Front desk woman was rude, both when we checked in and out. Said she hates third party vendors such as hotels.com. We said two people they had us listed for one. We said Double beds, they had King listed. Great location though.

It's a good hotel overall with nice pools, directly on the beach. Just outside are many shops, malls and restaurants. Those are very touristy, but that's to be expected from a tourist location. The really annoying thing was the Internet connection. Only WiFi was available, so download rates were bad, especially with the low signal levels in my room. […] My Kindle couldn't couldn't get an Internet connection because of their web-based authentication. We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Aruba. We were the first guests to stay in a newly renovated ocean-front top floor room. Everything was brand new, and the view was stunning. The building renovations were not complete, so there were very few other rooms occupied, and it was very quiet. I thought the hotel was very nice. I only really have one issue that the hot water in the new section of the hotel wasn’t working it seemed. I didn’t mention it to the hotel since I was just staying overnight for business and I forgot when I checked out. The hotel seemed to be located in a great spot all kinds of restaurants and stores.

The Holiday Inn has one of the best locations, most all restaurants are in walking distance and plenty of shopping areas are right out the front door. Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts are a quick walk from the front desk. In my opinion this hotel has one of the best beaches with plenty of tiki huts and palm trees to lounge under. Our ac was broke for 24 hrs. When it was fixed, it poured water all over the carpet. It took 2 days for us to be moved to another room. Housekeepers were great, but should leave the doors open when they are in there. Great location. 2 pools, one is for adults, the other for kids. Our kids were 7 and 9 and the kids pool was really for 5 and under. Jacuzzi […] was warm at best. Iguana bar had decent food, but service was ok. Great location! Close to restaurants. Plenty of beach activities. Bus stop right in front of hotel. We spent a week here and loved every minute of it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lobby bar makes a great arubarita! We would stay again without hesitation.

Famly friendly hotel that had a diverse mix of people of all ages. I went solo and enjoyed myself. Good security, no loud noise, I felt very safe even walking by myself at night. On arrival I was assigned a room with a parking lot view and a double bed after having booked, and paid for an ocean view room with king bed . Hotel location on Palm Beach was good, and hotel room was clean and comfortable. But quality of service was poor. It took us over 30 minutes to check in as the front desk could not locate our reservation (as they had our name incorrect), and did not give us a king bed which we reserved 3 months prior to our visit. So we had a room with two double beds. […] We reserved towels with our room card, and kept the towels for several days, but when we went to exhange the towels for clean ones we were told there were no exchanges. We eventually prevailed in getting vclean beach towels. Prior to checking out we asked the hotel on information for printing out our boarding passes. We were told the hotel did not provide the service and had to go "across the street" to a local business that could do it. When we complained we were then told that the printer was broken. We were transferred to a hotel manager who said she would print out our passes, and she eventually did. When it came time to check out there was no way to do this except via a personal appearance at the front desk. There was no "express checkout" via the TV. In short, the service at the Holiday Inn may have been typical for the island, but when we went to other resort properties for dinner or activities they appeared to be much more efficient and technologically current. Great Location!!!!! I would definitely stay here again, only a few minor issues, there is an ice machine on each floor, but only 1 ice machine in the hotel seemed to work, of course it was 2 floors above us, which was an inconvenice for us because we like to sit out on the balcony at night and have a drink with ice or ice down some beer to enjoy out […] there. The night stand beside our bed (at no exageration) looked like it had not been dusted in months!! Which was a little disheartening due to the fact the cleaning person had to go to the nightstand everyday & punch her code in the telephone to confirm she had cleaned the room, she had to have noticed the dust, I purposely wrote a note in the dust hoping she would notice. The internet was slow and kept kicking you off of it, and you would have to continually re-enter the password. After first checking into our room, we went down to the front desk to ask the internet code & about the ice machine, the common answer was always sorry I dont know i cant help you! Beautiful beach, great location, great price, if you can stand the little issues it is a great bargain. I do not typically write reviews but this hotel has a lot of mixed reviews thought this may help. It is not the Hyatt, but you are not paying Hyatt prices! We had arrived at the hotel before check in time but the man at the front desk said that we could still use the amenities. I went to go get towels for the beach but was told that I could not get towels unless I had pool passes which require a room number. She was not friendly but nonetheless, found a room that was ready, therefore, I was now able to receive towel cards. The room did not seem ready to me: the bathroom had lots of hair in it, the conditioner that was supplied by the hotel was half empty and had hair wrapped all around it, and the comforter also had hair all over it. It was disgusting. There was also a bad smell in the hallway when you got off the elevator. Beach lounge chairs were also hard to come by. I would definitely not recommend staying at this hotel. Located in great section of Aruba next to Mall & Restaurants. The mall center had shows every night at 8pm great for kids. Hotel has two pools (one for kids), is on the beach and you can reserve a spot every evening. Hotel also had great deals staying 4 nights 5 night free, 5 nights with 2 nights free. The staff not very helpful. Our first night there they started charging us for drinks and we were all inclusive. I finally had to get the manager to straighten it out. Next we had an issue in the room Now with a mold like smell from the air conditioner. They said they would send someone right up. They said that they have forwarded to the General Manager of the hotel and that they would get back t me in 48 hours but it has been a week and no answer so i had to send a nasty email again to them today. Your Review Holiday Inn Resort Aruba - Beach Resort and Casino Not luxury but decent clean rooms with many upgrades. Oceanfront upgrade was really nice for sunset viewing although there seemed to be a urine smell on the balcony. Sliding door appeared to be broken and had been repaired with a metal hook. Food was good, salads were fresh, tuna real good... […] all resturaunts outside the resort are high so you may want to consider all inclusive. We liked the proximaty of the pool to the beach although both hot tubs were not working and one of the buildings was completely closed for renevations. Lots of new shopping right across the street with a beautiful new mall, cinema and bowling alley. Kids stay and eat for free so if you don't mind screaming kids you'll be fine. If you want shade on the beach, you must reserve a hut the day before and be prepared to wait in line....and you still may not get one. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful so be prepared to tip them. The dollar is worth almost twice as much as the Florin so keep that in mind when tipping. Read more

The good - Room was fairly cheap with a nice view. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was great as you are right next to the Marriott, Hyatt, Radisson, various restaurants, shopping and night life, etc. The casino was fine (small, but fine). Casino employees and bellhops were very friendly. The Bad - 1) The wifi is terrible. My Iphone was kicked off of the wifi every 10 minutes (or every time i locked my phone, even for a second). I couldn't be more annoyed. Also, the signal wasn't great and there were many interruptions where the wifi was down. 2) They restrict you to one towel per person on the beach. Don't bother asking for 2. I'm supposed to be on vacation. You're supposed to give me what I want. We checked out the Hyatt afterwards who said they give unlimited towels. 3) No food/drink waitress service on the beach/pool. 4) The beach chairs are horrible. They need to get rid of them and upgrade. 5) No snacks/minibar/water in the rooms. Just an empty fridge. 6) The food (breakfast and lunch only...we went out to nice dinners) is mediocre. I would NOT recommend doing an all-inclusive here. There are plenty of happy hour places nearby and better hotels, cafes, restaurants, etc to grab breakfast and lunch. Read more

Check-in line was long and slow, our room wasn't ready. We were told to return at 4 PM. It still wasn't ready, The sofa in our room was old, spotted, appeared dirty. Only one small bureau in the room. Restaurants ran out of cereal. Bar ran out of ingredients for favorite cocktail.

They appeared to have to work too desk at one time and that left them trying to do too many things at once. The staff is not at fault in this situation, they were doing the best they could. Everything was great at the hotel. The only thing missing was a tub (had a 1 yr. old with us), but we made do without it. They had a breakfast/dinner buffet that was awesome every time we went.
