I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was in Bally's. I knew it was an older hotel but the room was very comfortable, carpet was clean, thermostat worked perfectly and beds were better than average. I paid extra for two queens, only to discover they don't guarantee room types. We were placed in a one-bed room with a roll away directly adjacent to night club. I was there for a conference and the hotel was convenient. the check in took a ridiculous amount of time. I actually timed how long it took when we had one person in front of us and it was a full 15 minutes which is why it took over an hour with only 6 people in front of us when we first got in line! This hotel was in a great location, in the center of everything! We only had some issues with checking in, which took a looooong time and we weren't explained well how to get to our room. Also, parking was free, but also a pain and far from our room. "OK Hotel, TERRIBLE Customer Service"
This was not a great experience for us. My wife and I were finally visiting Las Vegas and decided to stay on the Strip for fun. We were told that a pool would be open, but turns out they're only open during certain times. Bally's is connected to the Paris hotel, which also has a pool. The sign said you could use that one if the Bally pool was closed. […] Turns out they were both closed but no one bothered to put up a sign before I spent 30 minutes finding the Paris pool. The staff was very unfriendly. We couldn't get a cart to haul our luggage in. One guy flat out refused, while the other spoke poor English so I gave up. I hauled everything in on my own. The front desk worker was coarse and not polite. The overall feel of the hotel was ok. My wife went to the car (which is a very long trip from the hotel rooms) and could not remember what room number we were in. She did not have her phone or her wallet. When she attempted to seek help from the staff they treated her like a criminal, even though she had one of our room keys. They refused to offer her any kind of assistance. (I will add that she is 6 months pregnant at this point.) So she eventually borrowed someone's cell phone and called me, but I was blown away by how terrible the customer experience was. Stayed over Xmas 2014. Our room had a small living area with a sofa and a queen size bed. The room is huge and our room was serviced by Ms. Yolanda. I have never had better service in a room!! "Misleading statement on amenities"
When we booked we made special request for a microwave oven as we were traveling with a baby and needed to warm his milk which is his primary food. I understood that special requests are not always guaranteed but was counting on my previous experiences in other hotels where it was always provided to me at some point during the stay. I also called the […] hotel a week before the arrival date to remind about this request. I was told that we can talk to the check-in staff upon arrival and they will try their best to provide it. However, upon arrival we were told oven was *never* provided to guests as a policy at this hotel. That means when we were told best effort will be made to accommodate our request at the time of booking, we were blatantly lied to. I would not have written this review had it not been for the sickness our child is facing upon return. We had to feed him cold milk as the options to warm it were limited near Bally's. Upon returning he has been suffering from severe constipation and regular bowel pain for more than 24 hours that required a visit to the clinic and a couple of sleepness nights for all of us. "over promise and under delivered"
When we checked in we were told the only room available was a smoking room even though we booked a nonsmoking room. We took the room after one of their supervisors promised us a free upgrade to a junior suite and $25 in drink\food credits. The junior suite was nice and roomy, surprisingly smelled quite clean, and not too smoky... albeit a bit dated […] with an old 60s era radio and TV and old wall papers. We were pretty happy with the beds and bathroom. However upon checkout, that's when the hotel under delivered. The clerk told us that there was no record of our $25 credit. We even produced the names of the check-in clerk and his supervisor who came to talked to us and gave us the credit. But the checkout clerk and her supervisor refused to acknowledge the credit and told us that they can't honor it. After ~20min of going back and forth, we ended up no where. We felt mislead and disappointed. Although $25 is not a large amount, it's the principle of it and the experience left a negative feeling for us. This hotel just lost a customer over $25. "First Time in Las Vegas.."
Our first time here. Location was perfect but hotel front was under construction and that made it inconvenient. At check in was bothered by solicitors offering free show tickets for exchange of tour. No problem except the 2 hour tour was a 4 hour ordeal which cut into our trip and resulted in adding a day. Also important....they give you free things, […] but we found out hard way that the staff for the Wyndham tours are uneducated to the show schedule and buffet closers... Room was large but bed was hard and toilet hardly flushed a small bit of toilet paper...Would have liked more information to the shows that were offered at the hotel as well as the tram, it was our first time and information would have been very helpful, its a big place...Valet was nice and no problems there. There was a resort fee and I would be okay with that however half the resort ammonites were closed so I should have not had to pay the whole resort fee...that seems like a rip off.
