"Good for price paid"
I have stayed in this hotel couple of times. This is a decent place for the price you pay. Some of the hotel staff is extremely rude and qualify for a course in hospitality management. The breakfast is simply disappointing. The rooms and amenities are fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Dirty room, broken elevators, dirty hallways."
There was blood on the bed sheets, mirror and wall. Both elevators were broken and the carpets are a mess. Very dissappointed.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Fixer Upper in East Hartford"
First the positives. The staff were courteous, the room was comfortable and clean. Most important for me, it was also convent to Rentschler Field, my destination. Now the rest. Of the two elevators, both were out of service, I was on two, so no problem. The bar/restaurant was closed for repairs, and then there's the pool. While I was checking in at […] the front desk, the clerk took a call from a potential guest. Apparently the clerk was asked about the Hotel Pool, because he answered, "the pool is closed, no the pool is never opening again." Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Damaged, ongoing state of disrepair"
Water damage, clearly ongoing in bathrooms. Smoke saturated rooms, fridge off kilter and temperature dial busted so couldn't adjust to ensure we would be able to refreeze our ice packs; tub stains, poor repairs around sink, toilet and tub. GROSS. Staff was very pleasant. Great location to highway, gas and great Mexican restaurant "Margaritas".Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stayed overnight... great room"
Can't talk about the service because room was used overnight. Overall the room was very clean, spacious, temperature control, organized. Great experience!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"About my stay at Ramada East Hartford CT."
It went well but I was disappointed with the toilet flushing every 30 minutes with loud noise which disturbed my sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The bathroom wasn't clean & there were stains on the wallsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The place looks run down, out side and in. While laying on my bed watching TV with my daughter, one of the hotel maids just burst right in, without knocking, slaying something about towels. The pillows are these little hard square lumps. And the breakfast? Good god. it was in a dark room with capacity for easily 200+, […] but there were 3 or 4 small folding tables thrown out haphazardly, without even enough chairs to go with them. the selection was cheap pastries covered in saran wrap, sugary junk cereal, and some english muffins and bagels. there was a waffle iron, but that thing was broken, but still left out, complete with batter. It was miserable, the whole experience. i couldn't get out soon enough. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"older but with some updates"
The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Parts of the hotel are older and in need of updates. The restaurant and pool were closed for major renovations so while it said there would be breakfast, there was not. Location is close to major interstates and my business meeting location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I travel about 100 days a year for work. I work for a small, nonprofit, so we usually stay in midlevel hotels. This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in during my eight years of travel. During the three days here, the hallways were never cleaned and the amount of debris (food, wrappers, etc) just kept piling up. There was a college formal in the […] lobby ballroom and drinks were spilled all over the place and the floors are sticky. A toilet overflowed in the lobby bathroom and they just put out a sign and waited for the carpet to dry--they didn't even use a wet/dry vac to suck the dirty water out of the carpet. The exercise room was almost hilarious the equipment was so old with only about half of it functioning. The breakfast is not only a terrible food selection but also in a room that looks like it could have been abandoned five years ago. It's bizarre. Obviously an old Holiday Inn, I understand why they unloaded this property. The best way to renovate would be with a few sticks of dynamite. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect for a quick stay!"
I was there for a quick overnight trip (with many others from all over) to see George Strait at the XCenter. The room was comfortable and clean. The only unpleasantness I experienced was that the hallway reeked of nicotine. Thankfully the room, which was non-smoking, was fine. Very pleasant and helpful staff. We did not try the continental breakfast. […] If I were to go to another event in Hartford I would stay again in light of above, reasonable rates and free parking. "Looking for a comfortable stay? Its Here!"
I had to travel for a family funeral and the hotel offered the services I needed, such as computer friendly and comfort. "Good place to stay"
I stayed at this Ramada so I could get to work more easily and conveniently in a blizzard (in the US Northeast). Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. a little bit noisy as I was right off the highway, but that worked for me. The continental breakfast was a disappointment..no one available to help, dark room and not too […] clean. Could use a staff member to wipe up, sweep away crumbs and refill stations. (But there was a blizzard and cleanup going on, so maybe there usually is someone posted there, just not these days?) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The price of the hotel was good and location convenient. That was the only good thing, hallway smelled of cigarettes. Carpet in the hallway and elevators were dirty. The room was not cleaned properly. One of the mattress needs replacing it was sunken in the middle. "not the best"
The rooms were fair, shower rod practically falling down, elevators were dirty & doors sometimes would not open automaticly. No ice machine on my floor & soda machines in poor condition. It's a little difficult to find, but as long as you have your mapquest directions, or whatever, you'll do fine. Very close to the city, and convenient. Room clean, enough towels, etc. Breakfast is not frilly, but good all the same. Friendly staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Cheap and it shows..."
The room was ok+, but the common areas of the Hotel was appalingly dirty and run down. Elveators the worst I have seen in any Hotel. Breakfast was minimal but sufficient, but the room is was served in was not. Not enough tables, cold, dark and damp. Excercise room was a joke.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not bad!!!!, I booked the hotel before reading any reviews and then when I went through the reviews I thought I have made a mistake; however once I reached the hotel, I thought I was wrong, the hotel is not that bad as people say. I enjoyed my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad hotel that is falling apart."
The hotel rooms are clean, but the hallways are dirty, there are candy wrappers in the elevators that no one seems to ever pick up. On our floor, the hallway rug had black skid marks of some sort, and at night a heavy smell of cigarette smoke coming from different rooms filled the hallway. Breakfast was served in a part of the hotel that used to be […] a bar, now a deserted bar, with poor lighting, and was not even properly heated: the large space had one space heater. Space heater? In a breakfast area? In a three star hotel? Even the breakfast coffee was burnt. 7/11 coffee is significantly more luxurious. The front desk staff was the only positive thing, who, while not always with a smile on their faces, still did appear eager to please. But that does not save the hotel from getting an F. My guess is that the hotel's 3 star rating was given a long, long time ago. This place is falling apart. Not returning again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close to Hartford"
Our group stayed at the Ramada for a business trip and though the price was right and the location was convenient, I was disappointed in our rooms. We booked a deal online for King beds and was surprised that we had double beds. The cleanliness was less to be desired. But, the location did make up for it slightly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Oops. EAST Hartford."
Perhaps there is a convention center in E H, too because this Ramada was NOT 2.8 miles from the one in Hartford, as indicated by Hotels.com. That was awkward. But THIS was recently remodeled, at least the rooms... The common areas were run down and the elevator hadn't seen a vacuum in a while. I traversed 3 waves of sketchy odors on the way to check-in. […] But the room was spotless if you don't count rust spots or permanent carpentry lines used to cut out the sink from the marble. Highway traffic was loud, but kind of nice white noise. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, regular folk, not so gussied as the ones as at the Ramada Plaza I accidentally visited in Hartford. No weird AM lobby smells, and the whole place looked better in the morning. That's certainly better than the reverse. I would recommend it to a friend on a budget with a car. But don't think you can walk to the Conn Conv Center like Hotels.com says. It's highway 84. Not the nice little Hartford downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"This place is just fine"
It's not the Four Seasons but there's not a single thing wrong with it. The rooms were fine, the staff was fine, the amenities were fine, and everything was clean and worked. For the money, you just can't beat this hotel. I was there for the UCONN football game and you can walk to the stadium in 10 minutes.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok in a pinch"
It looks like they have started to renovate some areas of the hotel - rooms and lobby but those areas not touched are less than pleasing. Carpets in hallways are hideous as is the carpet in the bar/breakfast area. The bar/breakfast area by far is the worst part of the facility. Space heaters are placed around the room but room is still cold. The walls […] definitely some new paint and the ugly carpet needs replaced. SIgns stating "Pardon our appearance while we improve for our guests" would be helpful if indeed that were true. For the continental breakfast, your hot choices of bacon or cold, rancid pancakes would be the fare. Other items include bagels, muffins, english muffins and cereal. Those selections are fine but the toaster for the bagels, etc. would not work properly. The supply of cereal sat on floor adjacent to the buffet table. An attendant to clean up buffet area, tables would be helpful. It seemed that guests needed to request everything - nothing was done in anticipation of needs, just as a reaction. "Not worth the money at all"
I think someone needs to thoroughly clean this place. The rug in the elevator was filthy and it smelled like cigarettes. Got stuck on the thing too. Wall paper was all lumpy and off in places, the toilet was not bolted to the floor. Somebodies hair (not mine) was in the bath tub. They made sure to tell me about breakfast the next morning. "Breakfast" […] was cereal, a waffle machine some danish, fruit (not cut up or peeled) and activia. Very poor value for the money although I had a good time with me friends. "Modest Price But Not Worth IT!"
Carpets in elevators and halls were unvacuumed and dirty. The closing mechanism on the door to our room was broken and hanging down so it had to be lifted out of the way to close the door. Common areas were drab and uninteresting and looked too well worn. One of the vending machine near the lobby was broken and the staff didn't seem to know which was […] broken or care to do anything about it (Cashier - "Oh, yeah, one of the guests told us a machine was broken, but I don't know which one. You can always use the ones on the next floor!"). The parking lot was crumbling and had large cracks and bumps. Breakfast service started at 6:00 and the cleaning staff picked 7:00 as the right time to wash the hall floors between the elevator lobby and the breakfast area. This place was way past its prime and no one seemed to care. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"There are better choices for the money."
The staff was quite nice, friendly, and responsive. The location was good and I enjoyed the free parking. The hotel was NOT recently renovated as listed. The first room I looked at, the wood veneers had been ripped off the front of the bureau and desk. The second room, which I stayed in, had black mold on the ceiling. The room AC never quite got cold […] enough to take any humidity out of the air. The glue on the bath mat was coming off and actually was floating in the bath tub. The bar closed at 11pm. The breakfast area was quite unbecoming, like the breakfast. I would recommend skipping the breakfast and going to Anna's on Silver Lane. The computer for business travelers was located in the front lobby and the entire front of the hardrive was off and laying on the floor, not attached. It is literally off the exit, so if you get a room with an odd last number, (1,3, 5, 7, 9) you will not be able to sleep due to heavy truck traffic on 84. This hotel is old and run down. The staff is doing the best with what they have to work with. I would recommend the Hampton Inn or nearby Extended Stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"This hotel is ok for one night stay"
The one area that does need some attention are the elevators, especially the left one. We were not sure if the door would ever open. It kept trying but finally had to push the door open button to get out.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is the creepiest place I have stayed in. I have been to several hotels in this area due to business for the last 3 months and I have never seen anything like this hotel. The hotel is completely falling apart. The carpets have massive stains (like bleach or something) the floors need new paint and/or wallpaper. The pool area is old and out […] dated. The breakfast in the morning was okay but the milk that they left out was gray and currdled. I am a smoker and requested a smoking room which was horrid. The smell was something terrible and I am a smoker. The toilet made this loud grumbling noise every time I flushed it and the showerhead was rusted. The wall paper had nasty looking stains dripping down the walls. The entire floor smelled so bad of drugs that I think I got high just walking to my room and the woman paying for tricks next door was just the icing on the cake. I will never stay here again. "Good for budget-minded traveler/short stay"
The hotel appears to be a mid-renovation state. The common areas were in great need of routine maintenance and cleaning, but my hotel room was very nice - clean, with up-updated furnishings and linens. The complimentary breakfast was ok, but it was served in a room that needed maintenance so that detracted. For my purposes, which was a place to sleep […] for one night, this hotel was just fine and well worth what I paid. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
