Four Points By Sheraton San Rafael - San Rafael

My overall experience was fine. The basic rooms are too framed. The bathrooms are too small. I will be relocating to the Bay Area. I will stay in a hotel for the next 2 weeks. I plan to look at other hotels. I would recommend the hotel for short stay guest.

room was comfortable although I wish the window would have opened more than a 1/4 inch. My problem was the room next door wheich nust of had several people as the door slammed several times during the nite.

it was a short visit - my only complaint is that when room service brought our breakfast, he simply put the tray on the desk! the tray was piled high and we had to spread it out on the desk and the bedside table. Is there some reason we couldn't have the rolling cart it arrived on?

Called teice for room service but no answer. Elevators broken. Restaurant non existent. Nothing around the area. Rooms clean but old.

The hotel is modest, clean and comfortable. We have relatives in San Rafael and staying here works well because of its proximity to the freeway. In addition there is a small mall within walking distance if I need to make a purchase. The breakfast buffet was nicely presented and waitstaff were attentive.

I think the Sheraton needs to invest in this hotel. Many things were good. The staff is very service oriented and friendly. The hotel needs to be refurbished. Rooms were tired and dark. Surrounding area -- parking lots and green areas were unkempt. Pool area is lovely. Hallways were dark.

no tv remote in the room, no wash clothes in room, no coffee left after initial check in for room, bar closed at 1030pm - so no drinks or food and no place to walk to to eat or drink nearby. otherwise - very nice hotel.

We were put on the zero floor, dragged our luggage down there and the key cards didn't work. The room has popcorn ceilings, is dark and musty. Very old air conditioner in the corner. The cabinet containing microwave and refridgerator was empty! The maintenance girl brought them in. The microwave cord wasn't ong enough so we left it on the floor. After a 22 hour international plane ride, was looking forward to a hot shower, and a restful sleep, before continuing my journey home by car. The hotel was adequate for meeting this need. I had to stay over Christmas due to my home flooding. The room itself was very nice and comfortable, a good bed, and a bathtub. No microwave, which for my long stay, was a bit of a problem. The ice machine on my floor was broken for most of my stay. However, when the fridge in my room did not work, a maintenance person was there within five minutes […] and fixed it right up. I did not take advantage of the pool or common areas, but the front reception area was nicely appointed and had a great fire going in the fireplace every night. good alternative for the price; very convenient amenities such as restaurant on premises and room service (which is convenient for the traveling businesswoman). Cofee in the lobby in the mornings, free wifi, courteous staff....all you really need. The place could benefit from recarpeting; but at that price I was ready to look the other way.

The bed and bedding was not as described. It was hard and uncomfortable. With not enough blankets and just 2 small balled up pillows for a king size bed... not acceptable! The heat/ac unit was super loud and not at all consistent, one minute I was freezing and the next burning up. Also the highway noise made it hard to sleep. The hotel had a back door (north building) and even though there was a sign posted that you have to use your room card for access at night.. it was open all the time (even propped open at times). Loved it. Very friendly and helpful personnel. One problem; Could no longer log on to the FPsanrafael wifi and funny things happened to the cursor of the laptop. Missed all the internet info. Lugged the laptop with us and still had to bother kids with service... Not good in a house with toddlers.

Nice hotel and staff. I walked into room at 11PM after working all day. The non-smoking room smelled like an ash tray. I was to tired to deal with switching rooms, so I took a shower and went to bed. I discovered there was a wet stain on the sheets of the bed. I stripped all of the bedding off and slept under the blanket that was in the closet. So, […] I slept in an ash tray smelling room with nasty dirty sheets. I complained to the front desk when I checked out and received the standard reply, "I'll make sure the manager get the message".
