Visit Time: Off Season. October.Weekend. Check-In time was less than 5 mins. Probably since we checked in late night. Could see long queue for Check in next day morning. PF Changs, McD, Pink are all close by food options for someone who wants to spend less on food. Deuce Bus station is 2 minute walk from Ballys. 8$ daily pass will take you along entire strip and even more. There is no need to rent a car. And Deuce is cheaper and has more access than monorail. Chose this hotel due to proximity to the strip. Had 2 rooms first was filthy and smells awful. Busted light bulbs and carpet was extremely dirty and soiled. Pillows were disgusting and bed was worn out. There was no mention of construction going. Toilet smells like public urinal. For the second rm I got a 2 double bed instead of king as booked. I was charged additional fee $36.00,$18.00 for one day two days stay called (resort fee?), for unlimited internet and local call. I only use one local call and toll free number. Didn't enjoy the hotel overall. Had problems right away at check-in, no non-smoking room available, wanted us to take a smoking room then move the next day at there covienance not ours. Had to get Manager to get a non-smoking room without moving next day. Hotel very smokey, air not cycled out on a regular basis, smoke hung at head height in lobby. WE COMPLAINED TO THE HOTEL DESK PERSON AND ALL SHE SAID WAS, "WELL THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO BECAUSE YOU DID NOT BOOK YOUR ROOM DIRECLTY WITH THE HOTEL AND WE CAN NOT CHANGE YOU TO A ROOM OVERLOOKING THE STRIP". THEY DID NOT EVEN REDUCE THE PRICE OF THE ROOM OR OFFER ANY OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS. THEN WHEN WE CHECKED OUT, WE WERE CHARDED $20.00 FOR INTERNET AND WE NEVER USED IT AS WE COULD NOT GET CONNECTED TO IT. The hotel is well maintained and in a centrally located place in the heart of the strip. It's a short walk to Caesae's Palace, Bellagio, Paris, Planet Hollywood, etc. The rate is very reasonable considering its location. "Great location, but next time, I'd rather pay extr"
Pros: Bally's is in the middle of the strip, so its great if you plan on visiting all of the big hotels along the strip. Stayed in the renovated South Tower (Jubilee), and the room was quite nice. Checkout was quick and efficient. Cons: WiFi was included in the resort fee, but my phone and tablet all had trouble connecting and ultimately maintaining […] a connection. When it was connected, it was super slow. Also, checking in was a lengthy process. Arrived at Bally's at 11:20pm, and the line to check in was a long one. By the time it was my turn to check in, they told me that according to their system, I was booked for the North Tower, even though I had paid for the South Tower. After arguing with the representative, they finally agreed to put me in a room in the South Tower, on the catch that I would have to move to a new room on the very next night, otherwise, I would face a penalty. So, the next day, I visited the front desk, and the individual behind the counter put me in the North Tower, saying that one cannot book the South Tower room on 3rd party sites like Hotels.com, which I told him is untrue. After further arguing, another representative finally gave me the room I had booked and paid for. It was such as hassle and I almost missed my shuttle to my Grand Canyon tour. After a 7 hrs long drive, I arrived at Bally's to check into the hotel. There were 3 persons working at the VIP line and only 1 slow like a turtle person at regular line, it take 1 hr of waiting in line to check in while vip take about 0-2 mins. It really made me mad watching all those vip people came in 10-60 mins later than I am and got served before […] me. I already chose and prepaid for the premium room. At the counter, that slow turtle said there isn't any room available and though i booked and paid for the room, it is not guaranteed. However, they have a newly renovated floor that still have those type of room I wanted. I just have to pay $30 more. I was too tired so i just pay and go on. 2 days before that the same thing happened at Rios which is also owned by same group. I tried not to let this ruin my vacation. Smack in the middle of the strip. You can walk to several of the big name hotels or ride the monorail (station in back of Bally's) all the way north to the Stratosphere or south to Mandalay Bay. We upgraded our room to the new South Tower for $40 per night. The room was excellent with a view of the Paris Hotel and Eiffel Tower. So we were very happy with the room. The casino area was way too smoky - if smoking is to be allowed, better ventilation needs to be provided to allow non-smokers the ability to breathe!
