The pool is in the 3rd floor, and has a nice view of the surrounding buildings. It was almost as warm as a hot tub which was a nice surprise.

This was my fourth time at this hotel. It is very convenient to the sky train and Metrotown. They were busy making improvements while there. The continental breakfast was good. They had pancakes eggs and sausages along with the usual fare. The beds were very comfortable. I will be back again.

Wasn't impressed at all, definitely a 2 star. I thought this would be like the new Holiday Inn Expresses in the US, this is much older, yes renovated but still, pretty run down. Location is not great at all, actually part of a somewhat ghetto-ish strip mall, quite a drive to downtown Vancouver. I wanted a hotel near the Skytrain so my friend and I could easily get to the city and not have to worry about driving. The Skytrain is right there, yet, its a quiet hum, not noisy at all. Aside from beds with soft mattress and some room smell when we first walked in, the room is reasonably clean with a large LCD TV, refridgerator, and microwave. The hotel is well located to the shopping malls in Burnaby, is relatively well priced, includes breakfast and underground parking. The staff is nice. The only problem, which was very frustrating is that the Wifi didn't work properly, which was quite frustrating. Most pages just timed out, even though my signal strength was high.

Room amenities are very sufficient -- got hairdryer, ironing and board, microwave, fridge, flat screen TV, pretty much got everything you'd expect. Location is pretty convenient, probably the best place in Burnaby. And I mean all the staff because I interacted with the front desk, housekeeping, security and food preparers of the continental breakfast and they were all very friendly and helpful. Exactly what I expected just like any other Holiday Inn Express. Nothing special about it. Breakfast was simple like a typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast. Rooms were somewhat noisy because of the Skytrains. Location was good, next to shopping mall and buses. In genearl, if you're not interested in shopping, not worth the price to stay there.

I was disappointed that the supplies were limited. No wine glasses, only one hot chocolate for two people, had to call desk for caffinated coffee, no body cream supplied. I could have called desk for all that was missing but couldn't be bothered. The room was great and the bed VERY comfortable.

The map looked pretty complicated, but a phone call to the hotel gave us detailed instructions that were more helpful. The hotel was clean and the hot continental breakfast was better than most.
