"Could not be more disatisfied"
Would never advised the Holiday Inn Mayfair to anyone We arrived to check in late at night, the room was no available as they had a problem with their system. While we were 4 people, they wanted to give us a room for 3 people (king size bed + sofa bed). They said it would be only for the first night and that the day after we would be moved to a room […] with 2 queen size beds. However, when we checked the first room offered to us, it was for 4 people to sleep in there. After complaining again, we obtained 2 rooms with each 1 queen size bed. However, the second room was horribly stinking like mould. We had to sleep the window open. Then, 2 days after, we came back from the city at around 5:00pm to take a shower. When we arrived at the hotel room, we were missing towels. We asked and they said that they had a problem with the delivery so would be hard for them to provide us with towels immediately. The day after, the hair dryer was not working. The cleaning lady came to check, said that she would bring another one that would work, she never came back to fix the problem. To sum up: dirty, old, bad maintenance, poor services. Only positive thing: good location, right next to the Ritz hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location, Good Choice for Families"
This hotel was perfect for our needs (family of four, double room). The location is excellent, across the street from the Ritz, around the corner from the Green Park tube station (several lines run through there so very easy to get to everything), and there is a Starbucks, Boots, and Marks & Spencer nearby. From Heathrow, just take the Picadilly tube […] line straight to the hotel. The Jubilee line will take you to Kings Cross/St. Pancras for the Eurostar to Paris. Picadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, and Tralfagar Square are all within easy walking distance. The room was a bit small by American standards, but adequate. The lifts were both working when we were there, and they are tiny but many hotels in Europe have no lift at all so we were grateful. The room was clean and comfortable although the furniture was a bit beat up. We opened the window at night as the room tended to be a little stuffy otherwise. The pillows were plentiful and the beds were comfortable. The bath was small but clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The shower pressure was great! The only criticism is that Picadilly Road was under construction during our stay so walking along that street was difficult; however, the hotel is not at fault there. "Pleasantly surprised by Holiday Inn Mayfair"
On our recent visit to London, my family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Mayfair. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It had a great location that allowed us to travel easily by foot to many attractions. It was also in a beautiful section of London known as Mayfair. While it may not be the Ritz, the Holiday […] Inn was a good choice for a economical hotel that could sleep four. I was very pleased with my stay there and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel that has larger rooms for a family. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is all about the location. The hotel is clean and perfectly adequate. The service was intermediate. The water pressure was comically high power. What makes this hotel perfect, especially for family travelers is the location. This is right on Picadilly walking distance from many major destinations. Walking distance to Picadilly Circus/Leichester […] Square. Walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, etc. Kitty corner a across the street on Berkely St is a small market with fruit and freshly baked bread, muffins, etc. Easy to buy breakfast and snacks for a family of 5 before the kids are awake. The cab stand at the hotel always had taxis and the Tube and buses are right there. For convenience, this location and middle of the road hotel fit the bill. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"london spring break"
After reading less than perfect reviews, we were a little leary about the hotel. We wanted a hotel where 4 of us could share a room so went ahead and booked. We had an excellent experience. Althought the room was small compared to USA rooms it was large for the UK (my 5th trip to London) and was very adequate for 2 adults and 2 high school students. […] The hotel was clean, lifts both worked, the staff were personable and helpful. The central location one block from the Green Park tube stop was excellent for getting all around London. There was a Marks & Spencers to go store close for inexpensive (by London standards) easy snacks and light meals a half block away. There were several coffee shops close by as well. Good location, clean, and friendly: we would stay again. Only downside: matresses were too soft. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Average hotel in good location"
Everything was fine about the hotel, great location... only problem was noise from others and staff taping carpet (ready for painting) early hours of the morning. Not good, when you are looking forward to a lie in on a Saturday morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Block away from Green Park Underground. Even with first floor room outside elevator nice and quiet...comfy bed and pillows. Hotel little older. Breakfast buffet was crowded but good to start the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good value for the location but needs a facelift."
Spent 4 nights here a few weeks ago with the family of four. Very obliging in getting us a temporary room before ours was ready after a very early arrival into London. Room décor was a bit tired and troublesome toilet in our room meant we had to have a room change at 11pm one evening half way through our stay after 2 attempts to fix. To their credit […] though resolved our problem quickly. 100m from Piccadilly circus and walking distance to the tube and lots of the London sights as well as Regent and Oxford St shopping. managed to get 3 adults as one son was over 12 he counts as an adult and 1 child into one room ( two double beds) Beds were soft. Hotel stingy with room facilities, no hot chocolate, only one packet of biscuits between 4 and only 3 towels for 4 people. Eldest son ironed his shirt before we left for birthday celebratations and the iron left dirty black […] marks on the shirt which had to be thrown away as they could not be removed. Clean iron supplied but no one interested in damage to shirt. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Despite our having prepaid for this hotel, the hotel charged our credit card again for the full amount of the stay. As they charged it in pounds, we had to pay a large conversion fee. By the time the refund went through, the exchange rate had changed and so we lost money. They claimed it was a mix up in bills. This totally overshadowed our first favourable […] impression when we were given an early check in: most welcome after a long flight. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel, location, location, location"
We enjoyed this hotel a great deal, got a great rate, breakfast was excellent, staff a little slow when dealing with you, but the major point is it's location. 30 secs from Park Lane, 1 min from the tube. Only issue we had was a blocked toilet and the room was quite small for two adults and two kids. Would defiantly stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good hotel in great location"
Hotel is in an ideal location and has enough facilities for visitors but it could do with a decorative update. Bathroom fittings need updating as does wallpaper in bedrooms. Hair dryer provided but could be better. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Couldn't do enough for us but weren't provided with hand towels one day and took two requests […] to get something and then got bath mats instead. Concierge desk could do with an update but bar and toilets and reception always clean and tidy. Area outside hotel beside bench is handy for smoking area but bin beside bench needs emptied more often. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Four of us stayed in a family room in this hotel, very spacious & clean. Very central so we did not need to get the tube very often. Really enjoyed, will definitely be back again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location within walking distance of the west end and Buckingham Palace, Helpful staff. Please re decorate soon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was a good size (for a family of 4) with a nice street view, and the bathroom was decent. Gave a 3 for cleanliness and condition as although the bedding/towels and bathroom were all new/ crisp & clean ..things like the carpets/baseboards were worn and grubby. It was a lot better than several other places I have stayed in London though! Overall […] we would definitely recommend for the friendly and helpful staff and reasonable rates for being a short stroll from Buckingham palace and other sights! Lovely staffs. Hotel is close to everything from restaurants, tourist attractions, public transportations and shopping malls. I would definitely come back in this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is a two star hotel in a five star location. The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The executive suites have been renovated but not the standard rooms. The furniture and carpets are worn out and the bathroom fixtures are falling apart. The cleaning staff however were excellent. The daily internet fee is very expensive but probably typical […] of London hotels. The restaurant reception was not that friendly - there were only two tables occupied in the restaurant but we were told they were too busy to accomodate us and there would be a 45min. wait. Not impressed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location! Spacious family rooms."
Would definately return, stay was lovely! Room, staff, check-in/out, concierge...all fantanstic!! My only fault was the food, we ate late and had a bar meal...3 sandwiches and a lasagne (with a coffee and pint it was over £50.00) The lasagne was cold in the middle, the bread very dry, filling tasteless...not good! We ate because we were hungry and […] it was late hense we didnt send the food back but we would not eat at the hotel again. We picked this hotel because it was convienient for a theatre show we had booked, t and found it very good. The only downside was the noise of the traffic although we were on the 5th floor, however we do live in a very quiet area so we are not use to a lot of noise so some may find it acceptable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel in excellent area"
This hotel is situated in Berkeley Street, just off Picadilly. It is therefore handy for Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, theatre land and Harrods. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, with air-conditioning. There was a little noise at night from outside, but not really disturbing as it was in Picadilly rather than Berkeley Street. Breakfast […] choices were excellent, although the toaster was malfunctioning. Dinners were a problem because the steaks could not be cooked thoroughly enough, but they were not charged for. "Great location, not great rooms"
We were given a room on the 4trh floor and it was disgusting, the smell was unbearable, I think it may have been a smoking room and the strong smell of shake n vac / airfreshener was overbearing. To have been given this room with 2 children was wrong. Also there was mold on the walls, all wood work was marked, wallpaper marked and peeling and dont get […] me on to the furniture - it wasnt fit for the tip. Comfy beds though... We immediately complained and were given a much better room on the 5th floor, although furniture still fit for the tip alot fresher, also dont expect the aircon to work all the time, couple night it work couple it didnt. this hotel needs a massive revamp. The only thing going for it is location which was perfect and the staff, they are wonderful, friendly and very helpful oh and the beds which were very comfy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location at a super quality/price ratio"
Nice clean rooms; concierge knowledge a bit spotty but their courtesy & service is excellent. Front desk service is A-1.
