Motel 6 Houston Hobby Airport

The neighborhood seem nice, the hotel seem like it has been updated and the rooms also. The only thing was bad about the stay was the beds were hard. and extremely uncomfortable.

The place has a nice set up inside the room with a fridge and microwave. They had a nice flat screen to watch tv and they had all the channels to need to kill time until you leave the hotel. It seemed rather laid back too, which makes me lock them in as my hotel to stay on short trips to Houston, if they price is still as good then as it is now.

I chose the hotel for its price and proximity to Houston Hobby airport, as I had an early flight the following morning. Imagine my surprise to find out that an an airport hotel, their airport shuttle does not begin operating until 7am. My flight was at 6:45, so that was clearly not an option. I had the front desk call me a taxi, but as I walked through […] the airport and saw how many flights left between 6am and 7am, I couldn't understand how their shuttle could start running so late. If you only have a short period to stay and don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a hotel room and don't have kids, I would say stay here. The hotel is older and was apparently rennovated but it seems that it was done cheaply. The flat screen TV is modern and the decor seems to match as well. I chose this place because it was the cheapest I could find in that area, and I regretted it. The room had vinyl floors which was kind of weird. The AC unit was really old and didn't work correctly. You could hear everything that was going on in the room above us, but the worst part of the stay was the fact that there is some kind of dog kennel next […] door. Efficient. Hotel staff was accommodating and called for cab service the night before. The cab driver came and left early and had to be called back. When he didn't show after 20 minutes, the desk clerk took us to the airport on the shuttle (before normal operating hours). He was very helpful.

Economical: rest, pack and go. I got a single with an accomodating floorplan. The room had few if any obstructions, and I appreciated the tasteful hard surface on the floor and tailored bed linens. I didn't have to worry about tripping over puddling sheets and blankets. I'd stay there again.

I would definitely stay at Motel 6 again if needed. The only reason that the condition and and comfort of the room got a lower rating is the air was not on, so it took awhile for the room to cool off and the temperature in Houston was in the 90s that evening.

The lady behind the desk was very accommodating. The hotel was surprisingly immaculate. We like the tile floors in the room. Tile is always cleaner than carpeting. The bathroom was recently renovated and spotless. This is a great bargain for the Hobby airport area!

We had to get a room for the night because our AC went out in the apartment, so we figured a quick nights sleep at Motel 6 couldn't be all that bad of an option. Well, we were wrong. Way wrong. The lady at the front desk gave away our room while we were out to dinner and had already checking in. As we walked up to our room after dinner we saw a family […] IN OUR ROOM with OUR BAGS on top of the bed. I was irate, and all the lady at the front desk did was give us her patented stoned look, paused for 3 minutes, and then proceeded to apologize. It was clear she had no clue how to do her job. When we got back to our room, of all things to go wrong...went wrong. The AC didn't work. The woman up front would not give us another room. Just a terrible experience overall. Read more

The hotel is next to a strip club, I didn't like that at all. The hotel was remodeled to have a modern look with very cheap materials. The front desk clerk kept answering the phones rather than assist the customers in front of her. The plus side is that it was nice and quiet, room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

This Motel 6 has much to be desired. The room was not renovated as stated during the booking process. There was NO microwave or refrigerator in the room. Unlike the descriptions, I was told that I was supposed to ask for a microwave and refrigerator--those amenities are advertised everywhere in the bulding and on the courtesy van but they were not available. […] The floors were not properly installed and had missing patches on the tile. The room was poorly maintained and the staff needs to work a little better at cleaning and overall upkeep of the facility. It is true that I really got what I paid for. this is an old motel at a convenient location near I-45 S on Airport Blvd. Halls are musty, but the room was clean. Bring your own shampoo if you need to wash your hair. Morning coffee is in the lobby, not in your room.

Not a bad place to lay your head when you have an early departure or late-night arrival at Hobby Airport. The new modern interiors at Motel 6 are spare but very clean-replacing carpets with laminate makes for a much cleaner feel and smell. A little concern with windshield glass in the parking lot, though.

Didn't know there was a lot of adult themed activities next to this hotel. If I knew that before hand I wouldn't of stayed here. That's if location is a concern for you. The upkeep can be improved. The bed is good. Not much tv channels.

Nice remodelled hotel, few minutes fr the airport, HOU. Can be improve on the towels- old, well worn out, and rough. Good price but bring your own towels and personal hygiene items.

Who ever did your remodel ripped ripped you off. The air conditionor didnt work, The sheetrock repair in the bedroom......my dog could have done a better job. Large gap around plug and plugs that had been moved. The repair was terrible. Basically, someone has no pride in their work. The bathroom.......the light fixture plexiglass was not installed and […] you could see all the way into the light fixture. The light bulbs were painted over and spilled paint on the bathtub/shower. The molding at the bottom of the bathtub.shower was just barely hangin on. The shuttle to the airport didnt start until after 7:00. Most people are gone by then......so the shuttle service sucked. There was no coffee made in the morning. The mattress was extremely unconfortable and pillow had to have been several years old. Even for the great price.........it still was not worth it. For just a little effort and minimal $$$ you could make this a very good hotel. Read more

When I frist checked in @ the front desk it took a very long time for the clerk to get me a room, then when i got to the room I found cigerett holes in the bed sheets, then when I went to take a shower I looked up and there was a lot of mold on the ceiling and it look liked the ceiling had dry wall falling down. I called the front desk to speak with […] the manager or owner of the hotel, the clerk then gave me a telephone number to the owner of the hotel, I called the number and lo and behold it was to the front desk. I left a message for the owner to call me back, in the mean time i asked if i could have a iron and ironing board, the clerk said' it would be a $10.00 deposit. i think that was a slap in the face. the owner called back a few hours later and he dint seem like he cared. i will never use this service again... The hotel is kind of renovated, looks clean and nice, the only thing that I do not like it, was the floors, no carpet, I prefer carpet floors, is safer and confortable. The price I got for one night worth it, and yes I will check again if I need to travel again to Houston.
