"Great place with beautiful views!"
Only stayed a night, but really enjoyed the view of the harbor and the room was nice and clean! Daughter loved the tv in the bathroom.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Thank you for sharing your feedback, particularly about the cleanliness of your guestroom. We take great pride in maintaining this gem of a property. As far as the flat screen telvesion in the bathroom, it truly is the smaller details that help shape a great experience. What a great touch--and good news, following our early 2014 renovation, we will still feature flat-screen televisions in all of our bathrooms!
"Lovely Hotel, But Slightly Damp"
The hotel is lovely, and it's well maintained for it's age. Also, it was very humid when I was staying there. Unfortunately, the room was more humid than it was outside (the bedding felt vaguely damp the whole time because of it), and we had to fiddle with the drain stop in the sink to keep the sink open. They also said microwaves were available by […] request on the website and this was not actually the case. That aside, it is a beautiful hotel, the catering was wonderful, the staff was pleasant, and all in all, the problems would not keep me from coming back again, nor would it keep me from recommending the hotel. Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Meg, thank you for sharing your experience, and particularly for providing a high level of detail in your review. We certainly apologize for the moisture issues that occurred during your stay; Baltimore certainly can be very humid during August, but our rooms should not face the issues you describe so we will be on the lookout for similar instances so we can take the steps from preventing this from happening. Regarding microwaves, we do have microwaves on request at a $30 fee per night.
"Wonderful Family Vacation"
I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived till checkout everything and everyone was awesome. The hotel was spotless, the recreation area (pool, gym, sauna) was amazing, and most important the people went out of their way to make our trip perfect!! We will definitely be back!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore AG, thank you for sharing your experience, and we are pleased that you had such a great stay! Our Houseleeping team in particular loves reading that the hotel was "spotless"! Lots of guests don't take the time to visit our rooftop indoor pool, gym, and brand new sports court--the facilities are amazing! We hope you'll come see us again soon!
"Easy access to the Inner Harbour"
The room was surprising large, clean. The furniture a bit worn but ok. Couldn't understand why Queen size beds weren't offered as there was plenty of room for them.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore You are absolutely spot-on in your comments! Our 420-squaree foot guestrooms are the largest in the city. And coming early in 2014 in conjunction with our renovations, our guestrooms with two double beds will feature two queen beds! And our king-bedded rooms will also offer a sleeper sofa! Our model rooms are in place and ready to show--and the new guestrooms are even more amazing than our current guestrooms. Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed review!
"hotel was nice, but not worth the money"
Hotel was very nice and very convenient! They are not very accommodating. When checking in I was informed that an additional $100.00 would be marked against my card for security purposes only. I also requested a microwave in my room, but it was not there when I checked in. When calling the front desk I was informed that a micro-wave would cost me an […] additional 30.00. The hotel is nice, but not worth the money Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore We apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. Virtually all full service hotels require that a per-night deposit (typically just a hold on a credit card) is collected at the time of arrival, and we understand that if you choose to pay by cas or debit card that this can tie up your funds. Regarding microwaves, we do charge a $30 per night fee for rental, a price that is in line with the fee assessed by other AAA 4-Diamond hotels in the city. Thank you for your detailed review, and for describing the hotel as very nice and convenient!
"Great hotel for the Baltimore Convention Center"
I stayed here with a group of friends for the 2013 Otakon Convention held at the BCC and this room was worth every penny. The location is only two blocks away from the convention center and was everything we needed. The staff was friendly and had no problems getting us extra towels or blankets. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. My only complaints […] are the lack of a vent/fan in the bathroom (remedied by matches and lysol spray) and our soap/shampoo dispensers were empty in the shower. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will probably book again in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Thank you for the great review! We've enjoyed hosting guests of the Otakon convention as long as I can remember, and we were sorry to learn that the group is headed to Washington, D.C. beginning in 2017. I apologize that your bathroom amenity dispensers were not well-stocked; we will print your review and share it with our Room Attendants as a point of emphasis about the details and how much they matter. We'll hopefully wsee you for Otakon 2014!

"We stayed at the Royal Sonesta as a half way stop."
On our way driving to and from Virginia beach we made the Royal Sonesta our rest stop before continuing on. The staff made us feel like royalty, especially the baggage handlers who were especially helpful and pleasant. The hotel was beautifully decorated and very clean. Once the car was parked, we had no reason to use it until the next day when we headed […] to Virginia or again after we came back and headed home. The Inner Harbor was an easy walk away where we did some light shopping and enjoyed some great dining. Touring the historical ships made for an interesting afternoon. "Great hotel, great place"
Had a great stay in Baltimore. Would have been perfect had my wheelchair accessible room actually been accessible. The staff did everything they could to make it work, but had to "shower" in the sink.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Stephen, I'm glad you had a great experience despite not receiving an accessible room. We have 8 ADA accessible rooms, 6 of which feature an accessible tub with handrails, and 2 of which feature a roll-in shower. I apologize that we did not honor your reservation as confirmed.

"A lot of space to move around."
We had two queens and there was a lot of room to move around. Much more than a usual room that isn't a suite. Right on inner harbor. Excellent workout facility with numerous machines. Went to Camden Yards, only half mile away. Enjoyable experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Our 420-square foot guestrooms are the largest non-suite guestrooms in Baltimore! Great location and staff. Only negative, found undergarments on back of bathroom door, from whoever stayed previous, left me wondering about cleanliness.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we appreciate finding out about the housekeeping issue you encountered. We've printed your review and we are using it as a reminder for our team to concentrate on the details, because we recognize that the devil is in the details.
"Not quite up to the price."
Window obviously had been leaking because the window sill was warped. Window was not clean, which was too bad because we had a harbor view! Older hotel - could use some upgrades; obviously gets a lot of wear and tear.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Kate, thank you for sharing your feedback--and we agree wholeheartedly with your comments. Sonesta took over this great property just over a year ago, with complete understanding that a full renovation is needed. Our renovation begins in late January 2014, and we will wrap up by mid-spring. The renovation will feature new carpeting, wallpaper, and furniture in all 195 guestrooms and suites--we are so excited! We hope you'll come see us again once the renovations are complete!
Very nice room. No bathrobes though. The staff at this hotel are excellent. We came downstairs expecting taxis waiting outside, the previous couple took the last one, the staff asked us where we were headed and had the hotel limo take us instead of us waiting for another taxi. I highly recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Mike, I'm so glad our staff made for a memorable experience! We provide our team with the tools and training necessary to take care of all of our guests, and we are so glad it shows! "Great hotel, Convenient to everything"
I chose this hotel based on reviews and proximity to the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards. Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. Upon our check-in, there were no rooms available with 2 beds. We were upgraded to a corner suite with views of the harbor. Couldn't have asked for more. The kids loved the indoor pool […] and my older son enjoyed racket ball for the first time with my husband. We ate breakfast one morning at the hotel. The food was fresh and delicious. They even offered a kids menu which was not expected. Many of the negative reports I read prior to our visit referred to the hotel in need of renovations. This is a beautiful, traditional hotel. The room was charming with a Victorian feel. I guess if you are looking for a modern feel, you might be disappointed. Otherwise I recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the harbor or Camden Yards. Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore We are so pleased to hear that our great staff turned a potential 'problem' into such a great experience! "Nice hotel right next to harbor."
Nice hotel right next to harbor. Parking was pricey.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Thank you for the great rating and warm comments about the hotel and our location. Regarding parking costs, unfortunately parking in Baltimore is expensive jsut as in other major East Coast cities. Our surveys show that our parking prices are extremely coompetitive and in line with other Baltimore hotels. Come see us again soon!
"Close to Camden Yards & the Inner Harbor"
When we checked in the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They gave us a map and circled the close by things to see. The only problem was the in room AC. It worked but would never get cool enough for the temperature to go down to the setting.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Our staff is terrific, and allow us to provide the personal touch that you describe. We apologize that your A/C unit wasn't functioning properly, and I assume that we've had a chance to address and correct the issue while you were here. Thank you for being our guest!
"Costs way too much for what you get"
I admit, I chose this pricey hotel so I could walk back from an Orioles game. I wish now I would have stayed 10 miles away and ridden the light rail. The room was comfortable, except that we, as a family of 3, were given ONE king sized bed to sleep in. The Keurig machine didn't work. Small coffee from the coffee bar was $2.44!! The hair dryer stopped […] working for no reason after five minutes. I didn't alert the staff about any of my issues, so I can't speak about how well they responded. however, at check-out, I was asked, "how was your stay?" I replied, "It was just OK." The person didn't ask a follow- up question nor offer any kind of condolence. on a positive note, the shower was excellent, the valet attendants were down-to-earth and funny, and the bed was comfortable. Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Elizabeth, we are disappointed to here about your experience, and we appreciate your feedback. We just placed the Keurigs in the guestrooms, and we will inspect them all to make certain they are functioning properly. "Location, location could not have been better."
Our habor-view room was terrific. A few blocks to Oriole Stadium; and walikng distance to a hundred restaurants, museums, and the breath-taking Baltimore Harbor. Absolutely beautiful! Our room could use a little "refreshing", but still very comfortable and nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Our location is certainly a highlight! We are truly right in the middle of it all, and yet we are set back from the road just enough that we also have a quiet, peaceful building despite being so close to the action! Our renovation begins in January and continues throughout the first few months of 2014; when you hopefully return next summer, you'll be treated to a brand new hotel!
"Beautiful, historic hotel on the inner harbor"
This is a beautiful, historic hotel and our room had the most fabulous view of the inner harbor. The rooms are a great size and quite luxurious! The staff is wonderful. We really enjoyed staying at the Royal Sonesta and will be going back!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Thank you for the great review! We are glad you enjoyed the terrific sweeping views of the Inner Harbor and we appreciate your warm comments about our great staff! Our hotel debuted in 1986, so we are not considered a historic hotel, but the property is designed to look like one, as we feature antique furniture and art throughout the hotel.
Very nice hotel in the center of it all. You are steps away from Federal Hill and a short walk away from Fells Point and Little Italy. They have a cramped driveway which wasn't managed well so people were parking in all kinds of strange ways. Other than the driveway, everything else was very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Thank you, Paul, for a detailed review. I am guessing that you stayed on a weekend, because that's the only time that the driveway becomes congested, as we host several events and teas most weekends and the hotel is typically at full occupancy during the weekend. Thank you for pointing out that we are so close to the finer neighborhoods that make Baltimore "Charm City"!

"Arguably the Best Hotel at the Inner Harbor"
I've now stayed at seven different hotels in the Inner Harbor and the Royal Sonesta is easily the best. First off, the hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The rooms were great, the lounge had a relaxing atmosphere and the pool/hot tub area was tremendous; the hotel staff was unfailingly nice and helpful, several times going well out of their way to […] accommodate me and my girl. Location was perfect as well. Exit the hotel, turn left, walk 75 yards and you're on the water with restaurants, shops and tourist attractions everywhere. Feel like heading over to Fells Point for a change of scenery? No problem, the water taxi is right there. Twelve bucks and you can take unlimited rides all day. We were able to get everywhere we wanted to go with our feet and the water taxi (no cabs or buses needed). I visit the harbor a couple of times a year and I can say with confidence I found the hotel I'll be staying at from now on when I visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Elegant Waterfront Hotel"
While the courtyard entrance off of the street made it a little difficult to find, once inside, the elegance of this hotel reminded me of Europe. The art collection is beautiful. Dining was superb. Be sure to drop off your bags if you are carrying a lot as the walk from the parking garage is not straightforward. A truly lovely experience!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Terri, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we hope you'll come again soon! Regarding our courtyard entrance, we hope once you found your way in to the hotel, you recognize how the courtyard really is a huge plus as it keeps the hustle and bustle of downtown out of the guest experience!
This hotel looks elegant and its pretty clean for the most part. However, our bedding was dusty and shedding feathers everywhere causing me to sneeze a lot. The bed was not comfortable and both my fiance and I slept terrible. The service was the worst part, especially the restaurant staff. Not to mention that the food was bland and not worth the money […] at all. The minibar in our room was empty and the television in the bathroom didn't work. Our check in was an hour late and they really weren't apologetic about it. It just wasn't the standard that the hotel presents itself as and we will not be returning. Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we apologize that you found your stay to be disappointing. These issues are not typical, and we hope you'll give us another shot. Regarding minibars, we recently removed them from our guestrooms (they did not receive high usage), which now allows us to provide a refrigerator in every guest room.
"Beautiful hotel directly across the harbor"
This is a lovely hotel with beautiful decorations. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We were on our way back from DC and decided to spend the day in Baltimore to visit the National Aquarium. We got the room with harbor view and this was great. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the aquarium. The front desk staff was nice enough to let us check in […] at 1:00pm so we had a place to unload our stuff and chill out before heading to the aquarium In the 95 degree heat. Didn't use many ammenities... But, pool and hot tub were super clean... Front desk was very helpful... Early check in given (not late checkout though... Although I got a parking voucher)... Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore We're glad you enjoyed your stay, and happy that our staff added our own little touch to your special occasion! Regarding late checkout not being granted, we're at such a high capacity this summer that we simply won;t have rooms ready at check-in if we allow guests to stay past 12:00 noon on busy arrival days. I'm glad we took care of your parking during your extended time, and hopefully we offered to store your luggage while you enjoyed the city.

The hotel was VERY nice, and ALL the staff we encountered were friendly and courteous. I think we hit it lucky only paying $200 per night for a harbor view room (we weren't prepared to pay any more than that - but if you have the means - get the view). The location was absolutely perfect - directly across the street from the harbor, and all it's places […] (aquarium, etc); and just a few blocks to Camden yards behind it!! AND if you want to go to any of the other little towns - you can take a water taxi (we recommend Fells Point - lots of shops and bars / restaurants in one location, right where you get off the taxi)!! And I was glad to at least know from other reviews about the parking expense so we could be prepared - we never needed the car, so it was $80 from Sunday at check in through Wednesday at check out. We loved everything about out Royal Sonesta stay. The most important thing was their staff. FOREVER to check in. Valet, VERY nice. Got things to rm, given brick wall vw with Q bd. Had pd for city vw w/ K bd. Starving and very tired, call dwnstairs 2 rprt. Husband slept […] this way and rprtd it. Were going to snd someone to fix it but told them to forget it. Didn't want to be bothered anymore during our stay. $150 dog deposit NOT REFUNDABLE for cleaning? My dog is as clean as ANY rm in this hotel. I could c had my dog done something 2 the rm that req'd xtra clning but come on. If vacuum'g and doing a little spray is $150, you should do away with this. Have styd at MANY hotels w/ dog at N/C. Okay. Drywall tape is hanging from ceiling of the bthrm. Any problem? Not really but at these prices? Evrytime neighbor turned on shower/flushed toilet, sounded as though pipes would burst. SO annoying. Then my son's room. Ordered cot for child. Had to wait for THAT. 1st night, front desk unorganized. Next 2 days? No complaints. DID get our parking for free but hardly worth the mess. Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore We apologize that you did not have a satisfactory experience with us. Regarding pet fees, the reason we charge $150 per stay is that following the departure of any guestroom that hosted a pet, we take the room out of inventory for a full night in order to de-odorize the room, as well as carefully inspect for an remove any trace of pet hair. Since so many people are allergic to pet hair, we take these steps--often at the expense of the next day's potential occupancy--to create the ideal environment for our future guests.
We went pool and had a breakfast at the hotel and these are very nice.Genuine Expedia guest review

Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore We're glad you had a great time, and we hope to host you again soon! While many guests comment on our wonderful staff and terrific location, I'd like to respond to your comment about the size of our guestrooms. At 420 square feet, we have the largest guestrooms in the Inner Harbor area. Each room features a foyer area with the bathroom, and the refrigerator and Keurig. That foyer area means that the bedroom is set back from the hallway, meaning you will rarely hear noise from the hallway.

"Walk away from everything, great location"
Lovely hotel. Wish that there were some comfortable chairs in our room to sit in. The room was spacious. Great pool, hours too short for travelers. Great location on the harbor. City view rooms, not a site of the city but a beautiful courtyard. Would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore Thank your the detailed feedback, D! We are undertaking an extensive renovation in the first few months of 2014--in fact, we have completed two model rooms--that feature new furniture, bedding, lighting, and fixtures. Sonesta assumed management of the hotel on May 31, 2012 and knew a major renovation was needed. Regarding the pool, our hours are limited because of the Baltimore City law requiring a lifeguard on duty at all times--therefore it makes sense to open from 7 am through 10 pm when demand is the highest.
"Hotel staff was tremendous"
Super nice and exceptionally helpful staff during our stay. Some visible water damage in the ceiling of the bathroom and minor wallpaper peeling in the main room but not a big deal compared to the cleanliness and neatness of the room. Would definitely stay there again when visiting Inner Harbor.Genuine Expedia guest review
