This was our first stay at the Ambassador. We were impressed. The hotel itself was fabulous. The decor is very beautiful and elegant. Service from employees was top notch, restaurant food was wonderful. We arrived a little early, so they had to rush to get our rooms ready (they had them booked incorrectly). So our room was not completely clean, needed vacuuming, and glass was smeared. But overall the room was tidy and very nicely furnished. I am a light sleeper, so the worst part of this hotel was the noise. Although the location is convenient, there was much loud banging about every hour or so throughout the night. I was awakened at least 6 times during the night. There is construction going on next door, so I don't know if that was the cause for the noise, if they were working through the night. The street noise was also noticeable, especially when semi-trucks went through. But I would give this hotel a second chance, as I felt like I was staying in New York and not Wichita, based on the atmosphere of the hotel. Very posh and comfortable. Perhaps the noise will be less on our next stay.

First thing when walking in, it smelled like Mold. Room was smelly and the walls and ceiling had water stains. the lighting was poor! The Sausage Gravy had Garlic in it. The room next to ours was supposed to be non-smoking and the people in it were smoking. I did tell the person at the desk. The Hallway door had to be opened to air it out. We got put […] into a Handicap excessable room, which we did not need. On the positive side, this hotel was located right off the Turnpike and the people at the counter were excellent. The breakfast overall was good. The bed was comfortable and there was not alot of noise. We stayed 3 nights and 1 of those nights we aquired the ajoining room for our grandchildren to spend the night. Bottom line, you get what you pay for! Place needs updating. I had a very good and welcoming stay! when i first walked in i was greeted promptly and by more than one person. The evening front desk Tyler was very helpful not only to myself but i also noticed how helpful he was to other guest that were staying at the hotel

Staff is unfamiliar with area attractions and how to get to them. The pool was small which was a big bummer for the kids, but it did not matter much since it was TOO cold to swim in for very long. Cookies from 5-7 were not there the first night, again a bummer for the kids. Breakfast had a few issues.... biscuits were cold inside, sausage came about […] halfway through the 6-10 am time and they shut the room and locked the door each morning at 9:50. Most of this could be overlooked considering the cost of the stay, but the lack of towels was a huge issue for us. We only started out with three towels even though the room had two double beds and was booked for a family of four. Kids went swimming one night and we forgot to get new towels. At 6:30 the next morning we went to the front desk and asked if we could have more four more towels and we were told they were out, that kids had used them all up in the pool the night before. Two hours later they still did not have towels and said that they could not get any until houskeeping arrived. Would seem to me they could have gone into any unoccupied room and taken towels out. They did offer us new washcloths, but that was not too helpful. Read more

I just love to use hot tubs, so when I booked a room I made sure it had a hot tub, got there and it was out of order. I also thought the tub and shower were filthy. Since this was my first experience with expedia, I was nervous. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel and the staff. The inside was much better than the ourside. The parking lot had a few holes. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator and microwave, but that is my only complaint.

We stayed at several AmericInn's during our trip. This one is the worst one we stayed in. The room with two queen beds was very small, no mini refrigerator, microwave, very few staff members (only saw one or two per shift).

A very nice and clean hotel for sleeping. The pool depth would be for families with young chi ldren, high school age would not enjoy because the pool is to shallow.

The bathroom was small, and shaped weird. They did have a nice small indoor pool. The breakfast was good. They did check us out before we even checked out. That made it kindof hard to get back in when we loaded the truck on our way out. There was a lot of construction on the road to the hotel, and no street name where you turn in.

There is alot of construction on the street in front of the hotel, making it a little dificult to get to. But it was a clean room and quite. I liked that the hotel was non-smoking. Plan on staying there again next weekend.
