a short drive to American University. We had nice breakfast service two mornings at the small restaurant. This is our first visit to this Marriott Courtyard, and have […] stayed previously at the Embassy Suites a few blocks up. If you do not need the extra space of the Suites, then this is the better deal -and a nicer property. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Room was warm and stuffy."
AC / ventilation system worked poorly (it was ~40 degrees outside), so room was stuffy and uncomfortable. What good is a hotel room if you can't get a good night's sleep??Genuine Expedia guest review
"very close to the training I attended"
My stay went very well except that the heating was making a crackling sound in the middle of the night which kept me from sleeping. They were going to send someone to the room to work on it, but it was after midnight and I waited awhile. I had to attend training and had to have my sleep, so I asked them to bring me extra blankets so that I could stay […] warm. I didn't know how long it would take them to fix the heater, so I turned it off bc of the crackling noise. When I checked out the next day, I asked if they could make an adjustment on the charge. They said they couldn't because it was already paid for through hotels.com. I felt that I should not have been charged the full rate for the second night since the heating system made noise. In the morning, I turned on the heat and it worked, but then it switched over to air conditioning by itself. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Was treated like a criminal for not booking thru Marriott. "Excellent location and lovely room"
We chose this hotel because it was close to a party we were attending, but were thrilled with it beyond its location. The building is LEED certified (environmentally friendly), the room was beautiful, and the neighborhood fantastic. Lots of high-end shopping, excellent restaurants (try Clyde's), and a Metro stop close-by. We were able to get to the […] hotel by subway, it took about 45 minutes door-to-door. There's a Whole Foods nearby, as well. It's also an easy Metro ride into D.C., or if you're a walker, you can walk right down Wisconsin Avenue into Georgetown, past the Naval Observatory and the National Cathedral. This place is a gem, and we will definitely stay here on our next visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"great shopping and close to good friends in area"
The Courtyard Marriott is is an prime location in Bethesda, near restaurants, across the street from Saks and high end shopping. This was my 2nd stay and I found the hotel room to be very comfortable, quiet and conducive to rest. The staff at the hotel are polite accessible and helpful. I highly recommend it and will stay there again in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable, High-Class and Tech-Savvy"
The hotel is well maintained in all respects. The front desk staff, maintenance, housekeeping and room-service were all polite and welcoming. "Nice hotel and great stay"
Overall it was a great stay. My only complaint and it was minor is that I had the room that was next to the elevator. Anytime the elevator went up and down I could here it very well. Thankfully I'm used to sleeping with the tv on so once I turned it on I couldn't hear it and was able to get to sleep. Everything else was great. It was close enough to […] everything I needed to do that I was able to walk where I was going. The subway is only two blocks away and I think next time I may just fly and ride the subway into town instead. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"small room, you have to pay $15 for parking."
The front desk was not very inviting. I even have to ask if that is the front desk. I was not informed at the hotels.com site that parking is not free. At the desk the lady ask me if I will use the same card for the 15 bucks of parking. I said okay eventhough I didnt get informed. The room they gave us was very small and its infront of the elevator, […] and that elevator was too slow and noisy you can hear it inside our room. The price I paid is not worth the stay. Its overpriced for the room we got. The breakfast was bad too. Not too much choices. I can say that this hotel is not family friendly. And very disappointed that I have to pay for parking. "Fine location for a college visit"
This is one of only 2 hotel options in Chevy Chase and is very convenient for visiting students at nearby American University., National Institute of Health or as a suburban base to explore Washington DC. Proximity to bus and Metro train service is a definite plus, so you don't need a rental car to get around. There are ample restaurants and high end […] shopping in the area, with many more dining options in nearby Bethesda. The hotel staff are very helpful and the updated decor is visually appealing. "Great location, great price!"
This hotel is very nice and conveniently located in Friendship Heights (red line on the DC metro). I had my parents stay here while I moved apartments and you can't beat the price for the location. It is near restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores. A big plus for my dad was the self-parking (no valet) which is only $15 per day. "A great location. Right next to a buzzing market."
Everything was great but for the room service. Room service was hard to reach through phone, late in providing basic facilities like extra coffee. The food was good but the restaurant staff was argumentative and just not pleasant. Front staff was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay here for Chevy Chase, Bethesda or D.C."
This hotel is clean, staff that I encountered were super nice and the location was within walking distance to upscale or mid level shopping, Whole Foods, Starbucks, restaurants and transportation. The $15 parking [self parking with all day in and out] seemed reasonable for the area. The underground lot appeared ample and secured. I had breakfast in […] the lobby which I found for about $10 was also reasonable and quite good. Comfortable bed, mini fridge, clean bathroom and FREE wifi! I called front desk in advance of our arrival to have a crib placed in our room for our 4 month old which was not available by the time I checked in. The next day a gentleman that worked in the lobby, remebering us from the night before, made it his mission to get us the next available one which he did. I wish I knew his name to thank him here. That snag did not sour us. We had a great stay and will definitely look to stay here again when in the area. I have no info on the gym or pool but will look to use them next time. "A good value!"
We liked the convenience and low cost of parking in the basement. The TV was very complicated; I never found a log of available channels or operating instructions. The location was very convenient for us.Genuine Expedia guest review
the service was great throughout the 3 days we were there. very friendly.Great location for top of the line shopping and nice restarurants nearby. Our only surprise was the fact that at breakfast "many" of the tables were not cleared and the dining area looked messy. other than that very clean and convenient for our purposes.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very clean and comfortable!"
Staff very friendly, prepared for our stay, and helpful. The facility is very high class. While we didn't eat there, we found the refrigerator in our room very nice, internet worked well. TV is beautiful also. They had coffee in the AM.Genuine Expedia guest review
This wasn't like a typical Courtyard. I felt it had a more urban feel. It was nice. The bathroom was a little small - difficult for a woman to spread her necessities on the counter and not enough outlets. Otherwise, it was very nice. The parking garage had some weird leaks and it was difficult finding a place to park my car without getting this odd […] liquid everywhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Always a pleasant stay"
This hotel is a very welcoming place to stay. All of the staff is helpful. The rooms are very nice. The location is great. The few things that would improve my future visits to this hotel would be: 1) Better internet reception in the rooms- after trying to connect for 20 minutes I had to give up and go down to the business center which is inconvenient […] after working a long day. During my last visit, I couldn't connect my laptop to the internet at all. As I visit for business this makes things more difficult than they should be. The room is very relaxing and I would like to catch up on work there. 2) Less room fragrance in the lobby. It is overpowering and I don't ever have anything to eat or drink there because of it. ""Through wind and rain and power outages""
I arrived very late on Friday, June29, after being shuffled from plane to plane, and I was exhausted. the front desk clerk, Chanda, was there to greet me with a smile and i went to a very clean room. I returned from a restaurant down the street in the wind and rain, and slept comfortably until late morning, waking up to several places without power […] and states of emergency, but my stay was never interrupted. The staff was very friendly. We could go to high end shops and places to eat, as well as, drug stores and fast food places. the metro was close and taxis were waiting at the hotel.
