Drove from Phoenix to Monument Valley and booked this hotel on hotels.com before we left. Thought we'd be pulling into a grungy roadside motel but were delightfully surprised with recently remodeled, modern looking rooms. Front desk was a little understaffed so check-in was slow. Concrete/brick walls made for a great sound barrier to neighboring rooms - even with 2 barking dogs next to ours, we were able to get a good night's rest. Nothing horrible but so basic and the in-house restaurant hardly makes it worth 3 stars. Service average and we were charged FAR too much ($188) for what it offers and the town is totally avoidable..

We did a 1 night stop after a visit to Monument Valley. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. The restaurant was surprisingly good. There is not a lot to choose from close to Monument Valley, this was better than expected.

This is an average hotel for an above average price. But there are few other options in this remote location. Breakfast buffet was good, but there were a couple of minor maintenance deficiencies (faulty toilet, broken glass in parking area). The latter complaint could have been a major one, had I gotten a flat tire so far from a tire repair shop.

Hotel staff friendly and helpful, restaurant good , try local dishes. The fry bread is the best! Spent two days at hotel and toured around the area. The people of the the Navajo Nation are warm and friendly. You get the feeling that you're in another country.

This was a nice quiet, clean location, during April. Can't say what it would be like during the more intense tourist season. I was there to visit Monument Valley, which is 20 miles north up the highway. The staff is very nice and helpful. They do need to upgrade the wifi though. An older property, but overall was well maintained and has been updated thru the years, the beds were firm - comfortable. The attached restaurant is probably your best full service dining option other than the two local fast food establishments.

My visit was in Dec during off season and there were lots of maintenance, repair, and upgrades taking place. But my room had repairs that were not completed. The bathroom door had black glue from the full length mirror and the bathroom ventilation van was broken.

There are few choices for lodging in the area. The reception area was being refurbished and appeared quite shabby. While we were checking in a workman continually opened the front door of the hotel letting in freezing wind. Staff seemed very distant. Guest room was actually quite nice though.

My only complaint is that the hotel charges your card $20 upon arrival for incidentals that may or may not occur & it takes 4 weeks for them to reimburse you! Not happy with this!!

The stay at the Kayenta Inn was pleasant. It does have a computer for use in the main lobby if you need internet connection. The room was comfortable and the service was fine. The location of the hotel was good. We found it convenient for any kind of exploration you might want to do in this area.

we had a comfortable 2 night stay at this hotel. it was also convenient to enjoy the dining room on the premises without having to leave. you are sort of in the middle of nowhere in Kayenta without alot of options so it worked well for us. it was reasonable as well.

Part of the hotel has ac other part does not. The section of the hotel without ac you must park behind room which makes packing the car difficult. Regarding the restaurant menu is very nice. Serving are good size and the food is good.

You have to remember when you visit Monument Valley you are in the middle of nowhere. This hotel is the ony game in town unless you want to stay at the much more expensive spots in the valley. Very marginal service for the price. Restaurant was very expensive for the food that was served. My wife and I each had a small bowl of soup with salad bar, and our bill was $29. The salad bar had lettuce and about four other things to put on the salad. Worst salad bar for the price that I have ever seen.
