The location was perfect for us because our son lived just around the corner. Hotel was recently remodeled so everything was clean & fresh-looking. Towels were still nice and fluffy! Having a mini frig and microwave was a great convenience too; plus FREE use of computers in their business center. Great location near Times Square and the theater district and in walking distance of Central Park. We loved it and will definitely stay there again.

Our 2 days in New York city was excellent - Hotel staff and location was a real New York Experience. We were just moments from the major Broadway shows, subways (hotel helped us work out the best routes to take) Penne station 10 minutes walk which was also part of our New York Experience. We booked a Washington DC hotel at the same time and the costs per night compared to Washington DC - New York was an expensive option. BUT A MUST TO DO. Thank you to all the staff at this hotel for making our stay a great time in New York city.

The hotel was quite pricey, but you can't beat the location. All of the major theaters were only 5 minutes or less away (as well as the ticket sales). The front desk was quite helpful. The only down side was the walls were a bit thin and the crying baby and coughing older man were difficult to tune out.

Excellent attention to all details of room comfort and cleanliness. Spacious room, good lighting, comfortable bed; also quiet (I was on the 11th floor facing busy 8th Avenue). Exceptionally congenial and helpful staff--at the front desk, at the concierge desk (for information regarding tourist offerings in the city and how-to-get-there transit options). Central location: easy walk to Lincoln Center, theatre district, and museums (such as Museum of Modern Art). Also on site: a cheerful and reasonably priced French-themed restaurant, especially attractive for breakfast.

This is not a luxury hotel, but a good value for the money. We were close to Madison Square Garden and in the middle of the theater district.

I was very upset when we first arrived and found out that we had a smoking room. I never requested a smoking room, there were 4 girls staying in one hotel room and none of us smoke so why on earth would I choose a smoking room?? We asked to be moved and were told there are no other room available (it was a long weekend), but we would be moved the next day. The entire 5th floor is a smoking floor so we couldn't get away from the smell...it was awful!!!! We did get a new room the next day and we were all happy with that. However, when we checked out and were asked about our stay they asked if we were offered a complimentary breakfast and I replied "no"...maybe if the complimentary breakfast was offered it would have turned out better...too little too late!!!

Great location. Clean, comfortable. Nighttime security a plus. The windows actually opened a bit so we could hear big city noises and have fresh air, but when closed still kept the room relatively quiet. For more complete quiet, ask for a room at least above the 6th floor. Our 6th floor room didn't completely filter out all street noise. Fridge and micro in the room, with a deli nearby, made it easy to keep snacks and/or leftovers handy. Subway also nearby.

In today's era of hermetically sealed rooms, it was wonderful to be able to actually open our room windows. We could hear big-city street noises, and smell real air. That was a plus for us. We were within walking distance of theatres, and, of course, many restaurants. Clean, quiet, spacious room. Environmentally conscious management in that we had the option to reuse or ask for fresh bath towels and sheets. Very near a subway stop. If you do not want to feel the subway, ask for something above the 6th floor. There was still a distinct rumble on our floor.
