Went to see Valley of the Monuments. Staff was top notch! This was my wife's favorite place to stay! The whole town treated us like a favorite Aunt or Uncle. Wonderful people!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cold night at the Inn!"
The heat did not work! The staff offered to move rooms for mr, but it was 2:00 am, and the room was on other side of hotel. I asked for space heater, but they ran out! I had to get up at 4:30 am for work. Awful night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pricey, like everywhere in Kayenta"
Pretty pricey for what you get, but matches the going rate in Kayenta. If you are set on staying near Monument Valley, you're going to have to pay. Bottom line...the staff is very nice and the hotel is clean and you're very close to Monument Valley and it's going to cost you about 50 bucks/night above what you'd pay in any other small, southwestern […] town NOT near Monument Valley. the hotel is nice and rooms are beautifully modernly decorated. THE BEST MATTRESS WE EVER HAS IN A HOTEL!! This place was very nice and close to Monument Valley which was our objective. I think they ran out of hot water as the shower was luke warm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel booking at your peril"
The only hotel in 67 days travelling where we had to pay extra for breakfast! Neighbouring room unoccupied had alarm go off the two mornings we stayed before 6 am for 3 hours! Most expensive hotel we stayed at because final cost was bumped up by over $20 per day with tax after tax added on the advertised price. Restaurant for dinner only opened if enough […] occupants! Convenient location. Short drive to Monument Valley. The only complaint we had with the room is they used cleaning products & laundry detergent with a fragrance scent. Would recommend staying there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I used this hotel for my trip to Monument Valley. Price was a bit costly comparing with Hilton hotels, but still it was acceptable. Room clenriness was nice and it was comfort. Air conditioner should be more modernized to warm appropriately.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Stay at Monument Valley"
All was good. The hotel was nice, the staff was helpful and the place was cozy. I only had a minor observation. I indicated to the service that the top security lock was loose and needed a Phillips screw driver for tightening. They said they would send someone to fix it but the person did not come. I still felt safe with lock and a dead bold working. […] Overall it was a good place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel reminds me of an episode of Criminal Minds. The guest service rep who checked me in was not very friendly. I asked him about Monument Vally and he was almost surprised that I was there for that tourist attraction. He reluctantly answered my questions. Then we went to our room which was way in the back of the hotel. We were back there all […] by ourselves. The "secure" door to the hallway was not latched. Our room itself was disgusting. There was some sort of black substance oozing from the ceiling and the wall. I walked on the carpet with my socks on -- good thing because they were filthy after walking only a few minutes around the room. I trekked down the hall to get ice. Big surprise - the ice machine did not work. All in all, very disappointing considering we paid a pretty penny for this hotel. But that's what you get when they are the only option in the area. "Nicely decorated rooms"
Our room was clean and nicely decorated but the AC didn't work and the door had been kicked in at some point so engaging the lock was difficult. The TV worked fine, and so did the TV in the room above us - which we could clearly hear. The ceiling in our room was wood and looked very nice but sound traveled right through. So, I guess if you happen to […] be out in this corner of Arizona, this isn't a terrible place to stay, but it's not perfect. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"You just had to ask!"
Not a pleasant stay! The toilet was not bolted down and maintenance couldn't fix it until the next day! We could have moved but who wants to when you are ready for bed and unpacked. A dreary place where the windows are so filthy you cannot see out. Everything costs extra and the hotel is really spread out. A terrible value!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The property is a re-done 70's (?) Holiday Inn. Location is pretty desolate, but with easy and quick access to Monument Valley. Though old, the property and rooms have been nicely updated. Room had new furniture, comfy king bed and nice bathroom. Front desk personnel were efficient but not overly welcoming. Had breakfast buffet which was standard fare, […] but a good value. Pricey but very good - room was just great. Best hotel on our West Coast Tour. Handy restaurant but beware no alcohol because on Navaho Reservation. Very close to Monument Valley (30 min drive).Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel is only 20 miles away from the Monument Valley. Shops and gas stations are on the same street. Hotel has a nice restaurant, but other options are near by. Room was great, we were only missing a fridge. Would stay here again, even for longer term.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Near Monument Valley. Nice rooms, very clean. Good restaurant. Value for money.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK overnight stay on the road - but expensive!"
Basic hotel and suitable for an overnight while travelling, albeit very expensive - there just aren't many choices so they stick you. Room was clean and in good repair. Restaurant is good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is conveniently located 20 minutes by car from Monument Valley at literally at the junction between US-160 and US-163. The wi-fi was fast and consistent and the bed comfortable. Definitely will stay here when we return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Expensive but satisfactory"
Quick checkin, pleasant room. I guess they charge a high price because they can...there aren't a lot of choices. The room and linens were clean and furniture and walls in good repair.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A standard hotel, but overpriced"
The hotel is nothing special but you only have limited supply in the area. FYI: Navajo law says it's illegal to sell alcohol, so bring your own.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tired holiday inn"
The hotel was formerly a Holiday Inn and has not been really updated in a long time. "Overpriced rude service."
I booked this hotel because it was supposedly pet friendly. We took our dog with us into the lobby to check in and were treated to total rudeness. Dogs were not allowed in the lobby of this 'pet unfriendly' hotel. There was no sign on the door of the lobby stating this. Also the motel is grossly overpriced for what was a very basic room. Towels were […] thin and they were skimpy on the bathroom toiletries . I recommend not staying here unless you like being over charged. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pricey for an only average Inn"
Considering how expensive the room was at this hotel I expected it to be a little nicer. I would say the property looks like a slightly upgraded old Travel Lodge type building. As far as my own room, there was loose wallpaper in the bathroom as well as a large patched area of the ceiling which had not even been painted yet. Also, I basically had no […] Wifi service during my whole stay. The strongest signal I ever got was only two bars. The few times I did make an internet connection the signal would quickly be lost and I would get booted off. The desk staff told me that my rate did not include a breakfast that is provided for some guests. I wish they hadn't told me that since that meant even though I had paid an exorbitant room rate (for an only average room) I wasn't even receiving the breakfast service others had. Finally, the door to my room stuck and I had to literally hit it with my shoulder to open it every time I entered. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good place to stay - but you will PAY"
Everything was fine, but it cost over $200 for my one bed, one person room. The attached restaurant was very good, and reasonably priced. All the staff people were great. However, I'll check the new Hampton Inn next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place in great area"
The room are large and clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is good. Too bad there isn't much to do in Kayenta but the location so close to Monument Valley makes it a great place to stay while visiting the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Be Aware of a lot of taxes"
We ordered the hotel because we wanted to go to monument Valley the day after. There is not a lot of hotels out there and Kayenta Inn had reasonable prices for that standard. Of course we could have checked our self before but we didnt expected that taxes could be that much higher just because we were in the Navajo area. In total we end up patient more […] than 40 dollars in taxes for one night! Around 25 %. Nice place but it was an unpleasent suprise checkning out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is expensive because it's quiet the only one in this region. It is a big hotel with pool and a lot of rooms. A restaurant and a shop are part of the hotel, fast foods and gas station are just next to the hotel. The room are very confortable (but no fridge).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to my work"
The room was showing some age. Paint and stain peeling. Windows need resealed.Genuine Expedia guest review
I only booked because nothing else was available in the area on the date I needed. Exorbitant rate for a clean but ordinary room. Restaurant was expensive and the food was just mediocre. "Exploiting the Captive Market"
I was surprised to find this so called "resort" at the intersection of two major roads. Fortunately the noise was not as bad as I expected. I had been given a room on the ground floor to be near to my motorcycle. The A/C was running when I opened the door, which was a nice touch given the 100 degree temperature outside. The rooms were very clean and […] my first one had an updated bathroom. Sadly the plumbing had not been updated and at about 9:PM I found the floor of the bathroom and the bath flooded with raw sewage. I can only assume this was a back-up caused by the two bus loads of tourists that arrived an hour or so prior. I called maintenance and was given another room on the other side of the property and on the second floor. The hotel's idea of assisting me was to point in the general direction of the new room and wish me good luck with moving my own stuff. The second room was hot and stuffy and had an old fashion stand alone A/C that was very noisey. It took a couple of hours for the temperature to become comfortable, meaning it was not a great nights sleep. I ate at the restaurant which was also extremely under whelming. This was the most expensive hotel I stayed at on a 7 day road trip. I can only think they exploit the location near to monument valley because I saw much better accommodation for half the price in other places. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel obviously has little competition in Kayenta so they charge exorbitant prices for really mediocre facilities and service. To anyone visiting Monument Valley I would recommend staying in another town where you can get acceptable value for your moneyGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good for a short stay"
The lokation is good for a short stay, but the service for breakfirst was poor. The breakfast buffet for a prize of 9,90 US$ has little choices and was not refilled very often. The served you a coffe, but you have to ask for a cup. The qualitiy of the room is very nice and comfortable. So stay in and dine out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall this was a nice hotel, however, it was a bit expensive. I saw only 2 hotels in the area, but you pay for the location. The staff was friendly and our hotel room was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This was a nice hotel room was nice but it shouldve been for over $200. Yes I know you pay for the location. They had a restaurant but you didn't get a free breakfast or even coffee with your room like any other hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Kayenka Monument Valley Inn"
I had read the reviews regarding this hotel and was a little scared . I can say the the hotel was clean and the room was the "standard" motel room. Was a little disappointed that it had no refrigerator or hairdryer. WiFi worked well in the 300 building and we did have control over our A/C and no issue with hot water in the morning. The cost of the room […] was compatible to other hotels in the area. We were only 1/2hr from Monument Valley ,which was the main reason for our visit to the area. We order dinner the first night and was very disappointed in the quality of food and also it was served cold. The next morning we did not eat the breakfast buffet but ordered our meal from the menu. The meal was hot and reasonably priced. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Way overpriced but they have you cornered"
Unfortunately you have slim pickings if you are in this area (presumably to visit Monument Valley or Grand Canyon). Very expensive for a very average or even possibly sub-average motel. I guess it must not get warm all that often here, because you don't have any air conditioning in these rooms, at least not any that you are in control of. It was super […] hot and stuffy when we were there and it was early May. I'd hate to see it in August. I should note that I haven't had a/c at my residence for the past 8 years, so this is saying a lot. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
